UPDATED to clarify a misunderstanding in the youtube demonitized word list.
Some people may know of Youtube’s strange algorithm that will “demonetize” videos if they have certain keywords in the title. At least, according to this site and this list. And to say that some of these words are extremely innocuous is an understatement.
Then there is the case of the automatic bots, AI, and reporting system that targets certain content and certain narratives. So many previous youtube users have been canceled, banned, demonetized for not falling in line and supporting a certain view. This is also indicative of youtube’s policy, which basically states that it is allowed to ban/delete/censor/demonetize any video if it “breaks any of their rules”, of course under their definition. So something like “hate speech” could simply be someone stating, “I can’t stand dogs. Cats are way better.” or, “Down with math! I hate math! Math is racist!” …
There is another theory that even though youtube is able to demonetize any video they wish, they are still able to get viewers and content creators with all of these demonetized videos while not having to pay them for ads – saving this, instead, for their “cream of the crop”.

Now, another interesting thing that I came across, are OTHER certain key words that trigger youtube’s algorithm in a different way.
Perhaps you’ve seen a screen like this on youtube while watching a certain video:

At the bottom of the video there is an “information panel” to present additional information to the viewer for that specific topic. Regardless of the opinions contained within that video. So these “information panels” are basically to guide the viewer to the “actual facts” of that subject matter.
In the above example, we can see that it is a COVID-19 related information panel, because tptsb want to enforce their idea onto the public about what covid is, how severe it is, and how we all MUST take the vaccine in order to go back to normal. …Clicking on that specific LEARN MORE link will take you to the cdc website.
Now besides their use of the information bar for specific news sources, like they use for BBC, PBS, etc., this specific information bar for covid is meant to combat “misinformation” on topical subjects.

Huh. They must have read my mind. Because the “moon landing” is exactly what I was looking up when noticing this very helpful “information” bar. Sure, I’ve seen it before, but it never really caught my attention until just recently.
While researching interesting information about NASA (there’ll be a post about them coming up soon), I noticed that the youtube video I was watching mentioned “flat Earth” and the dome/firmament allegedly around us that would prevent NASA from actually going into outer space and showing us all these lovely videos and photographs of the Earth from a distance, etc., etc., and the alleged Mars rover landings. This topic is a whole different subject altogether, which I won’t get into here, but thought it was interesting that the youtube algorithm would specifically give an information bar about “flat Earth”.

If you notice, the video does not mention “flat earth” in the title, but it is a subject discussed in the video. Now, why would an affiliate of youtube (if it’s not youtube themselves) go through the time and effort to specifically put this additional information bar trying to lead the viewers to a third-party website to “combat misinformation”, if youtube is supposedly a platform highlighting the following (found on their own About page) –

Freedom of Expression: “We believe people should be able to speak freely, share opinions, foster open dialogue, and that creative freedom leads to new voices, formats and possibilities.“
Freedom of Information: “We believe everyone should have easy, open access to information and that video is a powerful force for education, building understanding, and documenting world events, big and small.“
Freedom of Opportunity: “We believe everyone should have a chance to be discovered, build a business and succeed on their own terms, and that people—not gatekeepers—decide what’s popular.“
Freedom to Belong: “We believe everyone should be able to find communities of support, break down barriers, transcend borders and come together around shared interests and passions.“
Either they are lying through their teeth about their own beliefs and values, or they have no idea what “freedom” means. …Or I guess it could be both.
Some people will try to defend youtube’s rights to deplatform or demonetize anyone they wish, but you can’t tell me that their “views” aligns with what they are actually doing.
And why are these “critics” so afraid of people believing in flat earth to begin with? If it’s such a RIDICULOUS claim and all of these people are dolts for entertaining the idea, what’s the harm if they believe in a nonsense conspiracy theory? If the world is really a globe then just chalk it up to a whole bunch of people being foolishly misled and move on. …Unless, of course, too many people are believing it and it’s harming the very fabric of a billion-dollar enterprise that uses the tax-payers money to engage in fraudulent mass manipulation and deception. Just food for thought.
Getting to the other trigger words I’ve found that will bring up a similar information bar, along with “flat Earth” and “covid“, there are also these:

Now why would these very few and very specific words trigger an “information” bar?
I’ve tried a long list (being of a conspiratorial or controversial nature) of what I thought would trigger an information bar, but the above were the only ones I’ve seen so far. I’ve tried:

– hydroxychloroquine
– lgbqt
– gender
– abortion
– pizzagate
– wikileaks

(Now I’m probably on a list for making this list…)
I’ve searched many more terms, but these are just ones I’ve decided to highlight to show the diversity of the topics that I looked up. None of these triggered the information bar. So it’s very interesting that the few words above did.
While youtube back in its glory days was more of a fair, user-friendly platform that tried to treat everyone equally, that is no longer the case. Now, the company is nothing more than a propaganda driven love-fest with the efforts being spent on highlighting biased, partisan views (their own views or that of their top monetary donors…) instead of an outlet where people are allowed to say their own opinions (and facts! in some cases) – within reason, of course. Yes, hate speech is still something that is hard to tackle, but when one can literally call anything and everything “hate speech”, the lines become severely blurred and prevents anyone from saying anything due to unfair criticism and judgement.
Debate is no longer an option. Now it is, “Do as I say, and think as I do, or you’re a terrorist. White supremacist. Conspiracy theorist. Engaging in hate speech. Fake news. Misinformation. Dangerous far-right dissenter. We must de-platform, ban, censor, delete, dox – anything we can do to get you in line or shut you out.”
This is what we’re faced with. Why are people getting attacked for their different belief structures? Is it because it dares to fly in the face of a corrupt organization(s) that is trying to implement their absolute tyranny over the whole planet? Does it threaten their ideologies and/or the wool that they’ve put over the public’s eyes? Why are certain “theories” being so harshly condemned and persecuted?
And strange theories, they are. Could these possibly have an ounce (or a ton) of truth to them? And this is why these immoral establishments are trying so hard to reign the control back in? Are people waking up to the possibility that we’re all being massively lied to on a grand scale? (And could it also be a diversionary tactic to keep our attention away from something completely different?)
Fact checking is extremely important. I want to reiterate not to take everything at face value; no matter what you read, where you read it from, or who you hear it from. And to be clear, do not rely on “fact checking” websites to give you accurate information either. These are just as likely, (if not even more likely…), to feed false information and false debunking accounts to manipulate the reader. Please take everything into consideration before adhering to a certain narrative – and always keep your mind open to other possibilities.
