What is “Being Successful”?

The answer may surprise you.

What does “success” mean to you?

Perhaps getting a promotion at your job? Rising to the top of the ranks? Getting good grades in school? Scoring a perfect game? Having a large family with a nice big house, perfect yard, white picket fence? Owning your own business?

All of these are very ambitious goals to have.

And, ultimately, don’t matter.

The Key to Success

If you’re familiar with this site, you’ll know that I cover a wide range of different topics to spread awareness. Some are more of a guideline into becoming more kind and compassionate – to change the world for the better; and some take a trip down the dark side – going into awful, depraved things that are going on that the world NEEDS to know.

Both of these go hand in hand because how do we improve our future, if the darkness remains and is allowed to run rampant while we all turn a blind eye?

“Why is all of this relevant to my success?” you may ask?

It has EVERYTHING to do with it.

Let me explain.

I already know I will get doubters and naysayers thinking that this site is just another woo-woo site. And I’m perfectly okay with that. After all, who said the universe had to be anything but “natural”? It most certainly isn’t. Or is it? Perhaps the “supernatural” simply doesn’t exist, and everything is, at it’s core, “natural”.

With that being said, I am also a huge proponent of near death experiences. Why? Because I have personally had a few experiences that I could not simply explain away as “natural”. And they were eerily similar to nde’s. Let me be clear. I was not near death. I don’t drink or do drugs. I wasn’t dreaming or hallucinating. How else could I explain it?

Oh, right. I must be crazy!
I'm not crazy! I swear!
Crazy people don't know that they're crazy. I know I'm crazy therefore I'm not crazy. Isn't that crazy?

That’s obviously the only other rational explanation here. Right? Even more obvious than there really is something more going on than meets the eye, and we’re all just full of our own pride and hubris to admit it. Because, after all, it’s been admitted by scientists and researchers all over the world that we know absolutely everything there is to know about the universe. Case closed, everyone. No more mysteries. Everything’s been solved!

Oh. That’s right. That’s never been said in the history of ever.

(Yes, I may show a slight sarcasm at times. My apologies.)

Getting back into it, my own experiences forced me to take a look outside of my own scope of understanding. Now for those who have never had an unusual experience? I cannot say. If I had never had this happen to me, would I be the person I am today? Most likely not. I was heading down the WRONG path. And I actually surmise that ALL of us go through these unusual experiences at least once in our life, but we explain it away with a “logical” explanation. Therefore diminishing the actual impact it may have had on our life.

I know the topic of near death experiences is a controversial one. But isn’t it interesting that SO many people come back with a message that contradicts the way they were living life on Earth? Let’s take a look at one of the more prominent examples of Howard Storm.

His idea of success was like most people. Do well in school. Have a great career. Make a lot of money. Be respected and revered in his community and among his colleagues.

But during his near death experience, he was met with a HUGE wake-up call:

Howard Storm

My life was shown in a way that I had never thought of before. All of the things that I had worked to achieve, the recognition that I had worked for, in elementary school, in high school, in college, and in my career, they meant nothing in this setting.

I could feel their feelings of sorrow and suffering, or joy, as my life’s review unfolded. They didn’t say that something was bad or good, but I could feel it. And I could sense all those things they were indifferent to. They didn’t, for example, look down on my high school shot-put record. They just didn’t feel anything towards it, nor towards other things which I had taken so much pride in.

What they responded to was how I had interacted with other people. That was the long and short of it. Unfortunately, most of my interactions with other people didn’t measure up with how I should have interacted, which was in a loving way. Whenever I did react during my life in a loving way they rejoiced.

Most of the time I found that my interactions with other people had been manipulative. During my professional career, for example, I saw myself sitting in my office, playing the college professor, while a student came to me with a personal problem. I sat there looking compassionate, and patient, and loving, while inside I was bored to death. I would check my watch under my desk as I anxiously waited for the student to finish.

I got to go through all those kinds of experiences in the company of these magnificent beings.

When I was a teenager my father’s career put him into a high-stress, twelve-hour-a-day job. Out of my resentment because of his neglect of me, when he came home from work, I would be cold and indifferent toward him. This made him angry, and it gave me further excuse to feel hatred toward him. He and I fought, and my mother would get upset. Most of my life I had felt that my father was the villain and I was the victim. When we reviewed my life I got to see how I had precipitated so much of that, myself. Instead of greeting him happily at the end of a day, I was continually putting thorns in him in order to justify my hurt.

I got to see when my sister had a bad night one night, how I went into her bedroom and put my arms around her. Not saying anything, I just lay there with my arms around her. As it turned out that experience was one of the biggest triumphs of my life.

– Howard Storm (near-death.com)

In his testimony, Howard Storm is basically admitting his shortcomings of what was expected of him. He realized that his idea of success was met with indifference and did not matter in the grand scheme of things. What actually mattered was how he treated others. Which begs the questions, “What does “success” really mean for us?”

My friends then said, “Do you think that we expect you to be perfect, after all the love we feel for you, even after you were on Earth blaspheming God, and treating everyone around you like dirt? And this, despite the fact that we were sending people to try and help you, to teach you the truth? Do you really think we would be apart from you now?”

– Howard Storm (near-death.com)

It’s also interesting how Howard Storm refers to himself and how he treated people. He acknowledges that he “treated them like dirt”. It takes a humble and insightful person to come to this realization. (Or a person who has been enlightened by a divine encounter…)

When he [Jesus] told me that I had to come back to the world and I was trying to convince him not to send me back to this world, I asked him what would I do if I came back… Before he had a chance to answer, I said, you know I am an artist and I would like to build you a shrine… I would make this shrine so big and beautiful and bizarre that people would come from all over the world out of curiosity to see what it was about. And what they would find was it would be about you. And that would make them think about you. That’s what I would like to do if I came back.

He said, I would rather you didn’t do that.

And I said, WHAT?!! People have been building shrines to you forever. There are lots of shrines. Why can’t I build a shrine? I would like to build a shrine.

He said you spent so much of your life hiding out in the studio, avoiding people, I would prefer it if you didn’t avoid people by building this big shrine… I don’t really care about shrines. People like to build shrines. I understand that. It makes them feel good. It does absolutely nothing for me or for God. We don’t have any use for them whatsoever. If that’s what amuses you, I guess that’s what you gotta do. But don’t do it for me. Don’t deceive yourself into thinking it’s something I want or need, because I don’t.

I’m like, OK, you shot down my idea, what’s you’re idea of what would I do?

And he said, love the person that you’re with.

And I said, OK, great, I’ll do that. No problem. What do you want me to do?

He said, I just told you what I want you to do: love the person that you’re with.

And I said, Yeah, but after I do that, what do you really want me to do?

No, that is what I want you to do: love the person that you’re with.

I said well, that’s simple enough, that’s easy, I can do that.

And he said, oh really. Well, that’s what I want you to do. That’s enough.

And I said, how is it enough?

He said, if you do that, you’ll change the world.

– Howard Storm (near-death.com)

Again, Howard Storm admits that his idea of how he wanted to honor God/Jesus was shot down. Instead, he was given a very direct task. That didn’t have anything to do with Howard’s profession or what he actually wanted to do – what he thought was the best way to honor God. No, he was simply told to “love the person you’re with”.

Dr. Dianne Morrissey

Dianne Morrissey has also experienced a life review in which her acts of unselfish kindness overrode anything else she did in life.

“At the same time, to my amazement, I was re-living my entire twenty-eight years simultaneously! The best experiences brought me feelings of great joy, as if God were talking to me through the angelic being, sharing the highest moments of my life. I felt as if every spirit in Heaven was watching with me, applauding me and letting me know that God approved of my caring, unselfish deeds. It was then that I asked myself, ‘Am I dead? Am I really dead?’

“As the life review continued, I was shown two very special deeds I had performed. As these scenes were displayed before me, every emotion I had originally felt returned in full force. I also felt as if God and the angelic being were honoring me for having performed those deeds.

“The first deed I witnessed had occurred the day I stopped my car to help push a woman’s stalled station wagon out of mainstream traffic and into a supermarket driveway. The driver had been struggling to push the car by herself, and I felt compelled to give her a helping hand. After I had helped push her vehicle to safety, I rushed back to my car, afraid of getting a ticket for being double-parked. In my haste, I hadn’t given her a chance to thank me. While reviewing this scene, I was filled with indescribable feelings of love, which seemed to be directed to me from angelic beings high above me.

“Then, my angel showed me a second vision, a scene I’d forgotten. I now saw myself at seventeen, when I’d worked at a convalescent hospital after school. I had grown fond of a toothless old woman who was no longer able to speak clearly, and who never had visitors. She liked to suck on graham crackers before going to bed, but no one wanted to serve her because when she had finished, she would drool as she kissed the entire length of the arm of the person feeding her. While others avoided her, I willingly fed her the cookies she adored, seeing how happy this made her.

“When that scene was replayed for me, I felt as if every loving spirit in God’s kingdom was thanking me in unison. I was amazed that such an act could have meant so much to God – and to me. I felt humbled and very honored.

Dr. Dianne Morrissey – (near-death.com)

During her return to her body, Dianne comes to the revelation that the “American dream” she had attained no longer mattered. And she regretted not living more meaningfully by reaching out to others:

“I finally found myself back in my house, once again looking down at my physical body. This time, I realized that my physical body had the potential to live again. I had begun to care less and less whether I returned to my physical body, but at this moment, looking down at my body, my attitude underwent a change. I thought, ‘How sad; she has done so very little.’ I realized ‘Dianne’ hadn’t touched as many people as she could have while alive. And I realized how life could be enriched by touching others lives more deeply and meaningfully.

“While alive, as Dianne, I had always known that my life was full of certain pleasures: a beautiful home, a good job, a nice car, warm friends, a wonderful family, a beloved best friend, and a musical career I loved. ‘But none of these matter any more,’ I thought, reversing myself again. Only the Light mattered. Only God mattered.

Daniel Rosenblit

Daniel explains how he felt towards his fellow man before he had his near death experience. He admits how condescending, inconsiderate, and rude he was to those he felt were “inferior”. He also explains how easily “success” came to him.

After my spiritual self died, I was neither interested in God, nor concerned about spiritual matters whatsoever. As I grew older it appeared to me that religious people were weak and used religion as their crutch. I considered myself to be a strong, self-reliant person who did not need any crutch, so I felt superior to them. I grew into puberty a purely carnal creature. Pretty girls and squeezing the gusto out of life became everything to me.

I was the type of person who was successful in everything I did. I was a good student and an excellent athlete – as a wrestler and football player. Though I was short in stature (5’6″), I won awards as a wrestler and was an exceptional running back in football. God blessed me with being an excellent football player and many of my classmates admired me for this. But instead of acknowledging God’s hand for my skills, I was becoming puffed-up with pride. I was not grateful to God, nor did I give Him any credit for anything (At this time in my life I doubted whether a Higher Power even existed).

I considered my friends and myself to be upper crust people, and I looked down with contempt on people in school who I viewed as physically weak. Additionally, I considered ugly or fat girls to be utterly useless. A few of my classmates would regularly make jokes directed at the mentally retarded and physically handicapped kids, or racist jokes directed against blacks or Puerto Ricans. I grew up in an all-white school. But I never laughed to their faces, but I laughed along with the crowd behind their backs. One exception was that I belittled a black fellow who was in my troop when I was a boy scout. I believed that there were a few winners and mostly losers in life, and I considered myself one of the winners.

Note:  At the time of my death experience, I was your typical narcissistic college student who was solely seeking personal pleasure and personal goals. Like most middle class young people in America, I had no responsibilities. With all my spare time and energy, I desperately tried to squeeze the most fun and pleasure out of life than I possibly could. Spiritual matters meant nothing to me.

Daniel Rosenblist – (near-death.com)

Here Daniel realizes that everything he strived for, everything he thought that mattered, was actually completely contradictory to what he was shown. And that he was doing everything wrong!

In this new divine light, I saw more Reality. The Reality was this:

My entire life had been one huge test and I was now being graded on literally everything! Every word, deed, and even thought!

Interestingly enough, my judge was not some immense being on a great white throne. Something had emerged from within myself which I believe was my soul, and “It” sat in judgment of me. I had never recalled ever being in touch with this part of myself before. My soul showed absolutely no partiality towards me, even though “It” had resided within me my entire life.

My own soul sat in Judgment of my entire life. It assumed a totally objective and impartial role. At this time I was fully aware that this soul of mine would just as soon plunge me into Hell rather than offend God. “It” knew perfection, which is God’s standard, and all of my actions were compared to this standard. By “perfection,” I mean pure, untainted Love.

Also, because I was living contrary to God’s ways, I learned that all of creation considered me their enemy and was poised to persecute me! I learned that all of creation serves God except for human beings. This is because we are the only creatures with free will. But most of us choose to misuse it!

I was shown that pure love was serving God and others without any self-centered motives. Even if one was motivated to perform a good deed in order to feel good about one’s own self or to attain future treasures in heaven, this would be considered to be a tainted act; totally unacceptable to God. I was shown that God only accepts selfless acts of love. God is Love. Love only recognizes love.

Daniel Rosenblist – (near-death.com)

So what are we striving for? What is the REAL definition of “being successful”?

Since most of our neighbors – the entire human race – live their lives in darkness and are headed for very great sorrow at the time of death, we are real fools if we compare ourselves to them! God showed me the wise alternative is to compare ourselves to the holy ones … the saintly – people such as the eastern mystics, Mother Teresa, etc. Truly, God expects us all to become like these holy ones! I’m not kidding!! Indeed, God’s expectations of our character are far, far higher than most realize or want to admit! Jesus taught people to ”be perfect as your Father is in Heaven.” My friends, this is not an opinion. It is a commandment! He fully expects us to sincerely strive for it!

The Holy One showed me that throughout my entire life, my ego had occupied the center-stage of my life. I had lived solely for gratifying myself. I was motivated by self-interest in everything that I did; though, I had never consciously thought about this before. The foundation of my life was myself and all of my actions were performed to obtain some type of reward for myself; either tangible or intangible. Either I wanted money, sex, a pat on the back, a wink, a smile, someone to think well of me, etc. Thus, all of my acts had been polluted by selfish motives in varying degrees. Thus, until this point all of my life’s deeds had been totally unacceptable to God!

Actually, I was shown that I had not even performed one deed that was acceptable to God my entire life; not even one! I was shattered, speechless, and panic stricken all at the same time. I cried, “I cannot believe it, I have wasted my entire life!” I had absolutely nothing to show for all my entire time spent on Earth.

Fun and pleasure, which were once everything to me, were not in my mind anymore. At this point, all that mattered to me was to find pure acts of love to offer up to God so that He would accept them. I feverishly searched, but to my dismay I could not find any!

If I would have attained the kingdom of God, I would have passed the most important test one will ever encounter. Compared to this test, all other tests are worth less than nothing. Only if you pass this test has your life been successful. This is the test of your character or the “Test of Life.” Believe me, whether we like it or not, the Lord is testing us all! Having an impeccable character is far more valuable than winning the Powerball Lotto! It is the absolute prerequisite to attaining God consciousness.

Daniel Rosenblist – (near-death.com)

I highly encourage you to check out these testimonies in full, as well as research these in general. Another informative and enlightening account is by Howard Pittman, a Christian minister who actually realized that all of his preaching meant nothing in the eyes of God, simply because he was doing it as a self-preservation. Very detailed and harrowing look into what we think makes a good, successful person, as opposed to the reality.

Even if one is an atheist and doesn’t believe in God, these are still key lessons to live in life. Although, in my humble opinion, the “belief in God” should at least be considered. After all, perhaps “God” as we assume the term to mean, isn’t correct. Perhaps “God” simply means “Love”. If you know and live in love, even if you’re an atheist, then you still believe in God, whether you realize it or not.

The below links also gives us an insight into what a lot of people thought on their deathbed without having a near death experience. Taking into account the way they lived their life and the things they wished they would have done differently.

Hint: None of them ever say, “I wish I had worked harder.”

Notice how none of these life reviews ever mention how well they did on those tests in school. Or “congratulations on getting that promotion”. Or, “Wow! All that money you made was great!”

Same with the deathbed confessions.

Most of the insights from both of these avenues is that it’s all about how we treat each other. Or how little time we spent with each other and the regret that arises from that.

It reminds me of this incredibly sad, but relatable song:

My child arrived just the other day
He came to the world in the usual way
But there were planes to catch and bills to pay
He learned to walk while I was away
And he was talkin’ ‘fore I knew it, and as he grew
He’d say, “I’m gonna be like you, dad
You know I’m gonna be like you”

And the cat’s in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin’ home dad?
I don’t know when, but we’ll get together then son
You know we’ll have a good time then

My son turned ten just the other day
He said, “Thanks for the ball, dad, come on let’s play
Can you teach me to throw”, I said, “Not today
I got a lot to do”, he said, “That’s okay”
And he walked away but his smile never dimmed
And said, “I’m gonna be like him, yeah
You know I’m gonna be like him”

And the cat’s in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin’ home son?
I don’t know when, but we’ll get together then, son
You know we’ll have a good time then

Well, he came home from college just the other day
So much like a man I just had to say
“Son, I’m proud of you, can you sit for a while?”
He shook his head and said with a smile
“What I’d really like, dad, is to borrow the car keys
See you later, can I have them please?”

And the cat’s in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin’ home son?
I don’t know when, but we’ll get together then, son
You know we’ll have a good time then

I’ve long since retired, my son’s moved away
I called him up just the other day
I said, “I’d like to see you if you don’t mind”
He said, “I’d love to, dad, if I can find the time
You see my new job’s a hassle and kids have the flu
But it’s sure nice talking to you, dad
It’s been sure nice talking to you”

And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me
He’d grown up just like me
My boy was just like me

And the cat’s in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin’ home son?
I don’t know when, but we’ll get together then, son
You know we’ll have a good time then

Yes, at the moment, we are tied to societal rules of having a job in order to “make a living”. At least until we step away from this man-made (“man-made”? Some people would refute that…) heirarchy and start working together.

Until then, our main purpose is clear. The way to success, the only success that matters, is to treat each other with love and compassion. Everyday that we strive to become better, kinder people, no matter what arena of life we’re in, we will be successful. And we will be building an even more successful future for the Earth and humankind.

Fact checking is extremely important. I want to reiterate not to take everything at face value; no matter what you read, where you read it from, or who you hear it from. And to be clear, do not rely on “fact checking” websites to give you accurate information either. These are just as likely, (if not even more likely…), to feed false information and false debunking accounts to manipulate the reader. Please take everything into consideration before adhering to a certain narrative – and always keep your mind open to other possibilities.

Cruel Reality Check

Are you brave enough to check behind the veil?

Have you ever looked around you and thought, how in the world did we get here?

There’s so much dissension, not only politically, of course, with the election quickly coming up, but also religiously, ethnically, racially… Why are humans, supposedly the most evolved species on the planet, still having segregation issues?

I’d like to propose a theory.

A “conspiracy” theory. (We’ll be bringing that a lot up in this article.)

As a matter of fact, if you’re on this page, chances are, you probably already know what I’m going to suggest.

I feel as if most of us are truly good-hearted, caring people. We want unity. We want all this violence and separation to end. And most of all, we want love.

So why does it feel as if hate and discrimination is more prevalent than ever?

I'll tell you why.

It’s because, I expect, most of the huge violent acts covered in the media is, to be frank, manufactured. Manufactured, specifically, to keep us in a mindless routine to continue this perpetual state of finger pointing and blaming others to distract us from the real issues that “they” want to keep hidden from us.

And who is "they"?

It could be one huge group trying to gain control. Or several different groups, vying for leadership. Or even a combination of them, working in conjunction with (or against) each other for their own benefit. There are a number of different factions that are accused of setting some kind of world domination goal. Some “conspiracy theorists” accuse what they call the global elites. And/or the cabal. NWO. Illuminati. Jews. Masons. Royal family. Bilderberg group. Satanists. Brotherhood. Deepstate. Vatican. Zionists. Etc., etc. There are a whole number of different accused parties and names for these groups.

And yes, this is a rabbit hole. A deep, dark rabbit hole that we must address, because to not even look at all the evidence piling up means, ultimately, that we’re complicit and allowing all of this darkness to persist.

This is not to say that all of the violence and chaos in the media is staged, fabricated, manufactured, etc. There are, most certainly, real crimes and hatred amongst the population. But there are specific events that I believe give a concerted push into an agenda to suit a purported group’s objective.

Detachment

Perhaps people feel, “Well, if it doesn’t affect me directly, then why do I need to be involved? Why do I need to know all of this? I am just an innocent non-participant. Besides. None of it is real anyway. Crazy.”

I am going to have to ask, for all the people that think this way, with all the concern and sincerity in my heart: “Did you even LOOK at the things presented?” Because I guarantee you, if you did, you would not be able to say, sanely, that there is absolutely nothing going on. (Unless, of course, you are paid to do so. Or in extreme denial; which, again, not sane.)

And to say it doesn’t affect you… well, in my opinion, that’s a very selfish way of thinking. So it is okay to let the abuse and trafficking of children go hidden, because it doesn’t affect you? It’s okay that so many people are silenced “suicided” for trying to expose the truth? It’s okay that the future of humanity is in the hands of corrupted, psychologically disturbed, power-hungry individuals leading us ever closer to a dystopian society?

Oh, that’s right. Some refuse to believe that. Some refuse to go down the rabbit hole, I surmise, because they are afraid of what they’ll find. They innately know, that there is truth to be found there, and they simply don’t want the truth. They want to remain in the safe, blissful confines of their own world; unaware and indifferent to the horrors and tragedies that numerous innocent people have to suffer through. Most are defenseless, helpless at the hands of those they’re in. But, you know, since it doesn’t affect us or our loved ones, it’s okay.

Into the Rabbit Hole

If you choose to confront the possibilities that are happening around us, you have to do so with an open-mind. Always be questioning, not just instantly believing everything stated. I only want to present some interesting pieces of information that are worth looking into further. This is not only to no longer fall into the trap of blind delusion, but to help us become more aware and discerning with not only our future, but our own livelihood (or lack of…).

Again, the rabbit hole goes deep. You might quickly find yourself shaking your head that these things can’t be possible. And that’s exactly their m.o. “Conspiracy theories” exist to keep us in a constant state of disbelief so that we just won’t be able to accept these awful, terrible things as real.

“Not in today’s society!”
I hear you scoff. But guess what? It’s happened since the earliest history that we know of, and it continues to this day. Just because you don’t, or can’t, accept it doesn’t mean it’s not really happening. I suggest you open up, look around, and put the pieces together. Something dark is truly going on.

Now, there is so much to cover, and there are numerous websites available that have already covered the material thoroughly, so the quickest route I can give you is to provide a link to some of the most informative articles I’ve seen. This will help shed some light as a starting point to get you started.

These are just some of the information out there that can help one connect the dots. And again, I want to reiterate to take everything in with an open, discerning eye and mind. Don’t just trust everything you read and see. Dig deeper, research more names involved, and you can see this terrifying picture start to unfold.

Don’t believe in God? Well, a lot of these people seem to believe in His opposite. Perhaps it’s time to reevaluate what you believe, or why you believe.

If you have any other topics you’d like me to add to this list, please contact me and let me know. These are very important issues that the world NEEDS to know. Help me spread the awareness and share with others.

Fact checking is extremely important. I want to reiterate not to take everything at face value; no matter what you read, where you read it from, or who you hear it from. And to be clear, do not rely on “fact checking” websites to give you accurate information either. Near Death Experiences

What is the purpose of near death experiences?

I’ve researched this topic due to some past experiences I’ve had. And the insight and messages that near death experiences are trying to teach us is something SO important, SO significant, that I absolutely had to write a post about it.

I’ll be going over some of the more essential messages that I believe these experiences are trying to show us. I will be excited when people start searching for ways and reasons to better themselves and the world, and think we can all learn a valuable lesson in these people’s testimonies.

Biblical Veracity?

One counter argument about this phenomena, is that it’s not biblical. So others warn people to be careful with these messages.

In some cases, I agree. After all, when we’re dealing with people’s accounts, we have to be discerning and come to a well-adjusted and unbiased opinion. However, on the other side of the coin, how do we know these accounts aren’t biblical? Is there anything in the bible that will support, or condemn this theory? Or perhaps not mention it at all?

With more researching and investigating, perhaps this answer will come to light. At the time, there is still so much material in the Bible and other sources to go through. But in the meantime, my personal opinion, due to testimony gathering and my own experiences and reasoning, have ultimately decided that it really just depends.

I know. Not really the definitive answer anyone was looking for. But when it comes to matters of the metaphysical, can anyone really say, for sure, that one thing is unequivocally, absolutely, positively, without a doubt, undeniably this one certain way?

If we’re being honest with ourselves, the answer is “no”. So all we really have to go on are our beliefs, experiences, and our interpretations.

With this in mind, I’d like to present some fascinating insight into some very important aspects of the near death experience.

Topics that are addressed (click on the link below to navigate the page):

Revelation - People experiencing essential visions.
Life Review - How did you live your life?
Spiritual Encounter - Incredible meetings with transcendent beings.
Love - One of the key messages from near death experiences.
Changing the World - Is this what nde's are trying to show us?
'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."
Acts 2:17

I won’t go into too much details about the biblical studies into near death experiences, but wanted to highlight the above quote. This points out to what amounts to some largely held debates of who can prophesy.

Some ministers and scholars say that modern day prophets don’t exist (unless they’re false prophets). But according to Acts 2:17, this is not entirely true. But how do we even define “prophet”? In Acts 2 it doesn’t say “prophet”. It just says that sons and daughters will prophesy, not that they are or have become “prophets”. And is a person considered “once a prophet, always a prophet?”

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy...All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines”
1 Corinthians 12:7-12

Notice how the bolded text mentions “a message”, singular. Not messages, plural. Same with the word prophecy. It is singular. Not “prophecies”.

So wouldn’t it be just as likely that the Holy Spirit comes down and gives certain people certain messages (or a certain message) in order to help spread God’s word?

With those considerations in place, here are some interesting examples of some people's "revelations" about our future...

The following excerpts are from near-death.com. Please visit the website for more information.

Howard Storm

In Howard Storm‘s book, My Descent into Death (2000), he describes the future of mankind as given to him by light beings he encountered during his NDE in 1985. Storm wrote how they told him, in 1985, that the Cold War would soon end, because:

“God is changing the hearts of people to love around the world.” Storm states, “Since the time in 1985 when I was told these things about the future the Cold War ended with little bloodshed due to the hearts of people being unwilling to tolerate oppressive regimes.”

Howard Storm - (cont.)

Storm also described what the light beings told him concerning the way things will be on earth in about 2185. He asked the light beings the question: “Will the United States be the leader of the world in this change?” The light beings replied:

“The United States has been given the opportunity to be the teacher for the world, but much is expected of those to whom much has been given. The United States has been given more of everything than any country in the history of the world and it has failed to be generous with the gifts. If the United States continues to exploit the rest of the world by greedily consuming the world’s resources, the United States will have God’s blessing withdrawn. Your country will collapse economically which will result in civil chaos.

Because of the greedy nature of the people, you will have people killing people for a cup of gasoline. The world will watch in horror as your country is obliterated by strife. The rest of the world will not intervene because they have been victims of your exploitation. They will welcome the annihilation of such selfish people.

The United States must change immediately and become the teachers of goodness and generosity to the rest of the world. Today the United States is the primary merchant of war and the culture of violence that you export to the world. This will come to an end because you have the seeds of your own destruction within you. Either you will destroy yourselves or God will bring it to an end if there isn’t a change.”

Elaine Durham

The seat of power will move away from Washington, D.C because there will be so much turmoil and warfare on the eastern side of America. America will come to the very edge of destruction because Americans have chosen to seek worldly things rather than loving or serving others, and because they refused to care for their precious natural resources, and because their greed and selfishness. The U.S. government will lose most of its power and no longer govern completely and lawlessness will reign on the eastern side of America as well as tremendous anarchy and crime.

There will be less turmoil on the western side of America and even a certain amount of prosperity. A new seat of power will rise near present-day Kansas City. From this location, a true spiritual force will become the governing power over the whole land — a power such that emanates from Christ.

George Ritchie

The world will grow more peaceful – both humanity and nature.
Humans will not be as critical of themselves or others.
Humans will not be as destructive to nature.
Humans will begin to understand what love is.

The examples I gave above were but a mere introduction to this topic; since there are a ton of testimonies that relay prophetic revelations.

It’s interesting that a lot of nde’s focus on the state of the world and how we’re growing increasingly more corrupt and greedy. The desire for material possessions consumes a lot of people, unfortunately. And our inconsideration for each other, and nature, may very well be our downfall. Nde’s seems to serve as a warning for us to change our ways, or something dire will happen.

Thankfully, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. As some near death experiencers recall, there is a way to reverse all this damage. George Ritchie, Howard Storm and many others mention in their near death experiences that people will change for the better. But it takes awareness, love and compassion to get there.

While reading through some people’s testimonies, I became fascinated with “life reviews”. When people go through these, most of them come out of the experience with a new outlook on life. That being, one of the reasons that we’re here is to see how we treat each other. One of the key takeaways from nde’s is that our actions affect others, sometimes in ways that we can’t even imagine.

During life reviews, we get the chance to see just how we’re affecting others. Sometimes with, quite literally, life-altering results. (Which, I’d imagine, is the point.)

The testimonies below provide a perfect example of “walking in someone’s shoes”.

Oliver John Calvert

He also saw what he had done to others — how he had made them think and feel. Now, he felt it, experiencing the “fear intimidation, neglect, sarcasm, harsh criticism, coarse jokes, ridicule. I saw their faces and I felt what I had put them through, at that point. I was made to feel everything and it came all at once.” – Oliver John Calvert (spiritdailyblog.com)

Laura M.

My life flashed before me; a life review was in order. When it was over, my head was hung in shame for He had seen it too. I was not happy about many, many of my actions. Then, in awe, I turned to Him asking, “How can you still love me so completely after witnessing my many sins?”

“You are a child of God,” He said, “and God Is Love. I see you purely as Love.” – Laura M. (the-formula.org)

Kimberly Clark Sharp

When the woman was a little girl, she saw a tiny flower growing almost impossibly out of a crack in the sidewalk. She bent down and cupped the flower and gave it her full unconditional love and attention.

When the girl became a woman and had an NDE, during her life review she discovered that it was this incident with the flower that was the most important event of her entire life. The reason was because it was the moment where she expressed her love in a greater, purer, and unconditional manner.

This example of a life review by Kimberly Clark Sharp is one of my favorite examples because it shows in a dramatic way a principle that appears in many life reviews. The principle is that the actions we think are unimportant may turn out to be the most important act we have ever done in our life. Unconditional and spontaneous acts of love are the greatest acts we can perform – even if it is directed at a tiny flower. – Kimberly Clark Sharp (near-death.com)

Carter Mills

Carter Mills saw himself when he was a child and killed a mother bird with a sling shot. At the time, he was so proud of that shot; but during his life review, he felt the pain that the mother bird’s babies went through when they starved to death. – Carter Mills (near-death.com)

Rick R.

Then without warning, it happened! ‘What have you done with your life?’ The voice penetrated my very being! I had no answer! Then to my right I saw what seemed to be like a movie; and I was in it! I saw my mother giving me birth, my childhood and friends! I saw everything from my youth up! I saw everything I had ever done before my eyes!

As my life played out before my very eyes, I tried to think of good things I had done. I was raised in church and had been very active in church functions, yet as I pondered on this, I saw a man in his car that had ran out of gas. I had stopped and given him a lift to a local store about a year ago. I had bought him some gas as he had no money and helped him get on his way!

I thought to myself, why am I seeing this? The voice was loud and clear. You took no thought to help this soul and asked nothing in return! These actions are the essence of good!

I saw all the people I had hurt as well and was shown how my actions had set in motion the actions of others! I was stunned! I had never thought of my life having an effect on the actions that friends, family, and others I had met would take! I saw the results of all I had done! I was not pleased at all! I looked on until the events ended. Indeed, I had done so little with my life! I had been selfish and cruel in so many ways! I was truly sorry I had done so little. – Rick R. (nderf.org)

Betty Eadie

“Then I saw the disappointment that I had caused others, and I cringed as their feelings of disappointment filled me, compounded by my own guilt. I understood all the suffering I had caused, and I felt it. I began to tremble. I saw how much grief my bad temper had cased, and I suffered this grief. I saw my selfishness, and my heart cried for relief. How had I been so uncaring?

Then in the midst of my pain, I felt the love of the council come over me. They watched my life with understanding and mercy. Everything about me was taken into consideration, how I was raised, the things I had been taught, the pain give me by others, the opportunities I had received or not received. And I realized that the council was not judging me. I was judging myself. Their love and mercy were absolute.

I was shown the ripple effect, as they described it. I saw how I had often wronged people and how they had often turned to others and committed a similar wrong. This chain continued from victim to victim, like a circle of dominoes, until it came back to the start – to me, the offender. The ripples went out, and they came back. I had offended far more people than I knew, and my pain multiplied and became unbearable.”

Betty Eadie - (cont.)

“Then he showed me the reversed side of the ripple effect. I saw myself perform an act of kindness, just a simple act of unselfishness, and I saw the ripples go out again. The friend I had been kind to was kind in turn to one of her friends, and the chain repeated itself.

I saw love and happiness increase in others’ lives because of that one simple act on my part. I saw their happiness grow and affect their lives in positive ways, some significantly. My pain was replaced with joy. I felt the love they felt, and I felt their joy, and this from one simple act of kindness. A powerful thought hit me, and I repeated it over and over in my mind:

“Love is really the only thing that matters”.

Betty Eadie (near-death.com)

It’s interesting to note, during our life reviews, it is usually not any divine beings passing off judgment on us. They simply present our life to us, and we end up going through the emotions and feelings of the other person (or nature). And it affects us so deeply – since it is an experience that we don’t normally have on Earth.

Empathy seems to be a foreign concept to a lot of people. So to be suddenly hit with it in such a large dose, and then realizing that it was YOU who caused all the hurt and pain others have gone through, is such an eye-opener and profound epiphany. The awareness one gleans from this is bound to make a significant impact on their life.

And for those who refuse to believe that consciousness can exist outside of a human mind/body/soul, near death experiences would beg to differ. Even a tiny plant can feel love and reciprocate. Same with animals.

Perhaps life reviews are to teach us humility, empathy, and awareness; that our actions affect everything in remarkable ways.

Many people claim to see divine beings while having a near death experience.
Angelic beings? Jesus Christ? People claim to see many different heavenly beings while having a near death experience.

Image by Karin Henseler from Pixabay

So now we get to the various entities that people have claimed to encounter. This ranges from angelic beings, to different deities from many different religions/cultures, to saints, to even God Himself. One well known entity many have claimed to have met is Jesus Christ.

Now, I did raise the issue earlier about whether nde’s are biblical. And it is a very important question for a lot of people. Some without a religious background accept the idea of nde’s without a qualm. Those that do believe in the Bible have their reservations. And there are other Christians that believe in it whole-heartedly.

This is where discernment is extremely important. Yes, we want to make sure the messages we’re receiving is not an attempt to mislead, so we do want to be consciously aware and question these sources.

For the majority of nde testimonies, it’s clear that the message they deliver is one of love and treating each other with kindness. This is an exact teaching of Jesus Christ. That was one of His main commandments:

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:30-31

This is just one example of how I think it would help to discern a near death experience. If it teaches love and compassion, that seems like a good indicator. There are some stories that I do feel uncomfortable with …so I always want to encourage everyone to pray, use their best discernment, and stay aware.

Below are some amazing testimonies of people’s encounters with divine beings from “the other side”.

Jeffrey C.

I saw a man in a robe who was about 40 years old with a trimmed beard and a balding head. I thought he looked like a monk, and wondered to myself if this was Judas. After a long time, my eyes began to burn so badly, I finally decided that it was worth it to put up with the bad flashes if I could just close my eyes for a while. I began to sob quietly as the flashes of my evil ways rushed in, and I heard a voice. It said, ‘If you ask him, maybe he will save you.’ I thought to myself, ‘How?’ The voice said, ‘Say it. Say the words, Jesus Christ my savior in heaven, please save me.’ I said the words out loud. The voice said, ‘ Again’ and so I said it again, and again, and again. The screaming stopped, and then the flashes stopped. It was silent.

As I looked up, I saw a man sitting in a giant stone chair. There was a silver-winged creature next to him who had a helmet with wings on it. There was a woman on his left. She had some very old men behind her. We were on a platform in space, but the stars were eyes instead. I realized that this was Jesus and the creature on his right was the angel of the lord, and woman on his left was The Blessed Virgin Mary. I can only guess that the old men had to be Abraham, Moses, or one of those important people; maybe the disciples Peter, Paul, or someone. Jesus had a look of disappointment on his face that touched me to my soul and made me feel so ashamed.

The Angel of the Lord said, ‘Tell our lord what brings you here.’ I began to explain that I felt that the world was not a fair place and I didn’t want to be a part of it anymore. He looked at me as if I was crazy and asked, ‘Who told you it was going to be a fair world?’ I really didn’t understand.

Jeffrey C. - (cont.)

I found myself back on the platform before Jesus. The Blessed Mother asked me what I thought of what I learned. I told her I thought it wasn’t right that I had to put up with people hurting me, that Jesus was suppose to protect me, and if I was going to go back that I wanted him to make it right. He looked at me and said, ‘My son, I can not cause pain to another, I can only heal those who are broken.’

With the arrogance of youth, I tried to pull the old ‘I want to talk to the manager’ routine and demanded to talk to God. The Blessed Mother said, ‘You can not ‘see’ God.’ Jesus spoke up and said, ‘No one can see God.’ The blessed mother was angry and told me to kneel before this great healer and ask forgiveness. I knelt down. I could feel the great disappointment and astonishment at my arrogance.

I began to weep, and Jesus ask, ‘Do you know why I saved you from the pit of purgatory?’ I replied, ‘No’. He said, ‘Remember the old man, the one you thought was Judas? This showed me that you believe, you truly believe.’ I realized at that moment that Jesus was with me, and had been with me the whole time. He was always with me, throughout everything that has happened. And my belief means way more than I had ever realized. He saw something in me that even I did not see. I began to weep so badly that I was frozen there on the floor with my head in my hands and crying uncontrollably. – Jeffrey C. (nderf.org)

And then I turned around and all sudden I see Jesus! BAM! It hit me so hard with His love! It just knocked me down! And I knew right away who it was. There was no doubt who it was. It was Jesus! And I fell down on my knees because the love that was coming from him was so intense that I couldn’t even stand up.

I remember before dying, that a long time ago, I was told that ‘No man could stand before Jesus or God.’ I thought, ‘Well, why would that be?’ I mean, ‘Would He beat you down or something?’ I never understood why they would say that. Now I know why; it is because his love is so mighty, that I can’t even describe it. This love is so intense that I could not stand because it just knocked me over.

Anyway, I’m on my knees and I’m looking at Him like I was ashamed, with my hands over my face and peeking up at Him. I don’t want to look straight at Him because He was looking at me with so much love. I didn’t feel worthy of it. I don’t know why I would feel that way because I’m not bad person. – Sheila S. (nderf.org)

What I know to be the energy of Angels greeted me with the tenderest warmest energy. I felt embraced by them. They morphed into billowy forms and surrounded me. Their hearts glowed radiating and pulsing with light of vibrant colors. From my heart which glowed dimly as well, I could sense, feel, and hear telepathically.

I sent an energy wave from my Higher Heart to the heart of the energy of the angels. They sensed I had a question for them. I sensed it was okay for me to send them my questions. From my glowing heart waves, I asked them if what I was experiencing was real.

The angels responded telepathically that their realm was real. I then asked them if I was there with them if that meant that I was dead. They responded telepathically that my body died so my soul or Higher Heart was visiting them.

For the first time since I arrived, I felt fear, like I had known in the earthly realm, form within my Higher Heart. They responded to my fear instantly by dissolving it for me. I felt embraced by their energy. I sensed that legions of energy beings with the most subtle presence were sending me comfort. – Marueen K. (nderf.org)

These amazing encounters show that although we may not have led exemplary lives on Earth, the beings are still encouraging us with a never-ending love. Some people have also mentioned that they reunited with loved ones that have passed away, that are trying to teach them the art of love and kindness as well.

And it has to be said, along with Jesus Christ, God, angels, saints, etc., some people have also encountered the “not so savory” characters.

These are accounts of people confronting demons, evil spirits, and even satan.

Howard Pittman

When we started the tour of the second heaven, the angels began by showing me the different types of demons. Each demon was revealed to me in a form that indicated his area of expertise, and I soon discovered that there is no such thing as a “general practitioner” in all the demon world. The demons are all experts in their fields. They have only one area of expertise which they do very well.

“At one time during this tour of the second heaven, I watched the demons within their own related group and I experienced an awful feeling. It was an overwhelming, oppressive, and morbid feeling. This feeling came to me shortly after I had entered the second heaven and I wondered what was causing it.

It was at this time that I learned that the angels could read my mind because my guardian angel said to me, “That feeling you are wondering about is caused by the fact that there is no love in this world.” The angel was telling me that in this second heaven there is not one bit of love!

Wow! Can you imagine all of those demons serving a master they don’t love and the master ruling over beings that he doesn’t love? Worse than that, their companions are working together for an eternity and they do not even love each other. – Howard Pittman – (howardpittman.com)

Charles T.

I sensed evil around me and even though I thought I could move about, I froze because of fear. I thought I was alone until I saw three demon like figures standing by my feet and talking in three different languages.

I was laying on a cold slab in a dark chamber of what I found out later to be Hell. While the demons were talking and looking down at me, there was a tiny light coming from behind them and I could see their silhouettes. They were about three to four feet high with skinny bodies, arms, and legs.

The light behind them was getting bigger and closer so I quit looking at the demons and concentrated on the light. Because of an earlier experience in my life, I knew the light to be Jesus Christ. He engulfed me in His light and took my spirit and soul out of Hell. He replaced them in my physical body in order to live again. – Charles T. – (nderf.org)

EVERYTHING I ever thought, did, said, hated, helped, did not help, should have helped was shown in front of me, the crowd of hundreds and everyone like a movie.

How mean I’d been to people, how I could have helped them, how mean I was (unintentionally also) to animals! Yes! Even the animals had had feelings.

It was horrible. I fell on my face in shame. I saw how my acting, or not acting, rippled in effect towards other people and their lives. It wasn’t until then, that I understood how each little decision or choice affects the World. The sense of letting my Savior down was too real. Strangely, even during this horror, I felt a compassion, an acceptance of my limitations by Jesus and the crowd of Others.

During this Review, the Evil being was there. I looked at him; he was handsome, not ugly. Black hair, medium build, dressed in a brown robe w/black cord at his waist, his eyes caught my attention. They were a black void! There was no life or goodness in them. Intense in every way, his only Purpose was to possess, own, control my very Soul and make me suffer!!

I shrank back in horror. Every time, during the Review, that I erred or failed, he enjoyed it immensely. He would shout out, “THERE! See how she messed up?” He would accuse me, “Why didn’t she do better? Or help more? She ought to be punished!”

I was desolate. My few, little good works didn’t and couldn’t measure up to God’s perfect standard. I deserved any punishment I got. My soul was desolate. I lay dreading what would happen. – Alexa H. (nderf.org)

Another really fascinating account is told by Howard Storm with his near death experiences. He has had visitations to hell, Heaven; met with angels, demons, Jesus Christ and has had his whole life uprooted from a professor of arts to a Christian minister.

Visitations to hell and encounters with demons are not that common, but have been experienced. And interestingly, in order to escape these demonic entities, calling out to Jesus/God and looking toward the light has rescued them.

If only we can enact that on Earth; turn from our sins and start treating each other with kindness. After all, it seems as if that’s what the heavenly beings are trying to teach us.

I’m sure you’ve seen by now what one of the main purposes of our life is. As of this paragraph, I have already used the word “love” 35 (well, now 36) times. And I haven’t even gotten to this part yet! Another thing to mention, I did not go out of my way to search for this word. This is what showed up naturally while searching for excerpts that fit in which each theme.

So why IS love so important? Why is that such a focus of nde’s? Why does Jesus preach this in the Bible?

A lot of near death experiences seem to try to give us insights into this powerful force.

Bronwen C.

Suddenly I was no longer in this room, but facing an enormously tall angel. Surrounding both of us was radiant light. I knew this angel, and he knew me. I felt no fear, only joy and immense happiness.

We communicated non-verbally. The angel was ‘reminding’ me of the power of LOVE that was actually THE power of the universe. It seemed that I already knew this, but ‘he’ was just reminding me. – Bronwen C. (nderf.org)

Katherine L.

I had deep respect and reverence for these beings. I felt that they loved me completely and without any judgment. In psychology there’s a term to describe this called ‘unconditional positive regard.’ I felt completely sure that they had this feeling for me. This surety felt like a warm glow of light around me.

The conclusion of these conversations was that it wasn’t so much a decision of doing the ‘wrong’ thing in situations, or making unwise choices, but that the times of greatest challenge for me were times in which I could have acted but chose inaction.

It was concluded that when I returned to earth, I must choose action and use my experiences and feelings to guide these actions so that they be an act of love. – Katherin L. (nderf.org)

Melinda G.

I learned that everything we do matters. Even the person you smile to on your way to the bakery or work. Even the creatures big and small that you bend over to pet. Nothing goes unnoticed. It all matters. My purpose is to stand up for the meek, to be compassionate, but most of all is to love. Melinda G. (nderf.org)

Then I began getting an information download. There was no talking, just information going into me with absolute love. It was very clear, very loud, and very certain, that We are ALL VERY IMPORTANT TO GOD. We are all deeply, deeply loved by God and that Life is suppose to be hard but that it is some sort of proving Ground for God to create him.

The message was that our lives are deeply important to God and to the existance of the universe. Our Love we have and the love we cultivate on earth, especially for people we have a hard time liking, that love somehow expands the universe and does some very important things.

I felt that there was something at stake, that we have a very important job to do. Human Beings are beloved and our choice in how to act is given to us to prove God. I don’t know how to describe it, I am trying hard to explain it here but it’s hard to explain. It may take my lifetime to explain what I learned.

IN this place we go to, we will have lightness, laughter and joy, and our soul family is there waiting for us. Our jobs on earth are to find out how to break through all these illusory walls everywhere that we erect to hide who we are. We need to really love each other and love ourselves.

I felt as though there was a sense of humor too. I was like a deep appreciation for our lives and even for our failures. We are suppose to learn from our failures and not beat outself up over them. We find a way to forgive and love ourselves because in reality, in the real place of creation, there is only Love. It seemed the message was that if we couldn’t find a path to love, then we are destroying something very very precious. – Heather V. (nderf.org)

During your experience, did you gain information about the meaning of life?

Yes We are here to learn how to truly love one another. When we have learned how to love each other, we get to move forward. I am not sure if this means reincarnation until we get it right or what but the answer to life is love one another. Tonja BB (nderf.org)

Mary Jo Rapini

“Then God asked me… He said ‘let me ask you one question’. ‘Have you ever loved another person the way you have been loved here’. The love I had received in that time was so overpowering… I had never felt anything like it so I answered God honestly. I said, ‘No…it is impossible…I am just a human, you are God’. He gave me the illusion of a sweet protective chuckle. He then said, ‘Mary, you can do better’.” – Mary Jo Rapini (the-formula.org)

There is so much important information about love that many near death experiences talk about. The majority of them saying that it is the most important thing in the universe.

I wrote a whole post just on “love” and, trust me, I could’ve written a whole book on this one topic.

Now, one thing I have to bring up. The Bible quote from earlier: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” This quote is taken from Mark 12, but did you know that Jesus seemed to have changed this commandment? In John 13, he now says:

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
John 13:34

Did you notice any significant changes?

As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Jesus’s love is completely unconditional. This new commandment is telling us that no longer should we love our neighbors as ourselves, because our love as we know it isn’t sufficient. It is sad, but true. Most of us don’t know how to love unconditionally. When we love someone or something, we expect love in return. This is not what true love is all about.

And this is what Jesus is trying to teach us. Everyone is deserving of love. And completely true, unselfish, genuine love would not expect anything, nor exclude anyone.

Imagine if this force was practiced on every single person on the planet. Instead of hate, greed, pride, power… we actually care about and truly love our fellow human beings. What would our world be like?

And here we get to the Master Plan.

Chris Batts

“One time, my angels gave me specific messages on humility. Being humble is being strong enough to accept imperfections in yourself and in others.

The first key to humility is to appreciate what people do for you. Tell people how important they are to you. Tell them you love them. They just may need to hear it at the exact time that you are around. Don’t hold back.

Next, respect people’s views, no matter what their backgrounds, races, or religions. Even if you disagree with an opinion, understand that there is always a reason why people act or think the way they do. No one is perfect. If we were perfect, we would be boring.

The last key to being humble is forgiveness. Continue to do good to people even when they screw you over. The best way to kill hate is to love someone. Just because someone is a certain way does not mean you have to be the same way. You don’t have to be bigger but you have to be smarter and wiser.

Show love. Hate will come back to you if you show hate. Misery is the result. That is no way for anyone to live.” – Chris Batts (ndestories.org)

“I was shown that we were at a crossroads. I experienced this in 1968. I was told there would be an unemployment growth that would spread across the globe. Everything was flourishing at the time.

I was told about a plague that would spread all over the world. And I was shown everything that could happen on Earth if we didn’t change — and this ‘if” is of critical importance. It’s our piece of freedom in a way.

I was shown that things are unfortunately happening these days, as earthquakes, environmental issues, tsunamis, etc. But what I saw, and what worries me the most, is the emergence of unbelievable violence. This violence scared me. We are all somehow responsible for it.” – Nicole Dron (the-formula.org)

May, James & Rashad

The guides taught us that doctrine and creed and race meant nothing. No matter what we believed we were all children joined under one God, and that the only rule was God’s true law — do unto others as you would have them do unto you. We should treat all people as if they were a part of our soul because they were. All living things in the universe were connected to one another.

They said that soon humanity would mature enough to assume a higher place in the universal scheme of things, but until then we must learn acceptance and tolerance and love for each other. They said there would come a new age when people would not be able to endure seeing others homeless and hungry. We would realize that only by helping each other could we truly help ourselves. – May, James & Rashad (the-formula.org)

There is a great need for healing and love in this world and if we are willing to be conduits of that love, lives can be transformed. The angels were the point at which my consciousness completely changed. I like to think that many other people’s realities have shifted in beautiful ways as they became more aware of their light, their connection to Source, and their ability to heal and create a more positive future for themselves and their loved ones while on their educational journey.

I am grateful every day for the life I returned to after my near-death experience. I am no longer limited in my thinking, but I am connected to a universe of love that wants to be brought into this world in large and small ways. We can all do our part to bring in this love in all of our interactions with others. – Tricia Barker (ndestories.org)

[...snip...] The way that I want you to change the world is by loving the person you are with. Wait a minute, that’s a contradiction. You want me to change the world but you just want me to love the person I’m with? Yes, that’s the plan; that’s The Big Plan… If you love the person that you’re with, then they will go out and love the person that they’re with, and they will go out and love the person they’re with and it will be like a chain reaction and love will conquer the world and everyone will love one another. That’s God’s Big Plan. - Howard Storm (the-formula.org)

“All it takes to make a change was one person. One person, trying, and then because of that, another person changing for the better. They said that the only way to change the world was to begin with one person. One will become two, which will become three, and so on. That’s the only way to affect a major change.” Howard Storm (near-death.com)

Is the world changing?

Sometimes it may not seem like it. There is still violence, war, hatred, racism, etc.

But with more and more awareness, and love and compassion, I truly believe that the world is changing for the better. It’s very heartening to see more videos coming out about people’s experiences; more testimonies with people no longer afraid to share their accounts; and an increase in people’s interest to “wake up” and look around to see what’s really going on in the world.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:12

Dark forces are trying to bring us down, away from the light and love. But God, Jesus, the Heavenly host, they are trying to bring us back.

Can you imagine a world without love? How dark, sad, violent, and lonely it would be? If some people grow up without love, just imagine the horrors and corruption they must have suffered through.

We all need love, even our worst enemy. And this is what Jesus Christ is trying to teach us. We can change the world, one person at a time.
