A lot of people want to dismiss the idea of a hell, maybe because the reality of it is too much and too terrible to consider.
The concept of God sending anyone to hell for all eternity seems to contradict the pure Love that He is.
But I think people are missing the point of why hell was created to begin with.
Originally, at least from what we are taught throughout the Bible and through history, is that hell was created to send the demons, devils, fallen angels, wicked spirits, etc. to. Perhaps it wasn’t meant for humans at all.
However, what happens when people, through their own free will, invite these wicked demons/spirits into their life?

And what happens when people, again of their own free will, continue to reject God and Jesus Christ as their Savior?
Let’s break this down.
God/Jesus Christ is Love. This is what I’ve learned and know to be true due to my own experiences and my seeking for the Truth. People can try and deny it or contest it, but that’s up to their own contemplation to work out. They can argue with the “free will” vs. “predestination” dichotomy if they want, and they can banter that God is cruel and unloving/unmerciful in the Old Testament, therefore they don’t believe in Him, and what have you, but again, that is up to them to seek out and pray to understand the Truth.
But the bottom line is, Jesus Christ IS Love.
So what happens when one rejects Him? Do they shut out “love”?
Well, I can’t speak for each person individually – I can’t know how they truly feel and if they honestly, truly feel love if they reject Jesus Christ. Maybe they can. Maybe this means that deep down they didn’t reject Him completely.
But imagine if someone did reject Jesus Christ completely. They turn to drugs, alcohol, porn, darkness, spell-casting, summoning, hate, anger, violence…
People can laugh at the belief in witchcraft and satanism – but the truth is, this is happening extensively around us. Even if people think they are channeling benevolent entities, or they are working light magic, or they are casting/chanting for hope and love, they are treading on dangerous waters and opening themselves up to sinister beings. And those who are satanists are deliberately trying to encounter these beings.
Of course, some don’t believe in these spirits either. And that is going to be their downfall. They are denying the spiritual warfare all around us, and therefore cannot prepare themselves to fight off these demons. And what do these demons (that a lot of people don’t believe exist) want more than anything?
They want to twist and corrupt you, snuff out any light and love that you have within you, and drag you to hell with them.
People Doomed to Hell
Below are some testimonies of people who have seen their loved ones or an acquaintance go through an unexplainable and awful turmoil while on their deathbed. The following accounts were gathered from the 1700’s to the 1900’s (all and full accounts can be found at Dying Testimonies Of Saved And Unsaved):
Infidel:
n. An unbeliever with respect to a particular religion, especially Christianity or Islam.
n. One who has no religious beliefs.
n. One who doubts or rejects a particular doctrine, system, or principle.
“When Voltaire felt the stroke that he realized must terminate in death, he was overpowered with remorse. He at once sent for the priest, and wanted to be”reconciled with the church.” His infidel flatterers hastened to his chamber to prevent his recantation; but it was only to witness his ignominy and their own. He cursed them to their faces; and, as his distress was increased by their presence,he repeatedly and loudly exclaimed:

“Mr. Barraclough gives the following account of what he witnessed. I know the day of grace is past, gone — gone, never more to return!’ I entreated him not to be too hasty, and to pray. On Thursday I found him groaning under the weight of the displeasure of God. His eyes roiled to and fro; he lifted up his hands, and with vehemence cried out, ‘Oh,the burning flame, the hell, the pain I feel! I have done, done the deed, the horrible,damnable deed!’ I prayed with him, and while I was praying he said with inexpressible rage, ‘I will not have salvation at the hand of God! No, no! I will not ask it of Him.'”

“Some years ago a neighboring family, consisting of father, mother, and five or sixchildren that God had entrusted to their care, were all seemingly without a thoughtof eternity — all for the world and the things of the world. But soon the darkshadows began to gather. The father was taken sick. He grew worse and worseand soon it was said that he was seriously ill. In a few short days the messagecame to me saying, “Come quick, Mr. S. is dying.” I went immediately to hisbedside, and found him talking and trying to draw back from some apparition thathe evidently saw, saying, “Take them away! Take them away!” It seemed to be thedemons or the wicked spirits tormenting him while yet alive.”

I drove His Spirit from my heart when He would have filled it with His love; and now I am left to my own evil nature — given over to the devil for my eternal destruction. My agony is inexpressible! How will I endure the endless ages of eternity? O, that dreadful, unlimited, unfathomable eternity.”
When asked by Mr. Rice how she got into that despairing mood, she replied, “It was that fatal Friday evening last winter when I deliberately stayed away from the meeting to attend the dance. I felt so sad, for my heart was tender — I could scarcely keep from weeping. I felt provoked to think that my last dance, as I felt it to be for some cause, should be spoiled. I endured it until I became angry, then with all my might I drove the influence of the Spirit away from me, and it was then that I had the feeling that Be had left me forever. I knew that I had done something terrible, but it was done. From that time I have had no desire to be a Christian, but have been sinking down into deeper darkness and more bitter despair.”
– 035 — “THE FIENDS, THEY COME; OH! SAVE ME! THEY DRAG ME DOWN! LOST, LOST, LOST!”
“The doctor said, “Why do you groan, your disease is not painful?”
“O, doctor,” said he, “it is not the body but the soul that troubles me.” On the evening of his death, Mr. N -came at ten o’clock. A friend of his was there also. As he entered the room he felt that it was filled with an awful presence as if he were near the region of the damned.
The dying man cried out, “O God, deliver me from that awful pit!” It was not a penitential prayer, but the wail of a lost soul. About fifteen minutes before his death, which was at twelve, he exclaimed, “I am in the flames — pull me out, pull me out!” He kept repeating this until the breath left his body. As the bodily strength failed his words became more faint.
At last Mr. N___ put his ear down close to catch his departing whispers, and the last words he could hear were, “Pull me out, pull me out!” “It was an awful scene,” said he. “It made an impression on me that I can never forget. I never want to witness such a scene again.” I was talking with my friend years after, and he said those words, “I am in the flames — pull me out, pull me out!” were still ringing in his ears.“

“The lady continued, ‘Sir, I was Mr. Hume’s housekeeper for many years, I was with him in his last moments; and the mourning I now wear is a present from his relatives for my attention to him on his death bed; and happy would I have been if I could have borne my testimony to the mistaken opinion that has gone abroad of his peaceful and composed end.
I have, sir, never till this hour opened my mouth on this subject, but I think it a pity the world should be kept in the dark on so interesting a topic. It is true, sir, that when Mr. Hume’s friends were with him he was cheerful and seemed quite unconcerned about his approaching fate; nay, frequently spoke of it to them in a jocular and playful way; but when he was alone, the scene was very different; he was anything but composed, his mental agitation was so great at times as to occasion his whole bed to shake. And he would not allow the candles to be put out during the night, nor would he be left alone for a minute, as I had always to ring the bell for one of the servants to be in the room before he would allow me to leave it.
He struggled hard to appear composed, even before me. But to one who attended his bedside for so many days and nights and witnessed his disturbed sleeps and still more disturbed wakings — who frequently heard his involuntary breathings of remorse and frightful startings, it was no difficult matter to determine that all was not right within. This continued and increased until he became insensible.
I hope to God I shall never witness a similar scene.”

Of course, it’s not all doom and gloom. There were plenty of loving, sweet, compassionate testimonies as well. Those who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. There are many sweet tales of children begging their own parents to turn to God and Jesus.
Unfortunately, there are also tales of parents encouraging their child to reject Jesus until they’ve “lived” more of their lives; not realizing that they are sending their child to darkness and despair. And while there are also accounts of parents praying for their child to receive Jesus, the unfortunate fact is that sometimes it’s too late, and the person’s heart has grown too hard and cold – even if they wanted to accept God and Jesus Christ into their life.
Now while it would be difficult to verify every single one of these accounts, the concept of automatically dismissing them due to this paradigm would be highly detrimental, since even doctors usually need to hear a person’s testimony/account of what ails them (whether it be physical or mental). I always urge my readers to keep an open mind and not automatically believe everything, but don’t automatically dismiss anything either. Study and research is essential when searching for the truth.
Near Death Experiences
That brings me to this phenomena. Near death experiences have become rather well-known in recent times, with a lot of people no longer afraid to speak up and proclaim what they experienced.
While the scientific and medical community may still have their reservations about what exactly is going on during nde’s, the end-result is pretty amazing in the transformation of the person experiencing it. Turning in some cases a sworn atheist or satanist, into a devoted believer of Jesus Christ.
Many people have reported similar accounts – even throughout different countries and cultures, without any knowledge of each other. Some experience a loving, heavenly event, while others tell of literally being dragged down to hell.
Is this a warning to the rest of us who are still alive? Is God giving people a chance to come back to life to let the rest of us know what’s in store for us depending on which path we choose?
“My entire life had been one huge test and I was now being graded on literally everything! Every word, deed, and even thought!
Interestingly enough, my judge was not some immense being on a great white throne. Something had emerged from within myself which I believe was my soul, and “It” sat in judgment of me. I had never recalled ever being in touch with this part of myself before. My soul showed absolutely no partiality towards me, even though “It” had resided within me my entire life. My own soul sat in Judgment of my entire life. It assumed a totally objective and impartial role. Fun and pleasure, which were once everything to me, were not in my mind anymore. At this point, all that mattered to me was to find pure acts of love to offer up to God so that He would accept them. I feverishly searched, but to my dismay I could not find any!”

Now is hell a vibrational state? All in our minds/imagination, as some scientists/researchers propose? Do we send ourselves there if we are not spiritually tuned in to love enough? If our soul has suffered too much hate, anger, violence, wrath, etc. – then do we send ourselves to our own demise? Some believe that hell is an actual physical place (or at least, it will feel like that when we’re being tormented by walls of fire and demonic torturings…), while others believe that it is a state of mind and that we’re literally creating our own hellish realm by the way that we lived on earth.
Is the secret to heaven and hell within our very own consciousness?
Final Calling
Whatever the case is, are you willing to shut out the one True Creator all for a few years (maybe) of sinful living on this planet? Are you willing to suffer for all eternity because you had your chance to turn to love, to Jesus, the divine, but you were too prideful and disbelieving to even think it possible? Is your inclination to doubt and “logical reasoning” going to be worth it to stand against the mysteries of the universe, in which we know little about, and enables you to darken your heart and shut the saving grace out?
Are you willing to take that chance? When it becomes too late, and you’re on your deathbed, regretting that you let God/Jesus Christ the Savior pass you by… Seeing hell loom around you and knowing that He was calling out to you, and you said, “Not today.” and refused Him? The one person who can save you and compel you away from the fiery torment?
It’s true that the end is near. But perhaps not the “end” that we think. Not the earthly, apocalyptic end of the world, but an end to your life. Because no one knows when it’s going to happen. You can die, right this second, of a heart attack/a brain aneurysm/a blood clot, and your chance to accept Jesus Christ will be gone. Just like that.
Don’t take that chance. Accept Him NOW while you still can.
