I have never delved too deeply into the Jewish religion and the Talmud, but something compelled me to look into this religion a little more closely in order to try and better understand the world around us.
So far, from what I’ve seen, I feel like my whole world has been turned upside down because I didn’t realize A LOT of what this religion entails. And why it seems to be the main focal point for a lot of people – whether it’s animosity towards Jews, or animosity from [certain] Jews towards everyone else.
With that being said, I have no biased inclinations on this matter, and am looking at all of the information I come across in an objective manner. While yes, I am astounded at some of the facts I’ve come across, I also know that automatically entertaining knee-jerk reactions will not help anyone and instead causes further divide.
Therefore, this post will mostly be comprised of interesting tidbits/facts/information that I’ve come across that hopefully shed some important light on this topic. I can’t guarantee that there will be any semblance of organization in this post, because it will more than likely be me talking (writing?) out loud and trying to connect some of the pieces together.
I’ve decided to divide this into parts since it would be impossible for me to address everything into one single post. If you have further insights and knowledge/research/information on this topic, then I would love it if you’d share it with me. I always love hearing other’s perspectives on these subjects; it also helps gives me a broader understanding of other’s beliefs and cultures.
