There’s been a lot of debate as to Jesus Christ’s origin, from those who are steadfast in the belief that Jesus Christ is God who came to this planet in the flesh, to those who believe Jesus Christ is actually the son of God, or that he’s just a regular human being; and then there are those who think Jesus Christ is many different mythologies and cultural/religious beliefs all rolled into one being in an attempt to unify everyone under a one world religion.
The controversy surrounding this subject has literally been going on for ages.
But one thing I think is interesting are the people who claim that they can “channel” a different entity/spirit/being/consciousness (some even claim that they channel Jesus Christ himself) and the topics they discuss in regards to religion, spirituality, and God.
I’ve never really done a whole big study on the different channeled material, and I figure, if these channeled entities are truly from an intelligent species or an access into universal knowledge and have insights into the REAL mystery behind the one known as Jesus Christ, then surely all these different material would align with each other and give us the same pieces of information.
Well, let’s take a look.
I think I just fell down a rabbit hole, ladies and gentlemen. While researching channeled material and attempting to present my findings here, came across “Cosmic Awareness” and an article of sorts that was written in 1981.
You can find that here if you’d like to read it. It is called “The ‘Rebellion’ in Heaven and the ‘Fall’ of Man”.
I will have to come back to this article, however, and read it in full when I have the time.
The channeled/alternative materials that I will be looking into are Cosmic Awareness, the Law of One/Ra, Edgar Cayce (who allegedly accessed the Akashic Records), Seth (Jane Roberts), and A Course in Miracles.
This is mainly a look into their messages about Jesus Christ, specifically. And since I find these “channeled material” fascinating (even if it turns out to be some kind of inner access to our own conscious/subconscious knowledge) I will most likely be doing more posts on various different topics that have been covered by these methods.
Brief introduction to Cosmic Awareness:
Cosmic Awareness, we have learned from the thousands of “readings” It has given, has many names. Some call it God, Jehovah, the First Cause, the Great I AM etc., but Awareness has said It was not a single person, not an entity, not an anthropomorphic concept, that It was often defined but never definable. It has defined Itself as beauty, concentration, and above all “Truth”. It has called Itself, “Anti-Matter”, pure space, “Pure Nothingness that Is Everything”, or the Everything that is essentially Nothing.” It has described Itself as being “that which is next to that which does not speak” and as the “highest form of energy in the solar system”. It corresponds to the highest impersonalized concepts of God, the Clear Light. It has said that in the past It spoke through the great avatars: the Buddha, Mohammed, Moses, Jesus, Krishna, Capila and others who served as “channels” for the “Heavenly Father”.– COSMIC AWARENESS SPEAKS (pdf) | 1980-1982 | pg. 7
From reading through some of the COSMIC AWARENESS SPEAKS pdf mentioned above, ‘This Awareness’ suggests that when Jesus Christ mentions, “When two or more gather in my name, I shall be among you.” or (another wording) “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” – Matthew 18:20, there are actually two different meanings to this.
In fact, one can assume that throughout the whole Bible and throughout all of Jesus’ sayings, there are two meanings to his teachings. One is for the majority of the public – to be taken almost literally with no hidden meaning. So with the quote above, it would mean an obvious two or more people, gathered together in His name to pray. However, then we have the hidden meaning, the esoteric teaching that Jesus intended for His disciples and those small few with the insight to discern the “true” meaning of what he’s saying.
This Awareness then lays it out to what Jesus really meant, which is:
This Awareness indicates however, the esoteric meaning, (for those who had ears to hear the inner teachings), this “two or more” referred to the conscious and sub-conscious, or the middle and lower self of the entity, as the two, and the Higher Self as the Triune Being; and if more were present, such as another entity, this too would be favorable.– COSMIC AWARENESS SPEAKS (pdf) | 1980-1982 | pg. 52
It goes on to mention the unity between the male consciousness, and the female (unconscious or subconscious), which is the whole basis and objective in order to reach the Christ consciousness:
This Awareness indicates however, that the message was basically directed toward the conscious and subconscious, meaning that if the conscious and subconscious are in harmony in a mystical union, working together, a house not divided but unified, if the conscious (male) and the unconscious or subconscious (female) aspects of the human body were together in harmony, then the third aspect, the Christ Consciousness, would also be present.
Now all of this talk about esoteric teachings and the unity between the consciousnesses can actually be found in some of the Gnostic Gospels that are not included in the Bible, due to the church’s declaration about their doubts on it’s legitimacy and what they determine to be inauthentic origins. Further reading into the Gnostic Gospels will give the reader more clues about why it was not included in the actual biblical texts, since there is a lot that one can ascribe as being heresy or flat out blasphemy.
However, to study different origins and get to the truth, one must look at all different sources of information, and not just one piece of text as the end-all, be-all. Regardless of how unpleasant the potential findings might be.
Now, in the below passage, we see Cosmic Awareness alluding to Jehovah and Jesus, and their suggestion as to their relation to each other…
This Awareness indicates the entity Jesus, as has been explained previously, assisted to reverse the forces which this entity Jehovah began, and Jehovah at present is not in the process of destroying humanity and saving his own, but rather is in the process of balancing out the energies of this planet in order to bring about harmony and to undo the harm which he unleashed when began his operations. This Awareness reminds entities that the term “Jehovah” as likened unto that which applies to a tribe of space people with one named Yahweh as the leader, and this entity as being the force behind this action. This Awareness indicates that these entities are working on this Earth to undo some of the energies which have brought about much conflict through the Hebrews and their programming by Yahweh.– How the Myth of Jesus was created (part 7)
Again, the rabbit hole into all of these “indications” goes deep. So much so that to cover it all would require a book (or an encyclopedia series…), so I will not delve too much into the details that Cosmic Awareness is presenting. I am just offering it up to compare with other channeled/alternative materials to see if there is some form of consistency between all of them. With everything, I always encourage people to research and explore and study things on their own as well.
One more thing I want to allude to, is the following information that Cosmic Awareness has presented to the public…
This Awareness indicates the Hebrews were expecting a spaceship of Jehovah to return in power and slay their enemies. This Awareness indicates that essentially, the entity Jesus, coming and claiming to be the Messiah, was a great disappointment and was totally unacceptable to the Hebrews who were told through their religions, and the passing down of their history from father to son, from mother to daughter, that their god was a god of power, vengeance, and of great protection, and one who would slaughter and slay their enemies. The entity Jesus as coming back and personifying love and mercy, in itself, was unacceptable to many of the Hebrews.
This Awareness indicates that the entity Jesus was, in fact, not one of the Jehovah, but one of the Serpent People, or those entities who were the followers of the Elohim –the entity Jesus as being an Elohim himself.
Have fun down the rabbit hole, should you choose to go down it.
The Law of One / Ra
Many might be familiar with this material and the channelers that were involved with it: “L/L Research (Carla Rueckert, Don Elkins, and Jim McCarty) between 1981 and 1984.”
Here is the introduction to the Law of One / Ra and their purpose:
“I am Ra. The Law of One, though beyond the limitations of name, as you call vibratory sound complexes, may be approximated by stating that all things are one, that there is no polarity, no right or wrong, no disharmony, but only identity. All is one, and that one is love/light, light/love, the Infinite Creator.” (from session 4)
The Law of One material is a series of 106 conversations, called sessions, between Don Elkins, a professor of physics and UFO investigator, and Ra, speaking through Carla Rueckert. Ra states that it/they are a sixth-density social memory complex that formed on Venus about 2.6 billion years ago. Ra says that they are “humble messengers of the Law of One” and that they previously tried to spread this message in Egypt with mixed results.
I remember reading some Ra material a long time ago, and am revisiting it now to see their thoughts on Jesus Christ. Let’s see how it compares with the other channeled material.
73.13 Questioner: What was the orientation with respect to this type of communication for the one known as Jesus of Nazareth?
Ra: I am Ra. You may have read some of this entity’s workings. It offered itself as teacher to those mind/body/spirit complexes which gathered to hear and even then spoke as through a veil so as to leave room for those not wishing to hear.
This again seems to be implying that Jesus brought forth teachings that would have appealed to the majority of the public as that of literal, straight-forward sayings, and in turn would also appeal to those who “have ears to hear” the hidden, spiritual/esoteric meaning of His teachings.
This is actually a biblical reference:
10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”
11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
13 This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: “ ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’
16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
Much to my surprise, with further digging, did come across some other similarities between the Cosmic Awareness messages and the Law of One. Take the following Q&A into account:
24.9 Questioner: Then Yahweh, in an attempt to correct what he saw as what I might call a mistake (I know you don’t want to call it that), started 3,300 years ago with the positive philosophy. Were both the Orion and Yahweh philosophies impressed telepathically, or were there other techniques used?
Ra: I am Ra. There were two other techniques used: one by the entity no longer called Yahweh, who still felt that if it could raise up entities which were superior to the negative forces, that these superior entities could spread the Law of One. Thus this entity, “Yod Heh Shin Vau Heh,” came among your people in form according to incarnate being and mated in the normal reproductive manner of your physical complexes, thus birthing a generation of much larger beings, these beings called “Anak.”
More research into these findings goes deeper into genes/genetic and cloning, which Cosmic Awareness mentions in similar messages.
And fascinatingly, even the term “Yod Heh Shin Vau Heh” is used in both Law of One (as seen above) and Cosmic Awareness.
I also want to bring attention to the term “Anak” and the implication that the Law of One is saying, quite blasphemously if one is to take the wide-held belief that Jesus died a virgin (although there is no biblical proof either way that He did or did not have children of His own – just alluded that He had no children)… saying that this “Yod Heh Shin Vau Heh” (another term for Jesus/Yahweh) had physical relationships and birthed the nephilim.
33 We also saw the Nephilim there (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”
There are other references to the nephilim in other texts of the Bible and the Gnostic Gospel, as well as other lore and mythology.
So there are a few theories regarding these similarities between the Law of One and the Cosmic Awareness. Either both parties involved are working in cahoots with each other, or perhaps one is plagiarizing the other to get their information. Perhaps they are receiving their messages by some sort of radio signal from a third (human) party meant to lead them astray. Maybe they really are getting their information from a cosmic source. Even if they were, how can we know that their intention is benevolent and not one of malicious intent? After all, their messages don’t really align with the biblical version that most Christians are familiar with.
As another example, here is another finding of the Law of One that describes what Jesus in his youth to his playmate:
17.19 Questioner: How did Jesus learn this during his incarnation?
Ra: I am Ra. This entity learned the ability by a natural kind of remembering at a very young age. Unfortunately, this entity first discovered his ability to penetrate intelligent infinity by becoming the distortion you call “angry” at a playmate. This entity was touched by the entity known as Jesus to you and was fatally wounded.
Thus the one known as Jesus became aware that there dwelt in him a terrible potential. This entity determined to discover how to use this energy for the good, not for the negative. This entity was extremely positively polarized and remembered more than most Wanderers do.
According to this revelation, Jesus Christ killed his playmate.
Of course, we won’t find anything like this in the Bible, but if we take a look at the Gnostic Gospel text “THOMAS’S GOSPEL of the INFANCY of JESUS CHRIST” we can see the following verse, “7 Another time Jesus went forth into the street, and a boy running by, rushed upon his shoulder; 8 At which Jesus being angry, said to him, thou shalt go no farther. 9 And he instantly fell down dead:“
I wonder why the church didn’t want this book included in the New Testament.
There’s more where that came from, but I’ll just leave it at that for now.
Edgar Cayce: The Sleeping Prophet
To keep with the tradition of the other entries, here is an introduction to who Edgar Cayce was:
Edgar Cayce (pronounced Kay-Cee, 1877-1945) has been called the “sleeping prophet,” the “father of holistic medicine,” and the most documented psychic of the 20th century. For more than 40 years of his adult life, Cayce gave psychic “readings” to thousands of seekers while in an unconscious state, diagnosing illnesses and revealing lives lived in the past and prophecies yet to come.
Later in life, Cayce would find that he had the ability to put himself into a sleep-like state by lying down on a couch, closing his eyes, and folding his hands over his stomach. In this state of relaxation and meditation, he was able to place his mind in contact with all time and space — the universal consciousness, also known as the super-conscious mind. From there, he could respond to questions as broad as, “What are the secrets of the universe?” and “What is my purpose in life?” to as specific as, “What can I do to help my arthritis?” and “How were the pyramids of Egypt built? His responses to these questions came to be called “readings,” and their insights offer practical help and advice to individuals even today.
Now let’s see how Mr. Edgar Cayce’s readings stack up to the other channeled material we’re comparing.
Just from the little bit of research I’ve started, can already tell that Edgar Cayce and the Law of One/Ra are tied together. There are mentions of Edgar Cayce as possibly being an incarnation of RaTa who gave guidance and directions to the Egyptians in an attempt to better their society.
As for Edgar’s readings on Jesus, we have the information that Jesus, in fact, had many incarnations as well.
Amongst the mentions are: Adam, Enoch, Joshua and Hermes.
Further reading will reveal that while Jesus was, according to Cayce, incarnated as Hermes during Ancient Egypt, Cayce himself, incarnated as RaTa at the time, instructed Hermes to build the temples and pyramids that were intended to help the empire.
Now back to another similarity that the Cosmic Awareness brought forth (which, one has to wonder if any of the channeled material that came after Cayce may actually be an attempt to duplicate his readings as a different form in order to keep the readings alive, or to benefit from it, perhaps… Just a speculation, and I hope that I am wrong)
Cayce described the true nature between humanity and God. Cayce revealed that humans actually have three different dimensions of human awareness: the conscious mind (personality), the subconscious mind (soul) and the superconscious mind (spirit). An important goal in everyone’s life is to awaken our superconscious mind to attain what Cayve called at-one-ment with God.
The superconscious mind is called by many names by many religions in many different cultures. Some of these names are: Buddha consciousness, Christ consciousness, the Collective Mind, the Universal Mind, the Collective Unconsciousness, the Holy Spirit, Brahman, God, the Clear White Light, Allah, Higher Self, the Mind of Christ, etc.
Cayce’s references to the Christ, the Christ consciousness and the Mind of Christ has little to do with the personality known as Jesus. Cayce revealed that Jesus became the Christ – a full manifestation of the Christ consciousness – the perfect union of the human with the divine.
Now, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Edgar Cayce is a devout Christian and studies the Bible religiously. (no pun intended) So there were undoubtedly a few readings that perturbed Cayce himself upon waking from his trance and finding out what was dictated.
The idea of reincarnation, for one, and the thought that one could achieve oneness with God by uniting each aspect of their consciousness. These have been determined to not be biblical teachings.
However, again, what a lot of these channeled materials propose, is in the Gnostic Texts – which are declared not canon. And it wasn’t until after Cayce’s death that the Gnostic Gospels were discovered in Nag Hammadi.
So again, to theorize and hypothesize, one could assume that Cayce is indeed receiving messages from an outside source (or an inner one, depending on how one looks at it), or that someone who is familiar with Cayce’s work decided to create these texts and fabricate its authenticity to make others believe its veracity. There is also the speculation that Cayce was already privy to these teachings, perhaps due to Jesus’s own hidden parables that were passed down to only a certain few. Maybe within Cayce’s own thoughts and consciousness he somehow knew already or made educated guesses based on Jesus’s alternative meanings to His teachings. (Of course, that still wouldn’t explain other readings that proved Cayce right, especially when it deals with health concerns and other random bits of information.)
Here is another reading about the consciousness itself and the attempt to channel information through one’s host/body, and the dangers it could pose if they are opening up to a presence that is not surrounded by the Christ consciousness:
By this breathing, this may be made to expand . . . As this life-force is expanded, it moves first from the Leydig center through the adrenals, in what may be termed an upward trend, to the pineal and to the centers in control of emotions — or reflexes through the nerve forces of the body. Thus an entity puts itself, through such an activity, into association or conjunction with all it has ever been or may be. For, it loosens the physical consciousness to the universal consciousness. To allow self in a universal state to be controlled, or to be dominated, may be harmful.
But to know, to feel, to comprehend as to who or to what is the directing influence when the self-consciousness has been released and the real ego allowed to rise to expression, is to be in that state of the universal consciousness — which is indicated in this body here, Edgar Cayce . . . To be loosed without a governor, or director, may easily become harmful. But as we would give, from here, let not such a director be that of an entity. Rather so surround self with the universal consciousness of the Christ as to be directed by that influence as may be committed to thee . . . Make haste slowly! Prepare the mind, before ye attempt to loosen it in such measures, manners that it may be taken hold upon by those influences which constantly seek expressions of self rather than of a living, constructive influence of a crucified Savior.
Do learn the promises of the Christ, the Savior; especially those given to man after He arose from the grave. For these are quite different from those given in the hour before His trial and crucifixion.
In addition to the description of the consciousness, we also see references to Jesus’ crucifixion. And, as we’ll see with the entity known as Seth, these two ideologies contradict each other.
Whereas it seems as if Cayce’s insight into the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is real, aligning with the biblical account, the entity Seth gives us an entirely different tale. One that would be extremely hard for Christians to believe.
I also find Cayce’s reading “learn the promises of the Christ… especially those given to man after He arose from the grave” quite enigmatic and will have to look into that further. It sounds rather significant.
Seth (Jane Roberts)
Jane Roberts is another believer in Christ, and, like Cayce, also had some trouble understanding the readings she received from an entity named Seth.
Seth is the internationally acclaimed spiritual teacher who spoke through the author Jane Roberts while she was in trance, and coined the phrase “You Create Your Own Reality.” Seth’s empowering message literally launched the New Age movement.
Seth’s clear presentation of the furthest reaches of human potential, the eternal validity of the soul, and the concept that we create our own reality according to our beliefs, has rippled out to affect the lives of people in every corner of the globe.
Now to continue with the alleged accounts of Jesus’ crucifixion, Seth’s interpretation is one of an entirely different matter. That of a conspiracy of its time, and a HUGE one at that, since the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins, and then his subsequent resurrection, is used as the foundation of the whole Christian religion.
“Christ, the historical Christ, was not crucified…. You will have to give me time here. (Pause.)
[… 1 paragraph …]
Christ did not take part in it. (Pause.) There was a conspiracy in which Judas played a role, an attempt to make a martyr out of Christ. The man chosen was drugged — hence the necessity of helping him carry the cross (see Luke 23) — and he was told that he was the Christ.
He believed that he was. He was one of those deluded, but he also himself believed that he, not the historical Christ, was to fulfill the prophecies.
Mary came because she was full of sorrow for the man who believed he was her son. Out of compassion she was present. The group responsible wanted it to appear that one particular portion of the Jews had crucified Christ, and never dreamed that the whole Jewish people would be “blamed.”
(Pause at 10:00.) This is difficult to explain, and even for me to unravel…. The tomb was empty because this same group carted the body away. Mary Magdalene did see Christ, however, immediately after (see Matthew 28). (Long pause.) Christ was a great psychic. He caused the wounds to appear then upon his own body, and appeared both physically and in out-of-body states to his followers. He tried, however, to explain what had happened, and his position, but those who were not in on the conspiracy would not understand, and misread his statements.
Peter three times denied the Lord (Matthew 26), saying he did not know him, because he recognized that that person was not Christ.”
—SS Chapter 22: Session 591, August 11, 1971
So according to Seth, the whole crucifixion of the Bible was staged, to fulfill the prophecy that was inevitably to be, and while Jesus didn’t seem too keen on this idea, apparently there was no way to avoid this elaborate plan… (Of course, if one were to really get involved with some of the gnostic texts, might find a similar story and a Jesus character that is quite different then the one we’re all used to…)
Now, along with these channeled sources very adamant on the idea that even thought processes have a hold in the world and that our consciousness and beliefs create the world around us, did the fact that the many people who do believe in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ ended up making it a reality? Is this what the mandela effect or alternative dimensions/universes allude to? Are our belief constructs that powerful that we can make reality out of our thoughts?
These aren’t the only sources to have given credit to this idea. The Law of Attraction, tulpas, golems, metaphysics and much more ascribe this to being “the secret” of the universe. Many believe these are the occult/mystic mysteries of consciousness, energy and vibration. Even Cayce admitted to having difficulty determining between someone’s actual actions, and their thoughts. Since the thought was still a powerful force and emanated out into the universe just as an action would do.
Going back to Seth’s readings and his assertion about Jesus Christ:
Christ, who still exists, is a highly evolved entity who has existence in many systems of reality. However, Christ has the same relationship to God that all other individuals do — i.e., he is part of God. At the time of Christ, the Christ entity incarnated as three individuals — John the Baptist,Jesus of Nazareth, and Paul or Saul of Tarsus — and each was to some degree aware of his role in founding a new religion (although Paul/Saul was not aware of his role until after his conversion to Christianity).– The Seth Material
This is interesting to me, because while Cayce relays messages about Jesus Christ incarnating as different individuals throughout time, Seth’s message is that the Christ entity incarnated into these three individuals during the same time frame. Now, there is supposedly a distinction between Jesus, and the Christ, with many claiming that there have been several “Christs” throughout history. Jesus just happened to be the most popular one.
And, even so, with further reading, even Cayce said of the superconsciousness of Jesus:
Q-Explain and illustrate the difference in the faculties of Mind, Subconscious and Superconscious.
A-The superconscious mind being that of the spiritual entity, and in action only when the subconscious is become the conscious mind. The subconscious being the superconscious of the physical entity, partaking then of the soul forces, and of the material plane, as acted upon through and by mental mind. Hence the developing in the physical plane through environment being that as is given to the soul forces in subconscious mind to live upon. Illustrated, as has been given, in the light as came to Saul on the way to Damascus. The superconsciousness of Jesus came to the subconsciousness of Saul, yet he could not retain in conscious that necessary for him to do. The superconscious came to that of him directed to act in the conscious manner, or Saul, as he continued in the subconscious, seeking for the light of that he could not make clear to his consciousness.
There are too many different theories and speculations to say matter-of-factly what all of this means, but to keep searching and seeking answers will (hopefully) lead us closer to the truth.
A Course in Miracles
A Course in Miracles was scribed by Dr. Helen Schucman between 1965 and 1972, with the help of Dr. William Thetford, and allegedly came from Jesus Christ Himself.
A Course in Miracles – often abbreviated ACIM or simply called the Course – is a complete self-study spiritual thought system. As a three-volume curriculum consisting of a Text, Workbook for Students, and Manual for Teachers, it teaches that the way to universal love and peace—or remembering God—is by undoing guilt through forgiving others. The Course thus focuses on the healing of relationships and making them holy. A Course in Miracles also emphasizes that it is but one version of the universal curriculum, of which there are “many thousands.” Consequently, even though the language of the Course is that of traditional Christianity, it expresses a non-sectarian, non-denominational spirituality. A Course in Miracles, therefore, is a universal spiritual teaching, not a religion.– About A Course In Miracles (ACIM)
Now obviously with all of the material presented, and the volume and size of the information provided from these various sources, it would literally take someone years of dedicated studying to go through all of it. And while I have gone through and cherry-picked some bits of information, it is on my to-do list to investigate these sources more fully. As it stands now, with wanting to compare these materials to one another on the topic of mainly Jesus (and consciousness, apparently – since that is what most of them are leading to), there will be more articles of discussion between all of these materials.
Coming along now to Jesus’ own words as dictated by Helen Schucman, we see some of the following verses (out of many):
Does this verse mean that Christ appears/appeared as Buddha, Gandhi, Jesus, Adam, etc., etc.? Is it another way of saying that the Christ consciousness has appeared in these incarnations, or does it mean something else entirely? Is the Christ consciousness the same as the Holy Spirit?
As we saw in earlier readings, the Christ consciousness incarnated to John the Baptist and Saul/Paul, as well as Jesus, obviously, but Jesus himself was also reincarnated throughout time beginning as Adam, and continued this reincarnation process until he became “perfect”. If we can believe these accounts, of course.
It’s been mentioned that the Bible’s sole/soul purpose was to show us the journey of how one could attain Christ consciousness, and that these different reincarnated figures of Jesus supposedly showed us His development.
There is another verse that I think fits in quite well with these speculations:
1 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2 For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
One can assume that Jesus simply meant that he completed his mission during that one lifetime. However, if one were to take these other meanings into account, the alternative picture is that it took him multiple lifetimes to get back to his creator. On top of that, Jesus is claiming that he already had glory with God before the world was even created.
But then, A Course in Miracles is not a huge supporter of reincarnation. It actually supposes that the idea of reincarnation can be harmful if one were to abuse the notion.
M-24.1. In the ultimate sense, reincarnation is impossible. 2 There is no past or future, and the idea of birth into a body has no meaning either once or many times. 3 Reincarnation cannot, then, be true in any real sense. 4 Our only question should be, “Is the concept helpful?” 5 And that depends, of course, on what it is used for. 6 If it is used to strengthen the recognition of the eternal nature of life, it is helpful indeed. 7 Is any other question about it really useful in lighting up the way? 8 Like many other beliefs, it can be bitterly misused. 9 At least, such misuse offers preoccupation and perhaps pride in the past. 10 At worst, it induces inertia in the present. 11 In between, many kinds of folly are possible.
M-24.2. Reincarnation would not, under any circumstances, be the problem to be dealt with now. 2 If it were responsible for some of the difficulties the individual faces now, his task would still be only to escape from them now. 3 If he is laying the groundwork for a future life, he can still work out his salvation only now. 4 To some, there may be comfort in the concept, and if it heartens them its value is self-evident. 5 It is certain, however, that the way to salvation can be found by those who believe in reincarnation and by those who do not. 6 The idea cannot, therefore, be regarded as essential to the curriculum. 7 There is always some risk in seeing the present in terms of the past. 8 There is always some good in any thought which strengthens the idea that life and the body are not the same.
So while not completely against the idea of reincarnation, ACIM also raises an interesting point about time in relation to the possibility of incarnations and life itself…
Then we have more readings about thought projections making reality. Which has been a consistent teaching throughout all of these channeled/alternative material.
T-21.in.1. Projection makes perception. 2 The world you see is what you gave it, nothing more than that. 3 But though it is no more than that, it is not less. 4 Therefore, to you it is important. 5 It is the witness to your state of mind, the outside picture of an inward condition. 6 As a man thinketh, so does he perceive. 7 Therefore, seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world. 8 Perception is a result and not a cause. 9 And that is why order of difficulty in miracles is meaningless. 10 Everything looked upon with vision is healed and holy. 11 Nothing perceived without it means anything. 12 And where there is no meaning, there is chaos.
T-21.in.2. Damnation is your judgment on yourself, and this you will project upon the world. 2 See it as damned, and all you see is what you did to hurt the Son of God. 3 If you behold disaster and catastrophe, you tried to crucify him. 4 If you see holiness and hope, you joined the Will of God to set him free. 5 There is no choice that lies between these two decisions. 6 And you will see the witness to the choice you made, and learn from this to recognize which one you chose. 7 The world you see but shows you how much joy you have allowed yourself to see in you, and to accept as yours. 8 And, if this is its meaning, then the power to give it joy must lie within you.
So what does all of this add up to? Do all these channeled material give us further insight and match with each other? Are they reliable sources to other/hidden “knowledge”?
Or are these simply heretical teachings devised as a means to keep people further from the truth?
Well, I can honestly say that no, not all of the material add up to each other. Some have extremely unorthodox views and mention other-worldly entities (Galactic Federation/Nibiru/Annunaki/etc.) and some focus on more of a mythological/deity type of entities, while some concentrate on consciousness, thought projections and spirituality. There are some significant differences between their accounts of Jesus Christ and His “being” and lifestyle.
Now for the similarities.
ALL of them delve into some sort of good/evil, service to self/service to others, light/dark, love/fear, guilt/forgiveness, etc. dichotomy. And ALL of them mention how important our consciousness and awareness is to create the reality around us. Our perceptions and thought projections are extremely important in helping us create the world we want to live in.
From what I gather, ultimately our goal is to develop our soul/consciousness to a higher and higher state. And although there are numerous differences to all of these material, I think the honest search for Truth should not automatically exclude anything, but instead look at everything with an open mind. While even if all of these alternative readings are from a diabolical force or from a place of goodwill (even if misguided), the practice of using discernment will come in useful. I cannot tell anyone for sure which is true and which is not. I only present what I find and encourage you to research and study as well.
Thank you for reading and I wish you all the best.
Fact checking is extremely important. I want to reiterate not to take everything at face value; no matter what you read, where you read it from, or who you hear it from. And to be clear, do not rely on “fact checking” websites to give you accurate information either. These are just as likely, (if not even more likely…), to feed false information and false debunking accounts to manipulate the reader. Please take everything into consideration before adhering to a certain narrative – and always keep your mind open to other possibilities.
