What is the Transubstantiation of the Eucharist?

Is it a form of cannibalism?

There’s been a lot of debate surrounding the transubstantiation of the eucharist, and if Catholics really believe that they’re eating the flesh of Jesus Christ, and literally drinking his blood.

The whole point (at least in some Catholic circles) of transubstantiation is to magically alter the regular piece of bread into Jesus Christ’s flesh, and the drink into His blood. To partake in and consume in order to have the life and spirit of Jesus Christ within us.

Hm… it sounds an awful lot like cannibalism to me. But to be fair, let’s take an in depth look into what actual Catholics and scholars believe is the meaning of this verse:

53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.
54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.
56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”
John 6:53-58

“So, what did Jesus mean when he spoke about eating his flesh and drinking his blood? He certainly wasn’t talking about cannibalism!

He was talking about true religion. What Jesus meant is that it’s got to be personal. Jesus was saying that you don’t receive eternal life by understand concepts or by believing the right things, but instead by a personal and intimate relationship with him. Jesus must be to us more important than our very food and drink, and closer to us than the nourishment that courses through our body that helps us to live.”
What Does It Mean to Eat Christ’s Flesh and To Drink His Blood?

So according to the site above, they believe that the eucharist is meant to be taken symbolically, and ‘of course it’s not literal!’

Another insight into the belief that the transubstantiation is symbolic can be found here, as well as many other researched sites.

But further study and insight into this mysterious tradition does indeed show that many Catholics and practitioners of this ritual truly do believe that they are literally eating the body of Christ and drinking His blood.

And on average, according to several consensus studies, about 1 in 3 Catholics fully believe in the eucharist doctrine that the host transforms into the actual body/flesh and blood of Jesus Christ, while the other 2/3 believe that it is a symbolic, spiritual essence.

Results from the Pew Research Center: Understanding US Catholics’ belief in the Eucharist

There are even scientific studies declaring some rather unusual characteristics of these consecrated hosts that have undergone a transubstantiation process:

The video above shows several scientists/doctors/researchers who have studied the host’s transformation, and even hypothesizes the tools that would be necessary to replicate such a miracle:

– Odoardo Linoli
– Fredrick Zugibe
– Franco Serafini
– Jason DeGregorio
– Eduardo Sanchez Lazo

And as you can see, the full belief and trust in this miracle is alive and well by not only the creator of the video, but also many of the viewers who have left their own comments. And again, I am not bashing anyone for their beliefs. This is an attempt for me to truly understand these miracles and what may be happening. While I am a believer of Christ, I am also somewhat of a skeptic, especially when it comes to a process that involves the literal consumption of someone’s flesh and blood.

Some of the interesting similarities between the wafers discussed in the video are:

– They were revealed to be AB blood type
– The material derived seemed to have come from the left ventricle of the heart – while it was still alive
– The heart suffered massive trauma

(I don’t know about you… but this literally makes my own heart hurt and I can’t even imagine the circumstances that were involved in order to duplicate this kind of organic tissue result…)

While it may seem that these miracles are indeed mysterious and of a divine nature (or a terribly horrific one), I have to bring up a theory that some of the “host” wafers are not merely flour and water, like most people believe. I won’t get into the gritty details, but I will mention the possibilities that can arise between a religion that may be inclined to convince the public that miracles exist, with the combination of science and the capabilities of the technological age that are quite advanced at creating fabulous “signs and wonders” that the layman may not have even dreamed possible.

(And the insane amount of effort and length that these deceivers would go to, to convince the public in order to maintain their status as the religious world leader…)

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Matthew 24:24

This is a very cautious warning for us believers, to be very discerning when it comes to anything deemed “miraculous”. I have to remind everyone that a favorite practice of satan (who is called a liar, the father of lies, and the deceiver – and who also disguises himself as an angel of light) is to invert everything good and holy into one of corruption and wickedness.

What does the Bible say about demonic/satanic miracles?

What better way to do this than to lead the followers astray by taking Jesus Christ’s spiritual/metaphorical words, and twisting them into the belief that one must literally consume His flesh and drink His blood? Which by today’s measure, could be deemed as a cannibalistic, ritualistic custom. After all, if we read outside of the Bible and take a peek into the Book of Enoch, it states that one of the reasons why the great flood happened at all is because the nephilim (offspring of the fallen angels) gave in to the consumption of human flesh and all sorts of wicked tendencies.

(referring to the giants/nephilim) 3. Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them,
4. the giants turned against them and devoured mankind.
5. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood.
6. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.
Book of Enoch 7:3-6

On August 18, 1996, a woman parishioner allegedly found a consecrated host on a candle holder and brought it to Fr. Alejandro Pezet. After a few days of leaving the host in the tabernacle to dissolve, found that it had been transformed into a bloody tissue that was much larger than the original host. It was then photographed and sent for scientific study by none other than our current Pope Francis (Jorge Bergoglio).

The Eucharistic Miracle Overseen by Archbishop Bergoglio (Now Pope Francis)

Just as an added bonus, here are some questionable quotes from Pope Francis himself:

Pope John Paul II was a saint, I am the devil.”
“having a personal relationship with Jesus is dangerous and very harmful.”

– Pope Francis Says: “I Am The Devil”

“Joking” or not, these are pretty serious statements coming from the head of the Roman Catholic Church…

Here’s another extremely controversial quote, from Pope Francis:

“‘Yes, I carry the cross to show that I am a Christian.’ ” And “It’s fine,” but “not just as a badge, as if it were a team, the badge of a team’; but [rather], said Francis, “as the memory of the man who made himself sin, who made himself the devil, the serpent, for us; he debased himself up to the point of totally annihilating himself.”

Pope Francis: Christ “Made Himself the Devil”

There are also some extremely disturbing and, quite frankly, terrifying, implications of the Vatican installing satan as the new head of the church and the shady practices they engage in… so take that for what it’s worth…

Satanic Black Masses at the Vatican

Follow that up with this additional perspective from Pope Francis, and it starts to paint an incredibly sordid and depraved picture…

Pope Francis compares abuse by priests to ‘satanic mass’

I have to admit, one of the reasons why it’s so hard for me to accept the Catholic teachings that the bread and wine literally become Jesus Christ in the flesh and blood, is because it sets a dangerous precedent on consuming the body and blood of the innocent, to maintain a “saving grace” to wipe away one’s own sins. While Jesus Christ Himself should be the ONLY one to turn to, there are certain religious sects that take His word to heart, even further, by following the same verse of John 6:53, but with a slightly different meaning that changes everything:

53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you
John 6:53

We see that “Son of Man” is capitalized, which presumes that it is a title given to Jesus Christ. However, if one were to take this verse literally and dissect its meaning, well, most of us would not consider Jesus Christ to be the “Son of Man”. Don’t we all consider Him the Son of God? So who is the Son of Man? Why would Jesus Christ be referring to Himself in this way? After all, if the biblical story of Jesus’s birth is any indication, He was not even born from a man but from a virgin woman and the holy spirit in the “Immaculate conception.” Of course, “man” is usually the term used to include all of humanity (mankind), so this could easily be explained away. And since Jesus is not one to boast about His heritage coming from God, He states also that He came from man.

But, as many confused or simply immoral groups will pursue, one can misconstrue any verse and twist its meaning to suit their own agenda. So now this “Son of Man” title can literally refer to ANYONE. “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man (any human being) and drink His (in some translations, “His” is not capitalized) blood, you have no life in you.”

And while people may laugh and scoff at the idea, the history of vampirism is a very real ideology, and there are some that truly believe that in order to have a long and healthy life, one must consume another being’s flesh and drink their blood.

History of Vampires

Even if ‘vampires’ in the traditional sense don’t really exist, there are still many people that believe that consuming other human being’s flesh/blood will give them a longer lifespan and/or give them mystical powers. There are also pagans/witches/warlocks… even misguided souls that have reverted to using ‘blood magic’ to help them with their woes or any other number of transgressions or desires:

Practicing Witchcraft: What You Should Know About Blood Magic

While the author of the above article tries to present this practice in a benign way, even setting “rules” as to how one should use blood in their magic, they cannot speak for everyone that they will adhere to this. If we know anything about the human nature and the addictive quality that power (even an allusion of power) gives to anyone, once they get a taste for it, the measures taken goes to extremes and therefore steps outside of the boundaries that was once set upon them.

Although imho, this occultic practice should not even be attempted since it is quite possibly opening doors that should never be opened. It invites spirits/demons in and may be one of the reasons why people claim to be cursed/haunted/possessed, etc.

In closing, while I do agree that the wordings of the verses lean heavily into a physical consumption of the body and blood of Christ, I am also of the belief that translations and interpretations get confused, especially when trying to ascribe meaning and words to an ancient language. (And that’s if the translations are not skewed on purpose…)

After doing all of this research and myself being a believer of Christ, I have come to this understanding:

The ingestion of the bread/wafer that indicates Jesus’s flesh is a symbolic gesture for that person saying, “I come to you, Jesus Christ.” while the drinking of the “wine” is akin to saying, “I believe in you, Jesus Christ.” Not that Jesus was literally referring to Himself as a physical manifestation that people must eat and drink.

35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
John 6:35

It is my belief that Jesus was indeed speaking in metaphorical terms and talking from a spiritual standpoint. He knew that the hard-hearted, the unbelievers, the stubborn materialistic inclinations of some people would not understand His sayings no matter how He worded it. And that some people may be misled by this teaching. So He spoke with this type of parable to the people that could glean meaning and understanding that Jesus Christ is asking His followers to pursue a spiritual path – instead of the physical.

Of course, I have to admit, for Jesus to describe people’s manner of following Him in this way, does leave it open to different perceptions/interpretations. After all, if one were to read His verses in the literal sense, there is no other way to differentiate His meaning other than an actual consuming of His flesh and drinking of His blood. And it’s fascinating that even other Catholics cannot come to a resounding definitive answer as to the purpose of the eucharist/transubstantiation.

But perhaps to clarify, and put this whole situation to rest, Jesus also says this to his disciples after his very controversial, parabolic teaching:

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
John 6:63

Again, why Jesus Christ decided to tell His allegory in such a perplexing way, is perhaps the bigger mystery.

Was He testing His followers and other believers/non-believers alike? To see who would still follow Him and understand this spiritual/conscious teachings?

(And on the flip-side, to see who would take His words literal and continue seeking the physical fulfillment of a worldly life with material sustenance – instead of The Word and Life of the Spirit…)

Bottom line, God knows the motives of our heart. If we come to Him with a sincere and genuine faith and pure intentions, God knows this; and whether we believe in the literal transubstantiation of the eucharist or not, it should not be the key determinant in what kind of person you are or what kind of life you’re living.

After all, one can participate in the mass, yet not be a believer at all…

Genesis 11: The Tower of Babel

Earnest Examination

This series is presented as an honest, sincere look into the study of the Bible with my own personal theories, opinions, comments and that of others’ insights and research into what the verses could mean. I cannot claim one way or another that everything that I am stating is fact and the true meaning of what is meant in these verses.

To lay it out in a way that I can manage, I have highlighted the texts of verses that I either don’t understand or have a comment or question about in yellow. And the comments I’ve left beneath it will be of a smaller font and using brown text.

I would love it if you’d join me in this journey and if you have any insights and/or knowledge of these chapters/verses etc., please feel free to share with me and the other readers. Any chance to get a clearer understanding of the Bible and Jesus Christ would be welcomed with open arms.

I have decided to ultimately use the NKJV version instead of the NIV (the translations from Genesis 1-10 that I used were all from NIV. Posts Genesis 11 and beyond will use NKJV).

Version used is from biblestudytools.com (NKJV) Genesis 11

1 Now the whole earth had one language and one speech.
2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there.

From these couple of verses, it makes it seem like the whole world is gathered in this one place. Did all of Noah’s descendants stay together and not branch out? Were there perhaps descendants that decided to travel outwards away from their extended family? Or did they truly all stick together this whole time?

I also want to bring up the strong parallels to the biblical story of the flood and the Tower of Babel account, to that of the Sumerian history. While doing research into the biblical flood and the history of mankind, including the Tower of Babel, the mention of the Sumerians came up several times. There can honestly be no doubt that there is something to this “myth” when it ties so closely to the Christianity beliefs. Some scholars believe that Christianity is actually a mesh of different religions, myths, pagan practices, etc. all mixed into one to appease the majority of people. Possibly as a result of the Roman Catholics/Constantine’s directive. Theoretically, perhaps because Jesus Christ was such a huge influence to people, the Romans felt as if they were in a losing battle to maintain their own tradition, thus adopted Christianity but still upheld their own rites and rituals.

I bring this up because I feel as if to really get a good understanding of the Bible, it’s necessary to address other sources that may lend credence and more information than what we are told. There are several “books” that have not been canonized, so may have been intentionally left out of the Bible; and in order to find out why, it’s prudent to study them as well.
3 Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar.
4 And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”
And here we see “man’s” efforts to be like God and claim a place for themselves in the Heavens. If you’ve read my post on the theory of a dome/firmament, the efforts to go into the heavens, I believe, is now another way to say “into outer space” – as NASA and their partners are trying to conduct.

It is interesting to me that while the ancient civilizations had a direct line with God, there are still those who would defy Him. Why? Apparently they already know of His power and magnitude, yet there is still that arrogance and hubris to think that they can be like Him. (Could it be because the ancestors really did fall from Heaven (fallen angels) and now they want to reclaim their place in the sky? And these descendants (nephilim?, and/or prideful human beings) are hell heaven-bent on this mission to restore what they believe is their birth-right?)
5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.
But then we see this verse, which states “sons of men”… so does this mean that these people were 100% of human origin? Or could they have been coerced by a nephilim (namely, Nimrod/Gilgamesh) into building this tower to reach the heavens? And as many scholars have theorized, the tower may been a ziggurat that was indeed built in Shinar/Babylon. – Understanding Genesis 11: The Tower of Babel…and yet One More Genealogy
6 And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.
How accurate is this verse? Is it implying that human beings are capable of infiltrating to the heavens? And everything else their imagination can create? Or is this God merely stating it as a metaphor to meaning that human beings will construct items of various purposes that will have disastrous effects? If God is all-powerful and the creator of all, then the supposed point that humans can accomplish anything they set their mind to doesn’t make sense. If, however, it is more of a warning as to the state of the human condition, such as this deduction is proposing:

“A powerfully united humanity, inclined to do evil, could accomplish great wickedness. No matter how perverse, outrageous, or ridiculous something might seem, mankind can and will attempt it, given the opportunity. The following verse reveals that God has no plans to give humanity that kind of opening.”What does Genesis 11:6 mean?

then we can see where the danger lies to humanity itself. It is no secret that there are indeed some people who do seem to have wickedness in their heart all the time, and these are the very people that try and dictate control over the population. We can see it in many organizations, industries, businesses, etc. In today’s world, we can see that the vaccines are a heavily pushed, propagandized item onto the whole world. Is this a systematic way of trying to dominate and keep the population under control and at subservience? This is just a hypothetical suggestion, but seeing everything going on in the world, thoughts like these should be on everyone’s mind, instead of believing that multi-billionaire dollar companies have our best interest at heart.

With that being said, I have a hard time believing that “The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”Genesis 6:5

Perhaps during that time it was more true than I’d like to think it is. And currently, I’m sure this verse does apply to some parts of the population. However, while I cannot attest to anybody else’s feelings or what goes on in their heart or thoughts, I can speak for myself. I can speak knowing that God knows what’s inside my heart, and I have no fear of Him knowing. While I am not perfect, and not trying to speak out of haughtiness or boasting, I would like to offer up that the intentions of my heart are NOT only evil continually. While it may indeed be true for some, I know that it cannot be all of us, since my heart is looking to Love and Forgiveness, God and Jesus Christ. And I have faith that other people are on the same path.

7 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”
Again, and throughout various verses of scripture, we can see that God addresses others, whether they are his assembly of angels or other heavenly hosts. And “Us”, at least in this translation of the Bible, is capitalized. Which means that they are most likely of divine origin.

Here we see God’s plan to deter humanity’s mission at that time to reach the Heavens. By way of confusing their language. It’s very interesting that there was a specific plan in place to deliberately separate/segregate people in order to put their wicked plan to a halt. It begs the question, if God was able to do that to all the peoples, then what has been done since then to uproot more wicked plans that immoral groups have concocted? Are there more hidden things going on behind the scenes that have helped the lighter side of humanity, but yet we just don’t see it or understand it?
8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.
While this certainly seemed to have benefited Heaven and its hosts, it generated animosity and hostility to the people of Earth towards one another. Since no one could understand a different nation and each one built upon their own customs and ‘cult’ure, it most certainly upset the whole humanity dynamic. While they may have worked together at one point (even if the ultimate goal was of a selfish motive), now each nation was driven against each other. Was this God’s plan all along?
9 Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.
It would be interesting to know how God did this. Was it from natural disasters, perhaps? Was the land on Earth one huge continent, and due to the Lord separating them, he merely divided up the land into separate islands/continents? I see a lot of conjecture from others that after the Lord confounded their language, the people naturally gathered together depending on like-language and set off as a group on their own. But this verse states that “the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth”. Not that the people took it upon themselves to do as a natural response to finding others with the same language. I find it fascinating that I cannot find many theories or studies into exactly how God accomplishes this. I see a lot of “whys”, but not many “hows”, and if there are, then it’s mostly assumptions that people scattered on their own based on their language. Which doesn’t seem to be the case when taking the verse in context.
I also wonder if the United Nations is attempting to re-unify these segregated peoples into a “New World Order” in yet again another direct opposition to God’s will – and perhaps attempt more rebellious acts to uphold their tradition… This is just speculation, of course, but further research into these organizations and their cohorts does not look to be a promising endeavor for the rest of humanity, and instead more of a dominion over the world by tptsb (who are probably the same kind of beings trying to reach the Heavens to begin with).

10 This is the genealogy of Shem: Shem was one hundred years old, and begot Arphaxad two years after the flood.
From here on, I cannot give much of a commentary, since many of these names I have not yet studied in depth. With further research and information gathering, I will be able to better flesh out these texts, but in the meantime I can only use it as a basis for a general genealogy line.
11 After he begot Arphaxad, Shem lived five hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
12 Arphaxad lived thirty-five years, and begot Salah.
13 After he begot Salah, Arphaxad lived four hundred and three years, and begot sons and daughters.
14 Salah lived thirty years, and begot Eber.
15 After he begot Eber, Salah lived four hundred and three years, and begot sons and daughters.
16 Eber lived thirty-four years, and begot Peleg.
17 After he begot Peleg, Eber lived four hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.
18 Peleg lived thirty years, and begot Reu.
19 After he begot Reu, Peleg lived two hundred and nine years, and begot sons and daughters.
20 Reu lived thirty-two years, and begot Serug.
21 After he begot Serug, Reu lived two hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.
22 Serug lived thirty years, and begot Nahor.
23 After he begot Nahor, Serug lived two hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
24 Nahor lived twenty-nine years, and begot Terah.
25 After he begot Terah, Nahor lived one hundred and nineteen years, and begot sons and daughters.
26 Now Terah lived seventy years, and begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
27 This is the genealogy of Terah: Terah begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran begot Lot.
28 And Haran died before his father Terah in his native land, in Ur of the Chaldeans.
29 Then Abram and Nahor took wives: the name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran the father of Milcah and the father of Iscah.
30 But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
31 And Terah took his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram’s wife, and they went out with them from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan; and they came to Haran and dwelt there.
The next chapter deals with this account more in detail, so I will wait before I comment anything further on this particular story.
32 So the days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and Terah died in Haran.

Once I research more and get a better feel of the biblical names and the genealogy of those listed in this chapter, I will have to come back to edit and fill in the spaces. As it is now, there was very limited information I could offer as to the lineage of Shem since I am unfamiliar with most of their names. With further bible study it will help to fill in those missing pieces.

As usual, I want to reiterate that some of my thoughts and theories may be way off base, and I also research some other things on the side as well to try and get a broader understanding of what I’m reading, so please bear with me, or, even better, if you have insights that bring more light to these verses, please let me know.

I enjoy bouncing off theories and theology off of each other and love to hear other people’s perspectives on things. Thank you for reading and I look forward to hearing from you!

Did You Know? | Monsters May Just Be Hiding Under Your Bed

And everywhere else.

Throughout history and most of the different cultures, tales of monsters, beasts, demons, spirits, etc. have been depicted mingling with humans since the beginning of time.

From the Australian aboriginals’ legend of the Rainbow Serpent, and the serpent tempting Eve in the Garden of Eden (both of a reptilian nature… interesting), to fantastic accounts of urban legend-like creatures: bigfoot, Baba Yaga, kappa, banshee, Krampus, fallen angels, etc.

And myths and legends of the “boogeyman” have been around for thousands of years. Could there be any truth to these claims? Or were they simply stories meant to keep children in line?

Whatever the true scenario behind these mysteries, the fact that our consciousness has not yet fully tapped into our inherent potential, leaves substantial room for growth and development into our own senses and awareness. (That’s, however, if we’re ready to see the unseen…)

Here is a look at 6 fascinating cases of how people have encountered supernatural beings:

1. Sleep Paralysis

The Nightmare - by Henry Fuseli in 1781

Many people experience what is known as “sleep paralysis” – waking up to immobility and the sensation of pressure on their chest; complete with horrifying images of different entities, including but not limited to: demons, hags, ghosts, aliens, disfigured creatures, etc.

But what exactly is sleep paralysis?

Some scientific data attributes this phenomena to the REM cycle that helps prevent one from acting out their dreams in their sleep.

Of course, that’s just one of the definitions. Apparently, even in the scientific community, there is disagreement on whether sleep paralysis is a naturally occurring state, or a “sleep disorder”.

“All of these symptoms describe sleep paralysis, a sleep disorder (or symptom of a sleep disorder) that temporarily alters a person’s mobility, perception, thinking, and emotional state during the transition between sleeping and waking.”Why Sleep Paralysis Happens (and How to Prevent It)

Yet, the same author also acknowledges that everyone experiences the paralysis part during sleep: “You’re typically not aware of it, but the “paralysis” part of sleep paralysis actually happens every night when you sleep during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep.

Another study proposes stress and disturbed sleep could be the culprit: “It could be that stress causes sleep paralysis, but equally that sleep paralysis leads to stress,” Gregory said. “We couldn’t really tease apart cause and effect.” Future long-term studies will help clarify what comes first: sleep problems or anxiety, she added.”Sleep Paralysis Is Linked to Stress (and Supernatural Beliefs) while admitting that stress could actually be the result of the sleep paralysis experiences, instead of the other way around.

And yet others state it is a completely naturally occurring phenomena that can happen to anyone and everyone depending on the sleeper’s conditions and conscious ability.

If you wake up during this experience, most people relate a terrifying account of being suffocated, can’t move, can’t speak, and a not-so benevolent presence in the room. This has been explained away as a hallucination or hypnagogic/hypnopompic imagery that accompanies these senses due to our states of vulnerability and reasoning through these emotions.

However, could it be that the state between wakefulness and sleep actually allows us to get a glimpse into this other, hidden astral plane? Our minds at that point are not completely tuned into the physical aspect of our surroundings yet, so this may open the door for us to perceive other things that we normally wouldn’t during our full, waking hours.

2. Out of Body Experiences / Astral Projection

Speaking of the astral plane, I bring it up because the knowledge of this existence is becoming more widespread; however, when I was younger, the topic was still taboo and not as well-known as it is today. Now, it’s almost mainstream and common knowledge that this is a real phenomena.

Scientists, doctors and researchers are also interested in studying this topic – whether it’s a neurological and/or conscious-related phenomena or not (which begs the question “What is consciousness?”):

Astral Projection Through the Eyes of Scientists
Sylvan Muldoon’s Astral Projection Research

And while you can’t trust certain organizations (including the science community – no offense to anyone in this field)… even the CIA has admitted to participating in astral projection/remote viewing studies:

What’s Astral Projection & is it Real? [CIA Experiments Say YES]

Again, I want to reiterate… you can’t trust certain organizations… so please take everything from this industry with a grain of salt.

With that being said, due to my own out of body experiences, and the research I’ve conducted on this topic, I cannot simply dismiss this possibility through “scientific reasoning”. After all, there are just some things that science has not yet been able to measure and/or study. Does it mean it doesn’t exist?

Of course not. Just that science doesn’t have the technology yet to address these issues. (And perhaps we give science too much credit and the point of the metaphysics is it was never meant to be measured to begin with. Which ties back into the spiritual/faith ideology.)

Robert Monroe (who worked with the CIA) is widely considered the pioneer into the study of astral projection, and even coined the term “loosh”, referring to energy of the beings living on the planet and the entities that supposedly feed off of this energy. It is not a positive account.

Trawling the Farm for Human Energy

Firsthand Account:

For me, personally, I have had two rather disturbing experiences with a different entity; out of about 30 (that I can recall). One of them I could actually bypass as perhaps a hypnopompic hallucination. I was experiencing vibrations to attempt an obe, but then I could hear a man’s voice, chanting – along with sinister-sounding children giggling in the background. It was truly something straight out of a horror movie. I shook myself out of this vibrational state and completely woke up.

The other experience, I was actually not even attempting an obe. I woke up already feeling the vibrations and along with that, could sense that something was in the room with me. Keep in mind, I do not always feel another presence. As a matter of fact, most of the time I do not. However, this was a one-of-a-kind experience. As I felt that there was a different entity with me, I tried to shake the feeling off and go back to sleep. Trying to attribute it to just my imagination. But before I knew it, I felt my ankle (my astral ankle) being grabbed by this entity, and trying to drag me out of my body. I tried to cling on to my physical body because I didn’t want to leave and I had no idea what this force was.

It was absolutely terrifying and this, along with the chanting/giggling experience above, made me resolve to stop these out of body explorations altogether. (I had not yet at this point studied enough to train myself under these conditions and raise my vibrations higher – and pray – I know some people will scoff at this idea, but there is a reason that Jesus Christ is so hated by certain immoral establishments…)

A few years after this experience, I came across a testimony from a man named John Ramirez, self-described as an ex-satanist. His claim is that he used to be a high priest, and after trying to renounce the satanic realm, he relays a harrowing account:

@10:20 ” – just feel someone’s hands just grab me by my throat and try to pick me up off the bed and try to rip my body – rip my soul out of my body. Sometimes they grab me by my feet and the bed would shake – “

I cannot testify as to this gentleman’s veracity, but the account he told hits home with me, since it is eerily similar to what I encountered during my obe/vibrational state. I also recall Mr. Ramirez saying that he also engaged in pulling people out of their astral body as a way of terrifying them, but I cannot find this account at the moment. If I find it, I will make sure to add it here. He does, however, say this in the same video: “At the age of 13 I was astral projecting, my body, I would leave my body home and go into regions, go into spirit realms, and [spread curses]” – @19:10

3. Children / Animals Sense

Maybe because their perceptions aren’t yet altered by the indoctrination of society around them, really small children seem to have an innate ability to see entities and strange beings that aren’t generally accepted by the normal population.

Why do so many kids ‘see ghosts’? We asked some psychologists.

Some fascinating (although purely anecdotal), fun and creepy accounts of children seeing ghosts:

17 Times Kids Saw Ghosts, And Totally Scared The Living Daylights Out Of Their Parents

What’s really interesting about children claiming to see these presences, is it usually happens when they first start learning how to talk (they have probably been seeing ghosts ever since they were an infant, but couldn’t express themselves until learning how to speak), and then this ability (if that’s what it is) seems to fade as they get older.

Is it a matter of simply their imagination going wild? If that’s the case, then how are some children so specific with what they’re seeing? Even going so far as to describe and/or name someone who passed away a long time ago? Are they unconsciously picking up these pieces of information from overhearing past conversations, although the adults don’t recall ever talking about it?

And why do they grow out of this connection when they get older? The prime time that a lot of people describe their child(ren) relaying spooky tales of ghosts, spirits, etc. are around 2-4, and decreasing exponentially as they get older until it diminishes altogether, with the now older child unable to recall the event at all in a lot of cases. What causes this seemingly spiritual ability to fade?

And as with small children, animals, also, have what seems to be an instinctual 6th sense to detect these presences as well.

This video just happens to catch the dogs being attracted to a shadowy figure in the hallway, which can also be seen by the lady (and us viewers) behind the camera. (Is this a practical joke? Someone that the lady knows trying to scare her? Herself being in on the joke? Or is this a legitimate shadow-figure caught on tape?)

When you realize that dogs (and other animals) see on another spectrum than humans, the belief that they’re really seeing something normally unattainable to the human eye is quite an interesting proposal to consider and lends credence to the possibility that they are, indeed, seeing “invisible” entities.

Can Dogs See in Ultraviolet? | Your dog has a visual ability that humans do not.

There’s always uncertainty when it comes to an individual’s testimony or proof, but this is presented just to show the uncanny behavior of the dog’s reactions to certain things, and sometimes nothing at all. What are the dogs really seeing or sensing that most of us can’t?

4. Dicyanin Goggles

Now that we’ve covered the visual spectrum that dogs seem to see in (ultra-vision, night-vision, tend to see the world in shades of yellow, blue, and gray) I thought it would be interesting to bring up the dicyanin goggles, that were created in the 1920’s by scientist Walter Kilner that allows the wearer to see auras.

And strangely, dicyanin (a dark blue chemical dye) is now illegal, and only those of a high enough security clearance are able to obtain it.

“Because of the dyes ability to block out the white light spectrum, it helped Kilner’s ability to concentrate on the person’s aura.

Before the 1940’s, private researchers were able to freely use Dicyanin Dye. During this same time frame the U.S Government banned any use with the dye.

In 2010, very briefly the public was able to buy Dicyanin Dye but was quickly banned once again. When a government chemist was asked to see just how classified the dye was, the chemist found out that the company that creates the dye assigns a special code to its customers.

The chemist also found out that his security code allowed him to buy all the LSD, Heroine and Cocaine he wanted but wasn’t high enough in clearance to request ‘Dicyanin Dye’.”Why Is Dicyanin Dye Illegal?

Surprisingly (or perhaps not) there is very little information on this case. Aside from a small handful of websites, most of which were copying and pasting the same data, it is difficult to find anything substantial.

From the same website (and others with the same information – pretty much word for word):

Quote from Valdamar Valerian: “…A friend of mine and four of his friends experimented with crystalline structures a year or two ago (mid-1980’s – Branton), and they figured out how to cut them along certain planes so they could actually see the aura or energy field around people. That’s when they discovered that all people aren’t ‘people’, or the people they thought they were. It appears that some E.T. humanoids have a dark blue ovoid aura.

(Note: Aura cameras developed by Chuck Shramek — yes, the same Chuck Shramek of the ‘Hale-Bopp Companion’ controversy — and others clearly show the 7 multi-colored ‘chakra’ points of the human soul/spirit matrix. Presumably since reptilians have NO soul, they would have NO multicolored auric field. – Branton).”Why Is Dicyanin Dye Illegal?

I have to be honest, I have not done enough research on the “reptilian” theories to come to an opinion on what was written on the above statement. And my own experience and study on the existence of auras is not as in-depth as I would like.

With that being said, I must again reiterate to please keep an open mind, but be discerning at the same time. Obviously there’s no way to know the legitimacy of what was stated, so further research and critical thinking is always needed before jumping to conclusions.

FUN FACT:Reptilian humanoid” is a trigger word on youtube and will initiate an information bar below the video.

On the same subject as auras, one can actually train themselves to see this energetic field around living beings and objects (and perhaps other beings) – and just like how children are more keen to see spirits/ghosts when they’re younger, a lot of them are also able to see auras, but grow out of this ability as they get older.

Imagine having the capability of knowing how a person’s character is, just by essentially seeing their soul (if there is one…). It’s no wonder the higher-ups wouldn’t want this to get into the public’s hands…

5. Red Night Vision Goggles

During the Vietnam War, there was an alleged incident with specific night vision goggles that used a red spectrum that was given to some of the US military to use.

It worked decently enough to detect thermal signatures and see in the dark; however, there was one significant problem.

Along with those helpful capabilities, people have reported ALSO seeing creatures flying right next to them by the aircraft, that couldn’t ordinarily be seen with the naked eye.

It’s an extremely unnerving account, with purported testimonies of pilots saying that the creatures were looking right at them and pointing to them to their compatriots, letting the other creatures know that these humans can see them.

The discussion about these night vision goggles starts @ around 46:40 and goes on for about 10 minutes. At one point, Clif High relates how his dad describes the flying creatures

Here is a short transcript from the 53:40 mark, highlighting a small portion of the conversation:

Clif High: “-my father said that the single exposure, in terms of him describing it-“

Al: “Made you mad?”

Clif: “The single exposure to the goggles that he would put on that one time, uh, had an unsettling effect on him for several weeks afterwards, and the people that wore the red goggles, the gunner’s and these kind of people were unstable at best for, for months. Many of them were cycled right out of the war as a result of this experience.”

Al: “Yep, that so fits with the whole Vietnam War anyway, and you couldn’t tell the difference – everybody went crazy over there.”

Clif: “Right, right. But here these guys had a real reason for doing it, because of the images coming in, and the radiation, probably.”

Al: “But, I mean, imagine the energies letting loose in Vietnam at the time. No wonder they was attracting those kinds of… manifestations.”

Clif: “You’re right. Maybe the manifestations are there continuously, always around us, but they just don’t disturb us.”

Al “It’s just a strata of reality, right?”

Clif: “Right, right, because we don’t see ’em.”

Could this be some kind of psyop technology that introduces holographic images that aren’t really there, but makes the wearer think it is? Was this simply a test on the military to see how they would react to this scenario? Did they want to be able to test this deception tactic on their own personnel to see if the images would be perceived as real or not?

Or were these soldiers REALLY seeing through the spiritual veil?

6. Ayahuasca / DMT Use

I don’t know enough about DMT or Ayahuasca, or anything of the other mind-altering drugs. So please use your own discretion on this matter. As for myself, personally, I have never used drugs of any kind (other than tylenol/nyquil or the like), so cannot give an account based on this experience. But upon reading other people’s testimony of their use with ayahuasca in particular, I have included it on this list.

The experiences with drugs, shrooms, chemicals, herbs/plants, etc. have long been known to induce hallucinations and/or strange perceptual realizations. But is it all in our head? Or could these drugs really give us the ability to perceive our surroundings across the physical plane and into the spiritual? Is it just a strange chemical reaction in our brain giving us these strange visions?

If that was the case, it’s interesting that people across different cultures and beliefs still claim to see the same entities as one another. As this article states:

“A snake is a common entity taken by Mother Ayahuasca, and in his book, The Cosmic Serpent, Jeremy Narby asserts that the DNA double helix was shown to humans through the serpentine entities of Ayahuasca.

The serpent has been represented throughout various cultural symbols, such as the caduceus, kundalini life force, the Mayan god Quetzalcoatl, and the serpent in the Garden of Eden.

Jaguars are another DMT entity often experienced through Ayahuasca. In fact, shamans are said to be able to physically turn into a jaguar at will, something attained through becoming one with this entity over the course of many ceremonies.”Scientists Want to Know More About DMT Entities People Encounter

Huh. There’s the serpent/reptile again. Seems to be a very frequent entity that has been seen throughout the ages. I swear I’m not intentionally looking for references to them. They’re just coming up during my research. It does make for a strange association though seeing them throughout a post meant to expose the possibility that hidden beings and entities may exist alongside us without our awareness… And it makes an interesting correlation to the human DNA and the connections between people and the “reptilian conspiracy“.

There’s also accounts of beings that one couldn’t even dream of:

“Rather than entities born from individual emotion, people describe meeting entirely autonomous entities, so bizarre and alien that one can’t possibly imagine having created them with their mind. Hence, the reason Dr. Griffiths is so intrigued.

In his book, Breaking Open the Head, Daniel Pinchbeck describes meeting negative autonomous entities that continued to haunt him for weeks after his trip with a DMT molecular variant called DPT.

Similar to some accounts of DMT entities, Pinchbeck said the beings he encountered expressed disdain or pity for his presence as a mere human. Others have said they experienced indifference from DMT entities or messages saying, “Ok, you’ve seen it, now leave.”

But with DPT, Pinchbeck was subjected to a terrifying world of gothic insects, lizards and winged creatures, describing it as a postmodern demonic MTV psychedelic. He realized in retrospect that taking a drug of that magnitude without the shamanic ceremonial aspect was disrespectful and maybe a factor in his frightening experience.”Scientists Want to Know More About DMT Entities People Encounter

From these accounts, it reminds me of the pictures of demons I saw from a collection of images of demonology and magic, which I am not going to link due to the graphic nature of the pictures. Research at your own risk.

And as for the use of Ayahuasca, as related by Daniel Pinchbeck, it is unwise to attempt this consumption without a guide who is knowledgeable and experienced in this substance. In this case as well, please use your best judgement and discernment. Again, I, myself, have never had drugs of any sort, so cannot recommend based on my own experience. And I am still on the fence as to the pursuit of certain knowledge (is this a ritual or occult magic of some sort that people shouldn’t engage in? I’m not sure.), so will leave it for the readers to decide.

So how are most of us never able to perceive these beings if they’re supposedly everywhere? Their spiritual composition vs. our physical eyes aside, it’s amazing the events we’re able to miss when we’re simply not paying attention to it.

To see how inattentive blindness works, watch the below video.

So what do you think? Did you miss things that were RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU?

(bold text added for emphasis)

The notion of hiding in plain sight originally developed in the 1600s as a military tactic that posited that soldiers could occupy any space on the open battlefield as long as they remained out of the line of view of their enemies. As weapons technology advanced and combat evolved beyond rank-and-file fighting, the concept expanded to include early forms of camouflage.

Some 200 years later, Edgar Allen Poe established himself as the father of the modern detective story with the “The Purloined Letter,” published in 1844.1 It features C. Auguste Dupin, an amateur sleuth (and the model for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes), uncovering the whereabouts of a scandalous missing letter. The plot hinges upon a trope of the genre that Poe is also credited with creating—namely, that the best place to hide something is often right out in the open.

As a theory, hiding in plain sight relies more on the limits of human perception than outright trickery. The paradox of the visible remaining unperceived is a function of our need to filter sensory information in order to navigate the world.

A Brief History of Hiding in Plain Sight

Some people/animals seem to be able to sense these presences, but perhaps we try and “scientifically” explain this away by saying it’s delusion, paranoia, schizophrenia, sleep paralysis, or any number of differently labeled mental states and disorders and/or wild behavior.

And with the advent of new technologies and extensive research into how the mind works, it may not be such a far-fetched idea that we are simply mass-hypnotized into not realizing (believing) that these beings even exist, let alone are right in front of us.

Perhaps we have lost our naturally inclined spiritual awareness, being indoctrinated into the material/physical aspect of this planet. As our energies/vibrations diminish due to brainwashing techniques and lack of divine pursuit, so too does our understanding of who we are, our conscious recognition, and our visual discernment.

If monsters, demons, spirits, aliens surround us, without our knowledge, it says more about us, than them. The effort to keep this secret from getting out has been passed down through centuries, if not several millenia. And as more and more people rely on “logistics” and “verifiable proof”, while rejecting the spiritual inclination of everything, enabling not only the “inattentive blindness”, but a “spiritual blindness” as well, it is leading us further and further away from the truth.

It truly gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, “Hiding in plain sight.”

Fact checking is extremely important. I want to reiterate not to take everything at face value; no matter what you read, where you read it from, or who you hear it from. And to be clear, do not rely on “fact checking” websites to give you accurate information either. These are just as likely, (if not even more likely…), to feed false information and false debunking accounts to manipulate the reader. Please take everything into consideration before adhering to a certain narrative – and always keep your mind open to other possibilities.
