You Are Much More Than You Realize | But You Need to Believe It

What do you believe in? Do you REALLY believe it?

I don’t normally write opinionated or speculative pieces on this website; usually I try and provide informational articles or transcripts, or a collection of important subjects to consider, etc.

However, this is also incredibly important and I was due for some serious reflection when considering human nature and its connection to energy/vibration/frequency/etc.

I come across a lot of theories that our thoughts form the world around us. If that’s the case, then would a worldwide focus on disease and sickness literally create this mindset that we’re all in? Would a collective consciousness, mainly focused on one thing, bring it to being?

There’s so much to unravel when diving into this subject, and of course I’m not going to come to a clear-cut conclusion, because I have no professional knowledge about metaphysics or quantum mechanics, but I do want to bring up the topic just for deliberation.

Imagine all of the influences that shape your view of the world today. Imagine how you thought of the world when you were younger. Is the stark difference (if any) between the two due to knowledge and experience, simply growing up and learning more about the world around you? Or was it due to outside sources shaping your feelings, emotions, thoughts, patterns? (A combination of both? A nature versus nurture/parental/societal upbringing?)

Let’s take this website, for example. Am I unknowingly feeding into the negativity, fear, chaos, confusion, low-vibration energies that I would like humanity to rise out of? By comprising a lot of the articles with negative topics – granted due to wanting to inform readers of the events that are going on around us – I can’t help but feel as if I’m contributing to spreading the anxiety, fears, panic, etc.

This is not my intention, but the sentiment remains.

There is also the fact of the matter that there are studies that people are naturally drawn to “bad news” rather than good news. Sure it could be from a tendency to be aware of our surroundings and be alert so that we can know what actions to take, but one could also argue that this isn’t the case because of the lack of action to prevent or change these certain things from happening. So then the question becomes, why are we drawn to negativity instead of seeking the positive?

Perhaps a twisted curiosity of the chaotic events surrounding us? A slight obsession to keep ourselves informed of all the bad/evil things occurring in the world, yet offering little to no action to counteract it? As it is, there are some groups coming together to raise awareness of several political attempts to impose unnecessary rules and mandates, which does help, but what about the others who remain in their state of un-acknowledgment, or even worse, complicity? Then when considering those who are fully aware of what’s going on, yet maintain a defeatist position, or an apathetic one, the struggle to see the positive outcome can get overwhelming.

If the world is indeed composed of energy, frequency, vibration, thoughts, then by constantly focusing on the negative aspects and collectively indulging these thoughts, it creates an endless cycle of fear, division, emotional distress, etc. that keeps us in this lower state of energetic frequency/mentality.

If our world does indeed stem from our belief system, creating the trap that essentially enslaves us, then wouldn’t it be prudent to set our beliefs and thought patterns away from all of this evil and negativity, and instead direct it towards hope, faith, love and forgiveness?

Some may scoff at this idea, but there could be understandings that bring this theory to interesting reflection, if only one would expand their thinking and entertain these thoughts without the need for completely believing them.

Take, for example, the “paranormal” aspects of tulpas, poltergeists, placebos/nocebos, and similar concepts. History and studies dictates that these are within the realm of possibility, if not having already been established.

What Is a Poltergeist?

Then, in a somewhat similar vein as poltergeists, there are cases where a person’s energetic force, if that’s what it is, causes disturbances to electrical objects.

Are You A Slider? The Phenomena of High Energy People Causing Electronics to Go Haywire

I myself have had experiences with appliances going haywire during certain times in my life. I can’t attest that it’s due to my conscious/subconscious/unconscious state, or that it was even directly through me. But it is fascinating and questionable when certain objects respond to a specific person’s close proximity, compared to those of other people.

There is also the matter of vibrational frequencies. Some people experience vibrations during meditation, or even when having out of body experiences. Again, I have first hand accounts of this phenomena, not only from out of body experiences, but also from a vibrational test, of sorts. I fully believe that the more spiritually developed we are, the higher and stronger our vibrational frequencies get. Staying in a state of despair, depression, anger, fear, etc. will keep us in a lower state of frequencies.

Feeling Vibrations During Meditation: Here Is Why!

Now, with all that being said, why do I feel as if our beliefs/thoughts play a significant role in the life that we’re in?

Well, I’m going to go back to one of the most widely known manuscripts/books in history. To the Bible.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [overcome] comprehend it.
John 1:1-5

What are words, spoken aloud? It’s sound. What is sound? It’s a vibrational frequency.

“A sound is a form of energy, just like electricity, heat or light. Sound is one of the important senses of the human body. Some sounds are pleasant, and some are annoying. We are subjected to various types of sound all time. Sound waves are the result of the vibration of objects.”What is Sound? – Characteristics of Sound Waves, Propagation Of Sound

“The Word of God” could then be re-written to state “The Vibration of God”. There are also scientific studies into “light” and its definition being of an energetic wavelength – similar to that of sound.

Now, getting back to the Bible, I want to focus on the belief/faith aspect of its teachings.

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:8-9

The above passage combines both vibrational sound frequencies (speak aloud your faith) with the belief (conscious thoughts) of one’s heart in Jesus Christ.

One has to wonder, why is “belief/faith” such an integral part of the biblical/Godly narrative? If our own belief constructs can make us sick through “nocebos”, or well with “placebos”, just by believing in the concept of side effects or cures, then what would a belief in a divine presence accomplish?

Likewise, if one wants to entertain the opposite side of the fence, what would a deeply held belief in demons, ghosts, negative entities, accomplish? There are many who practice witchcraft, sorcery, satanic rituals, paganism, etc. who have alleged to experience supernatural events. The same can be said of some followers of Jesus and of different religions, but seeing the current situation we have today, one has to wonder if there is a deliberate concerted effort to endorse other religions and practices while simultaneously denouncing Christianity/Jesus Christ for a specific reason.

If there are fewer and fewer people who believe in Jesus Christ, while I, personally, think that each person will have their own independent time of atonement, the whole world will either experience chaos (similar to the situation we find ourselves in right now), or depending on if more and more people choose to believe in Jesus, the world will slowly wake up out of this “worldly/materialistic” system and focus instead on the light/vibration of Truth and Love.

I have researched this for a very long time. While I may not have necessarily put my knowledge into practice until recent years, this information has been one that all roads lead to. And I want to make something completely clear. While there are many who do not believe in Jesus and instead are agnostic, or polytheistic, completely atheist, etc. – here is what I understand – [this is my opinion only based on the research and experiences that I’ve had]:

Jesus IS Love. He is the personification of Love.

I realize there are debates about this concept and that there are instances where Jesus expresses his outrage (fig tree/money changers) and while I’m not going to pretend to understand completely the motivations behind it, I will say that Love is not without its reprimands. I love my son whole-heartedly, but that doesn’t mean I won’t scold him or punish him if he does something out of line. I can’t explain Jesus’ outrage at a fig tree, but it’s not my place to judge.

So what does this all have to do with our beliefs/thoughts/energy/etc.? Well, Love in itself is an energy – emotional/vibrational energy. And if Jesus is Love, then it is akin to saying if we believe in Jesus, we believe in Love. We can also turn it around and say that if we believe in Love (pure, divinely-inspired Love – not the twisted “love” that some people try and justify their actions with), then we believe in Jesus Christ – even if we don’t realize it.

One last passage from the Bible that I want to make mention of (in which there are many centering around this topic) is the pure belief in what Jesus Christ can do.

In Mark 5, Jesus can be seen casting out a Legion of demons from a possessed man. There are a few key takeaways that I want to address.

1.) Even the demons that were being cast out believed in Jesus Christ and His power.

2.) A woman later comes up to Jesus, and just from her belief in Him alone, gets cured from a long-suffering ailment:

25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years.
26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.
27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak,
28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”
29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. 30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” 31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ” 32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.
33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth.
34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”
Mark 5:25-34

3. The verse: “At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him.” is very telling. This ‘power’ isn’t spoken of in a metaphorical way. It is quite literal. And it indicates that it’s this power that healed the lady. But it’s only because she believed. The question then becomes, what would have happened if she didn’t believe? Would nothing have happened to her? Would the power have remained in Jesus Christ and not been able to go into the unbeliever? Would it have been her own mental blockade preventing Jesus Christ from curing her?

One could also turn this around and ask if it would have mattered if it’s Jesus’ belief that He can cure anyone; surely He could even if they don’t believe. So why does it seem to be a requirement that they believe, first?

In a somewhat similar topic, there are many who have had a near death experience who come back allegedly from the ‘other side’ with the full belief that they are cured from their sickness/accident – even if the doctor doesn’t believe them – and true to their belief and/or after their experience, they are somehow miraculously cured:

Near-Death Experience Reveals Secret to Rapid Healing
Miraculous NDE Healings

So to end on that, what is my purpose for creating this article? We should be aware, yes, of the unsavory events going on in the world – and take action to help our fellow human beings make the right decisions regarding them – but we also should not let the negativity of these events become our focal point and drag us into a state of despair.

Many times I have thought about simply giving up and letting humanity do what it will in regards to the state of the world. Those who are awake, are awake, although they have the choice to go back to sleep – those who are not awake, have the option to wake or forever remain asleep. Perhaps attempts at waking those who are still asleep are going against the frame of free will. Perhaps there is a time and place for everyone and eventually everyone WILL wake up, whether in this life time or the next.

But that divine spark that is within all of us is what I cling to, and what I would like to do is at least plant the seed that there is something much more to life than we can ever imagine; and if our thoughts are indeed creating the world around us, then it would benefit us to focus more on the positive, loving aspects of humankind, the kindness and compassion we have, rather than the darker counterpart. And just as importantly, remember who we are, what we are, and what we’re capable of.

Thank you for reading, I love you all. God bless.

Fact checking is extremely important. I want to reiterate not to take everything at face value; no matter what you read, where you read it from, or who you hear it from. And to be clear, do not rely on “fact checking” websites to give you accurate information either. These are just as likely, (if not even more likely…), to feed false information and false debunking accounts to manipulate the reader. Please take everything into consideration before adhering to a certain narrative – and always keep your mind open to other possibilities.

Media Addiction – Does Media Affect Our Thoughts? pt. 3

Think you think for yourself?
Well, think again.

When I was younger, I used to think that all the people that claimed that violence on t.v., movies, music, etc. made on impression on us, were ridiculous.

I ardently believed that people were conscious enough to come to their own decisions and thought patterns, and ridiculed those that speculated otherwise.

Perhaps that was me jumping on the bandwagon of mocking the alleged “conspiracy theorists”. Calling them crazy and uninformed.

Well, who's laughing now?

(Well, I suppose it’s no laughing matter, but at least I’ve finally come to the realization that I was wrong.)

Before I delve in, what do you think? Are you here on this page because you believe the same thing? Or are you here because you think it’s a ridiculous concept like I once did?

Disclaimer: This website promotes love, kindness and compassion. However, in order to strive towards that, we must also expose the negativity surrounding us on a day to day basis. This post delves into some dark material that we should be aware of in order to guide us towards a better future.

Expanding Awareness Relations

If you’ve read my previous posts: How do we Find the Truth? and When News Media Lies, you already know about the levels of deception and manipulation that these “sources” have propagated to the population. (With the help of the CIA, I might add.)

So is it that much of a stretch to contemplate on this idea?

If that’s not enough of a reason, I will be addressing other points that might provide a little more insight into this kind of “mind control” programming.

Welcome to the 3rd part of this series “Does Media Affect Our Thoughts” – “Media Addiction”.

Link to part 1 – Violence in Entertainment
Link to part 2 – Propaganda in the Media

Slave to Social Media?

If you’ve had any foray into the social media blowout, I think most of us can admit, at some point in our life, that we have been reeled in by the “glamour” and whirlwind of a social media online presence.

I had a brief bout of this on a few media platforms. I won’t say the names of them (a couple of them were popular forums – some, not some well-known), but during that brief time even I could feel the pull of the social media attraction and allure.

And, perhaps surprisingly, I don’t have a facebook account. I refuse to get one, as a matter of fact. But I think with as many people who do have one know, the appeal of getting views and comments and likes can be quite euphoric. Just having the positive feedback can boost one’s self-esteem.

However… on the flip side, not getting any comments or views, or getting a lot of dislikes (or no likes/dislikes in general), negative feedback… can have a detrimental effect. This particular topic will be covered more later in this post when I address depression and anxiety.

But to continue with the slave-type addiction to media, what are your thoughts? Do you, personally, feel as if you’re addicted? Do you see your friends, families, classmates, etc. fallen victim to this scenario?

A common theme I see is when everyone (and I mean, absolutely everyone) in a particular area is on their phone. Perhaps you’ve seen the same situation. Unless you were eyes-deep into your phone as well.

With everyone distracted by their phones, if anything important happened around you, would you know?
Most of us own a phone, or a tablet, laptop... all of the above, even. But can we make the conscious decision to put these devices away to appreciate the world around us, and make actual personal connections?

Personal Experience

I know one that has happened to me, personally, was 3 years ago, while sitting in the DMV, with about 15 other people. I AM NOT LYING when I say that EVERY SINGLE PERSON was on their phone. It honestly felt like I was sitting in a movie and slowly coming to the realization about what a hold the media has on us. It was eerie. And it reminds me of this very profound saying:

“We have never been more connected; yet never so alone.”

Now this alone doesn’t mean we’re addicted, necessarily. Right?

You’re right. But some of these other examples are a somber look into this very real dilemma:

This site: psychologytoday.com asks some very important questions to evaluate one’s use of social media:

    • Do you spend a lot of time thinking about social media or planning to use social media?
    • Do you feel urges to use social media more and more?
    • Do you use social media to forget about personal problems?
    • Do you often try to reduce your use of social media without success?
    • Do you become restless or troubled if you are unable to use social media?
    • Do you use social media so much that it has had a negative impact on your job or studies?

If you feel as if you are having problems with being addicted to media, social or otherwise, then don’t fret. Thankfully, there are many steps you can take to reduce the pull that technology has on us. From the same site, they list several ways you can come to terms with this addiction: “Top Tips for a Digital Detox: 12 ways to help you cut down on your technology use

Here are a couple of very nice reads into a self-reflected awareness of their social media addiction, and their efforts to curtail it:

Social Media Addiction: A Personal Story – Erin C.
How Social Media Is Affecting Our Focus – Jamie Eiland

Interestingly, The Social Dilemma (Netflix film which came out just a month ago) covers this topic, which features several people that have worked (or still work) at big tech industries, such as Facebook, Google, Youtube, Pinterest, Tumbler, as well as others. Even they, the creators and designers of some of these addictive programs, are against their own creations; urging the viewer to reduce their screen time and realize that there are many ways that we are being manipulated. Many even confess that they refuse to let their children on to social media; at least until they reach an acceptable age.

Be Aware

I have to add a precaution to this film; there are many aspects to it that I agree with, however, there are also a few to me, that I view as a red flag. Namely that of when they mention “conspiracy theories” – again, casting it in an unflattering light – a very common tactic of manipulation, and a couple of situations pertaining to this. Please be very discerning about these kinds of topics. The film itself mentions fake news and how easy it is to fall for something that’s not necessarily true, thanks to all the deception and lies that are deliberately enforced to push a certain agenda/propaganda, yet seem to turn around and do the same thing. Attempting to “debunk” certain topics. Again, I ask that you be aware of any ways that you may be coerced or manipulated into believing a certain narrative.

Other than that unfortunate addition to the film, it did seem to touch on a lot of subjects that are a very real problem in our social media age. And it does raise an important subject to be discerning, because certainly, not every “conspiracy theory” is true, but there are alarmingly many that have been proven to be true.

25 Conspiracy Theories That Turned Out to be True – (Another sad fascinating fact, 23 out of 25 of these “theories” involve the government (most from the US)).

Where Does the Time Go? (and the moral ethics?)

Perhaps some people still don’t think an addiction to media is that bad. Or maybe people are just making it a big deal.

Well….. take a gander at the link below (or not… it is a harsh and cruel reality check into some of the atrocities going on around us) and tell me if people are just blowing this out of proportion. These are tragic and horrific accounts of people choosing video games/media over real life people (including themselves):

15 Bizarre Deaths Caused by Video Gamestheclever.com. Some devastating accounts due to media addiction from this site (visit the link for a full list):

  • “In 2010, a South Korean couple ended up spending so much time raising their digital baby, in turn neglecting their real life baby, who ended up dying of prolonged malnutrition.”
  • “In 2007, a Chinese man engaged in an unknown online video game for three consecutive days at an internet café.” … “fixated on the computer for 72 hours straight, the man finally dropped dead out of exhaustion.”
  • “17 year old, Daniel Petric, shot his parents because they wouldn’t let him play Halo 3. He allegedly shot both of them in the head, instantly killing his mother. His father survived. – kotaku.com
  • “October 2010, Alexandra Tobias was playing Farmville … and she got so addicted that she apparently forgot that she had a three-year-old son. Her attention was taken back to reality when her son cried out of hunger, and instead of feeding her child, she responded by shaking him to death…”
  • “In the fall of 2007, according to his mother, Shawn Woolley killed himself as result of a lack of socialization and detachment from reality caused by endless hours of playing EverQuest.”

This site mentions 3 video gamers that regret their decision to allow video games to pull them into their addictive grip:
Video Games Ruined My Life: 3 Gaming Addiction Stories – healthyplace.com

There are many more events attributed to video games, especially, but also media in general. And as you may have noticed, the articles I’m making on this topic don’t just mention “social” media, but “media” as a whole. That can range from anything as social, internet use, television, movies, video games, etc.

How many times have you caught yourself on a binge-watching marathon? Or scrolling through the internet/on facebook/youtube? How many times do you check your phone for notifications, text messages, emails, forum posts?

While all of these aren’t necessarily bad things, per se, the habitual time sink it proposes definitely is. Which is why it’s important to be aware of how much time we really are spending on these different platforms. I find myself occasionally going on binge-watches, spending way too much time on youtube (although admittedly a lot of times I’m on there for research) and checking email for communication.

The important thing is moderation. Once we’re aware of how much time we’re losing to these different arenas, the better chance we have to come back from that and consciously choose to spend time more efficiently, and essentially.

Sadly, sometimes these addictions to different media platforms disable us from focusing on real life situations: work, school, relationships, raising our own kids… As we saw with some examples above, the decision that some people have taken to choose technology over other people, is a scary and serious look into the hold that media can have over us.

Porn and Gambling Online

We’ve already covered some topics detailing the horrible situations that have erupted due to media addictions. But we haven’t even covered media addictions in conjunction with other addictions, such as porn, gambling, and shopping. (Yes, shopping.)

In this day and age, with everything so readily available to us through the internet, the instant gratification mode that many people have is more prevalent than ever. And that’s not a good thing.

Instead of us appreciating what we already have, the constant push of “more and better” things that the internet poses to us keeps us in a state of always wanting more. Many are unhappy with what they already have and instead are continually searching for ways, in their mind, to improve their quality of life. Not realizing that material items are not going to make them happy, but being there for their loved ones (and friends and strangers), will.

What kind of satisfaction do we get when we watch porn, or gamble, or buy material things? A temporary one, if that. And more often than that, if one has moral decency, guilt and shame as well.

So not only do we have the issue of spending money (and/or time) on temporary gratifications, we also have to deal with the remorse that comes after that. Now with everything, moderation is key. I’m not here to condemn anyone who chooses to do these hobbies. Although some I do feel could be eroding our conscious (and conscience) and creating a negative cycle that’s hard to get out of. But if you do feel guilt and shame, then it may be a sign to start pursuing something else.

Some helpful links that dig a little deeper into this dilemma:

So why are these hobbies so damaging to our lifestyle? Well, they’ve been known to cause, in some people: divorce, financial problems, child neglect, and crimes (sometimes even all of the above). I guess one can come to the conclusion that just about anything could result in these sad situations, and while that may be true, the focus is on this topic to show the damages it can create.

Social Anxiety / Depression

The culmination of all this evidence into media addictions has boiled down to one interesting connection: higher rate of anxiety and depression.

In every single subject covered in this series, people have experienced an increase in depression, anxiety, relationship strains, and in some tragic cases, even suicide. This has been especially true in today’s children and young teens/adults – in which media/technology started becoming a prominent part of society.

Excerpts are shown detailing just some of the psychological difficulties that have arisen due to media addictions from a few of the topics covered above:

  • “They explained BSD (buying-shopping disorder), and particularly the online form, can cause a loop of extreme cravings for buying things and satisfaction when spending money. This can then lead to a breakdown in self-control, ‘extreme distress’, other psychiatric problems, relationship difficulties and physical clutter and debt.” – dailymail.co.uk

  • “Research has shown that there is an undeniable link between social media use, negative mental health, and low self-esteem. While social media platforms have their benefits, using them too frequently can make people feel increasingly unhappy and isolated. These negative emotional reactions are not only produced due to the social pressure of sharing things with others, but also the comparison of material things and lifestyles that these sites promote.” – addictioncenter.com

  • “Research shows that 97% of Americans 12 to 17 years old play video games, and as many as 23% of gamers of all ages show signs of addictive behavior. According to the WHO, these signs include impaired control over gaming and “continuation or escalation of gaming despite the occurrence of negative consequences.” And these repercussions can be seen in a person’s personal relationships, career, schoolwork, or daily life. Gaming disorder also puts people at greater risk for other detrimental issues, including:

    • Depression
    • Anxiety
    • ADD/ADHD
    • Sleep disturbances
    • Irritability
    • Bad moods
    • Fatigue
    • Fearfulness
    • Suicidal thoughts

Recognize When to Seek Help

Unfortunately, because media plays such a huge part in today’s societal norms, (case in point – my 7 year old son had to get a gmail account for school… I, personally, was not too happy with that idea), the delicate issue of people’s personal habits is something that has been ignored for far too long.

Ultimately, this should be a collaborative effort between the tech industries and the adults in charge of themselves, and especially their children, to monitor these kinds of behaviors and work towards a common solution to educate ourselves of these addictive dangers, and become consciously aware of our choices and the decisions we make. Because we can’t rely on the tech industries (after all, it has been admitted that their job was to create these programs to be as addictive as possible), then it is up to us, individually, to make the right choice and break away from this harmful lifestyle.

If you feel as if you are suffering from anxiety, depression, frustration, anger, suicidal thoughts, or anything of the like, please seek help. There are numerous support groups and phone lines that can help assist you in addressing these issues.

Disclaimer: Expanding Awareness Relations shows these links as a resource for your perusal. I take no responsibility or credit on the ability of these sites to help or hamper one’s addictive behavior.

The FOMO (fear of missing out), “dopamine hits”, social interactions (whether it’s positive or negative), etc. can all contribute to an addictive behavior of the media. Once we can recognize it and address these factors in our lives, the better self-aware we can be and more thoughtful in our actions – leading to a healing and recovery of our mind, body, and soul; and, equally as important, our relationships.

Social media = social distancing? (no, not the coronavirus “social distancing”)

If we keep allowing the media to rule our lives, the possible end result is actually quite terrifying; a literal unplugging us from life and reality, and plugging us into a virtual reality that separates us from each other more than ever before.

With the ever-looming advent of powerful AI, is our future heading towards some kind of technological dystopia? We may laugh, now, at the “silly” prospect of having a real life “Terminator” or “Matrix” on our hands, but with the terrifying onslaught into the Internet of Things, microchipping, virtual reality agenda, it is honestly a serious proposal we must consider.

Are we okay relying even more heavily into all these tecnological advances? Or will we finally realize that a return to nature (in it’s pure, uncorrupted form), is the best way for society to move forward?

In part 4, I discuss the media experiments that have taken place; starring “us”, the unwitting user. In part 5, I cover the issue of data mining our information (and our minds).

Stay tuned. (no pun intended)

Near Death Experiences

What is the purpose of near death experiences?

I’ve researched this topic due to some past experiences I’ve had. And the insight and messages that near death experiences are trying to teach us is something SO important, SO significant, that I absolutely had to write a post about it.

I’ll be going over some of the more essential messages that I believe these experiences are trying to show us. I will be excited when people start searching for ways and reasons to better themselves and the world, and think we can all learn a valuable lesson in these people’s testimonies.

One counter argument about this phenomena, is that it’s not biblical. So others warn people to be careful with these messages.

In some cases, I agree. After all, when we’re dealing with people’s accounts, we have to be discerning and come to a well-adjusted and unbiased opinion. However, on the other side of the coin, how do we know these accounts aren’t biblical? Is there anything in the bible that will support, or condemn this theory? Or perhaps not mention it at all?

With more researching and investigating, perhaps this answer will come to light. At the time, there is still so much material in the Bible and other sources to go through. But in the meantime, my personal opinion, due to testimony gathering and my own experiences and reasoning, have ultimately decided that it really just depends.

I know. Not really the definitive answer anyone was looking for. But when it comes to matters of the metaphysical, can anyone really say, for sure, that one thing is unequivocally, absolutely, positively, without a doubt, undeniably this one certain way?

If we’re being honest with ourselves, the answer is “no”. So all we really have to go on are our beliefs, experiences, and our interpretations.

With this in mind, I’d like to present some fascinating insight into some very important aspects of the near death experience.

Topics that are addressed (click on the link below to navigate the page):

Revelation - People experiencing essential visions.
Life Review - How did you live your life?
Spiritual Encounter - Incredible meetings with transcendent beings.
Love - One of the key messages from near death experiences.
Changing the World - Is this what nde's are trying to show us?
'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."
Acts 2:17

I won’t go into too much details about the biblical studies into near death experiences, but wanted to highlight the above quote. This points out to what amounts to some largely held debates of who can prophesy.

Some ministers and scholars say that modern day prophets don’t exist (unless they’re false prophets). But according to Acts 2:17, this is not entirely true. But how do we even define “prophet”? In Acts 2 it doesn’t say “prophet”. It just says that sons and daughters will prophesy, not that they are or have become “prophets”. And is a person considered “once a prophet, always a prophet?”

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy...All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines”
1 Corinthians 12:7-12

Notice how the bolded text mentions “a message”, singular. Not messages, plural. Same with the word prophecy. It is singular. Not “prophecies”.

So wouldn’t it be just as likely that the Holy Spirit comes down and gives certain people certain messages (or a certain message) in order to help spread God’s word?

With those considerations in place, here are some interesting examples of some people's "revelations" about our future...

The following excerpts are from near-death.com. Please visit the website for more information.

Howard Storm

In Howard Storm‘s book, My Descent into Death (2000), he describes the future of mankind as given to him by light beings he encountered during his NDE in 1985. Storm wrote how they told him, in 1985, that the Cold War would soon end, because:

“God is changing the hearts of people to love around the world.” Storm states, “Since the time in 1985 when I was told these things about the future the Cold War ended with little bloodshed due to the hearts of people being unwilling to tolerate oppressive regimes.”

Howard Storm - (cont.)

Storm also described what the light beings told him concerning the way things will be on earth in about 2185. He asked the light beings the question: “Will the United States be the leader of the world in this change?” The light beings replied:

“The United States has been given the opportunity to be the teacher for the world, but much is expected of those to whom much has been given. The United States has been given more of everything than any country in the history of the world and it has failed to be generous with the gifts. If the United States continues to exploit the rest of the world by greedily consuming the world’s resources, the United States will have God’s blessing withdrawn. Your country will collapse economically which will result in civil chaos.

Because of the greedy nature of the people, you will have people killing people for a cup of gasoline. The world will watch in horror as your country is obliterated by strife. The rest of the world will not intervene because they have been victims of your exploitation. They will welcome the annihilation of such selfish people.

The United States must change immediately and become the teachers of goodness and generosity to the rest of the world. Today the United States is the primary merchant of war and the culture of violence that you export to the world. This will come to an end because you have the seeds of your own destruction within you. Either you will destroy yourselves or God will bring it to an end if there isn’t a change.”

Elaine Durham

The seat of power will move away from Washington, D.C because there will be so much turmoil and warfare on the eastern side of America. America will come to the very edge of destruction because Americans have chosen to seek worldly things rather than loving or serving others, and because they refused to care for their precious natural resources, and because their greed and selfishness. The U.S. government will lose most of its power and no longer govern completely and lawlessness will reign on the eastern side of America as well as tremendous anarchy and crime.

There will be less turmoil on the western side of America and even a certain amount of prosperity. A new seat of power will rise near present-day Kansas City. From this location, a true spiritual force will become the governing power over the whole land — a power such that emanates from Christ.

George Ritchie

The world will grow more peaceful – both humanity and nature.
Humans will not be as critical of themselves or others.
Humans will not be as destructive to nature.
Humans will begin to understand what love is.

The examples I gave above were but a mere introduction to this topic; since there are a ton of testimonies that relay prophetic revelations.

It’s interesting that a lot of nde’s focus on the state of the world and how we’re growing increasingly more corrupt and greedy. The desire for material possessions consumes a lot of people, unfortunately. And our inconsideration for each other, and nature, may very well be our downfall. Nde’s seems to serve as a warning for us to change our ways, or something dire will happen.

Thankfully, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. As some near death experiencers recall, there is a way to reverse all this damage. George Ritchie, Howard Storm and many others mention in their near death experiences that people will change for the better. But it takes awareness, love and compassion to get there.

While reading through some people’s testimonies, I became fascinated with “life reviews”. When people go through these, most of them come out of the experience with a new outlook on life. That being, one of the reasons that we’re here is to see how we treat each other. One of the key takeaways from nde’s is that our actions affect others, sometimes in ways that we can’t even imagine.

During life reviews, we get the chance to see just how we’re affecting others. Sometimes with, quite literally, life-altering results. (Which, I’d imagine, is the point.)

The testimonies below provide a perfect example of “walking in someone’s shoes”.

Oliver John Calvert

He also saw what he had done to others — how he had made them think and feel. Now, he felt it, experiencing the “fear intimidation, neglect, sarcasm, harsh criticism, coarse jokes, ridicule. I saw their faces and I felt what I had put them through, at that point. I was made to feel everything and it came all at once.” – Oliver John Calvert (spiritdailyblog.com)

Laura M.

My life flashed before me; a life review was in order. When it was over, my head was hung in shame for He had seen it too. I was not happy about many, many of my actions. Then, in awe, I turned to Him asking, “How can you still love me so completely after witnessing my many sins?”

“You are a child of God,” He said, “and God Is Love. I see you purely as Love.” – Laura M. (the-formula.org)

Kimberly Clark Sharp

When the woman was a little girl, she saw a tiny flower growing almost impossibly out of a crack in the sidewalk. She bent down and cupped the flower and gave it her full unconditional love and attention.

When the girl became a woman and had an NDE, during her life review she discovered that it was this incident with the flower that was the most important event of her entire life. The reason was because it was the moment where she expressed her love in a greater, purer, and unconditional manner.

This example of a life review by Kimberly Clark Sharp is one of my favorite examples because it shows in a dramatic way a principle that appears in many life reviews. The principle is that the actions we think are unimportant may turn out to be the most important act we have ever done in our life. Unconditional and spontaneous acts of love are the greatest acts we can perform – even if it is directed at a tiny flower. – Kimberly Clark Sharp (near-death.com)

Carter Mills

Carter Mills saw himself when he was a child and killed a mother bird with a sling shot. At the time, he was so proud of that shot; but during his life review, he felt the pain that the mother bird’s babies went through when they starved to death. – Carter Mills (near-death.com)

Rick R.

Then without warning, it happened! ‘What have you done with your life?’ The voice penetrated my very being! I had no answer! Then to my right I saw what seemed to be like a movie; and I was in it! I saw my mother giving me birth, my childhood and friends! I saw everything from my youth up! I saw everything I had ever done before my eyes!

As my life played out before my very eyes, I tried to think of good things I had done. I was raised in church and had been very active in church functions, yet as I pondered on this, I saw a man in his car that had ran out of gas. I had stopped and given him a lift to a local store about a year ago. I had bought him some gas as he had no money and helped him get on his way!

I thought to myself, why am I seeing this? The voice was loud and clear. You took no thought to help this soul and asked nothing in return! These actions are the essence of good!

I saw all the people I had hurt as well and was shown how my actions had set in motion the actions of others! I was stunned! I had never thought of my life having an effect on the actions that friends, family, and others I had met would take! I saw the results of all I had done! I was not pleased at all! I looked on until the events ended. Indeed, I had done so little with my life! I had been selfish and cruel in so many ways! I was truly sorry I had done so little. – Rick R. (nderf.org)

Betty Eadie

“Then I saw the disappointment that I had caused others, and I cringed as their feelings of disappointment filled me, compounded by my own guilt. I understood all the suffering I had caused, and I felt it. I began to tremble. I saw how much grief my bad temper had cased, and I suffered this grief. I saw my selfishness, and my heart cried for relief. How had I been so uncaring?

Then in the midst of my pain, I felt the love of the council come over me. They watched my life with understanding and mercy. Everything about me was taken into consideration, how I was raised, the things I had been taught, the pain give me by others, the opportunities I had received or not received. And I realized that the council was not judging me. I was judging myself. Their love and mercy were absolute.

I was shown the ripple effect, as they described it. I saw how I had often wronged people and how they had often turned to others and committed a similar wrong. This chain continued from victim to victim, like a circle of dominoes, until it came back to the start – to me, the offender. The ripples went out, and they came back. I had offended far more people than I knew, and my pain multiplied and became unbearable.”

Betty Eadie - (cont.)

“Then he showed me the reversed side of the ripple effect. I saw myself perform an act of kindness, just a simple act of unselfishness, and I saw the ripples go out again. The friend I had been kind to was kind in turn to one of her friends, and the chain repeated itself.

I saw love and happiness increase in others’ lives because of that one simple act on my part. I saw their happiness grow and affect their lives in positive ways, some significantly. My pain was replaced with joy. I felt the love they felt, and I felt their joy, and this from one simple act of kindness. A powerful thought hit me, and I repeated it over and over in my mind:

“Love is really the only thing that matters”.

Betty Eadie (near-death.com)

It’s interesting to note, during our life reviews, it is usually not any divine beings passing off judgment on us. They simply present our life to us, and we end up going through the emotions and feelings of the other person (or nature). And it affects us so deeply – since it is an experience that we don’t normally have on Earth.

Empathy seems to be a foreign concept to a lot of people. So to be suddenly hit with it in such a large dose, and then realizing that it was YOU who caused all the hurt and pain others have gone through, is such an eye-opener and profound epiphany. The awareness one gleans from this is bound to make a significant impact on their life.

And for those who refuse to believe that consciousness can exist outside of a human mind/body/soul, near death experiences would beg to differ. Even a tiny plant can feel love and reciprocate. Same with animals.

Perhaps life reviews are to teach us humility, empathy, and awareness; that our actions affect everything in remarkable ways.

Many people claim to see divine beings while having a near death experience.
Angelic beings? Jesus Christ? People claim to see many different heavenly beings while having a near death experience.

Image by Karin Henseler from Pixabay

So now we get to the various entities that people have claimed to encounter. This ranges from angelic beings, to different deities from many different religions/cultures, to saints, to even God Himself. One well known entity many have claimed to have met is Jesus Christ.

Now, I did raise the issue earlier about whether nde’s are biblical. And it is a very important question for a lot of people. Some without a religious background accept the idea of nde’s without a qualm. Those that do believe in the Bible have their reservations. And there are other Christians that believe in it whole-heartedly.

This is where discernment is extremely important. Yes, we want to make sure the messages we’re receiving is not an attempt to mislead, so we do want to be consciously aware and question these sources.

For the majority of nde testimonies, it’s clear that the message they deliver is one of love and treating each other with kindness. This is an exact teaching of Jesus Christ. That was one of His main commandments:

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:30-31

This is just one example of how I think it would help to discern a near death experience. If it teaches love and compassion, that seems like a good indicator. There are some stories that I do feel uncomfortable with …so I always want to encourage everyone to pray, use their best discernment, and stay aware.

Below are some amazing testimonies of people’s encounters with divine beings from “the other side”.

Jeffrey C.

I saw a man in a robe who was about 40 years old with a trimmed beard and a balding head. I thought he looked like a monk, and wondered to myself if this was Judas. After a long time, my eyes began to burn so badly, I finally decided that it was worth it to put up with the bad flashes if I could just close my eyes for a while. I began to sob quietly as the flashes of my evil ways rushed in, and I heard a voice. It said, ‘If you ask him, maybe he will save you.’ I thought to myself, ‘How?’ The voice said, ‘Say it. Say the words, Jesus Christ my savior in heaven, please save me.’ I said the words out loud. The voice said, ‘ Again’ and so I said it again, and again, and again. The screaming stopped, and then the flashes stopped. It was silent.

As I looked up, I saw a man sitting in a giant stone chair. There was a silver-winged creature next to him who had a helmet with wings on it. There was a woman on his left. She had some very old men behind her. We were on a platform in space, but the stars were eyes instead. I realized that this was Jesus and the creature on his right was the angel of the lord, and woman on his left was The Blessed Virgin Mary. I can only guess that the old men had to be Abraham, Moses, or one of those important people; maybe the disciples Peter, Paul, or someone. Jesus had a look of disappointment on his face that touched me to my soul and made me feel so ashamed.

The Angel of the Lord said, ‘Tell our lord what brings you here.’ I began to explain that I felt that the world was not a fair place and I didn’t want to be a part of it anymore. He looked at me as if I was crazy and asked, ‘Who told you it was going to be a fair world?’ I really didn’t understand.

Jeffrey C. - (cont.)

I found myself back on the platform before Jesus. The Blessed Mother asked me what I thought of what I learned. I told her I thought it wasn’t right that I had to put up with people hurting me, that Jesus was suppose to protect me, and if I was going to go back that I wanted him to make it right. He looked at me and said, ‘My son, I can not cause pain to another, I can only heal those who are broken.’

With the arrogance of youth, I tried to pull the old ‘I want to talk to the manager’ routine and demanded to talk to God. The Blessed Mother said, ‘You can not ‘see’ God.’ Jesus spoke up and said, ‘No one can see God.’ The blessed mother was angry and told me to kneel before this great healer and ask forgiveness. I knelt down. I could feel the great disappointment and astonishment at my arrogance.

I began to weep, and Jesus ask, ‘Do you know why I saved you from the pit of purgatory?’ I replied, ‘No’. He said, ‘Remember the old man, the one you thought was Judas? This showed me that you believe, you truly believe.’ I realized at that moment that Jesus was with me, and had been with me the whole time. He was always with me, throughout everything that has happened. And my belief means way more than I had ever realized. He saw something in me that even I did not see. I began to weep so badly that I was frozen there on the floor with my head in my hands and crying uncontrollably. – Jeffrey C. (nderf.org)

Sheila S.

And then I turned around and all sudden I see Jesus! BAM! It hit me so hard with His love! It just knocked me down! And I knew right away who it was. There was no doubt who it was. It was Jesus! And I fell down on my knees because the love that was coming from him was so intense that I couldn’t even stand up.

I remember before dying, that a long time ago, I was told that ‘No man could stand before Jesus or God.’ I thought, ‘Well, why would that be?’ I mean, ‘Would He beat you down or something?’ I never understood why they would say that. Now I know why; it is because his love is so mighty, that I can’t even describe it. This love is so intense that I could not stand because it just knocked me over.

Anyway, I’m on my knees and I’m looking at Him like I was ashamed, with my hands over my face and peeking up at Him. I don’t want to look straight at Him because He was looking at me with so much love. I didn’t feel worthy of it. I don’t know why I would feel that way because I’m not bad person. – Sheila S. (nderf.org)

What I know to be the energy of Angels greeted me with the tenderest warmest energy. I felt embraced by them. They morphed into billowy forms and surrounded me. Their hearts glowed radiating and pulsing with light of vibrant colors. From my heart which glowed dimly as well, I could sense, feel, and hear telepathically.

I sent an energy wave from my Higher Heart to the heart of the energy of the angels. They sensed I had a question for them. I sensed it was okay for me to send them my questions. From my glowing heart waves, I asked them if what I was experiencing was real.

The angels responded telepathically that their realm was real. I then asked them if I was there with them if that meant that I was dead. They responded telepathically that my body died so my soul or Higher Heart was visiting them.

For the first time since I arrived, I felt fear, like I had known in the earthly realm, form within my Higher Heart. They responded to my fear instantly by dissolving it for me. I felt embraced by their energy. I sensed that legions of energy beings with the most subtle presence were sending me comfort. – Marueen K. (nderf.org)

These amazing encounters show that although we may not have led exemplary lives on Earth, the beings are still encouraging us with a never-ending love. Some people have also mentioned that they reunited with loved ones that have passed away, that are trying to teach them the art of love and kindness as well.

And it has to be said, along with Jesus Christ, God, angels, saints, etc., some people have also encountered the “not so savory” characters.

These are accounts of people confronting demons, evil spirits, and even satan.

Howard Pittman

When we started the tour of the second heaven, the angels began by showing me the different types of demons. Each demon was revealed to me in a form that indicated his area of expertise, and I soon discovered that there is no such thing as a “general practitioner” in all the demon world. The demons are all experts in their fields. They have only one area of expertise which they do very well.

“At one time during this tour of the second heaven, I watched the demons within their own related group and I experienced an awful feeling. It was an overwhelming, oppressive, and morbid feeling. This feeling came to me shortly after I had entered the second heaven and I wondered what was causing it.

It was at this time that I learned that the angels could read my mind because my guardian angel said to me, “That feeling you are wondering about is caused by the fact that there is no love in this world.” The angel was telling me that in this second heaven there is not one bit of love!

Wow! Can you imagine all of those demons serving a master they don’t love and the master ruling over beings that he doesn’t love? Worse than that, their companions are working together for an eternity and they do not even love each other. – Howard Pittman – (howardpittman.com)

Charles T.

I sensed evil around me and even though I thought I could move about, I froze because of fear. I thought I was alone until I saw three demon like figures standing by my feet and talking in three different languages.

I was laying on a cold slab in a dark chamber of what I found out later to be Hell. While the demons were talking and looking down at me, there was a tiny light coming from behind them and I could see their silhouettes. They were about three to four feet high with skinny bodies, arms, and legs.

The light behind them was getting bigger and closer so I quit looking at the demons and concentrated on the light. Because of an earlier experience in my life, I knew the light to be Jesus Christ. He engulfed me in His light and took my spirit and soul out of Hell. He replaced them in my physical body in order to live again. – Charles T. – (nderf.org)

Alexa H.

EVERYTHING I ever thought, did, said, hated, helped, did not help, should have helped was shown in front of me, the crowd of hundreds and everyone like a movie.

How mean I’d been to people, how I could have helped them, how mean I was (unintentionally also) to animals! Yes! Even the animals had had feelings.

It was horrible. I fell on my face in shame. I saw how my acting, or not acting, rippled in effect towards other people and their lives. It wasn’t until then, that I understood how each little decision or choice affects the World. The sense of letting my Savior down was too real. Strangely, even during this horror, I felt a compassion, an acceptance of my limitations by Jesus and the crowd of Others.

During this Review, the Evil being was there. I looked at him; he was handsome, not ugly. Black hair, medium build, dressed in a brown robe w/black cord at his waist, his eyes caught my attention. They were a black void! There was no life or goodness in them. Intense in every way, his only Purpose was to possess, own, control my very Soul and make me suffer!!

I shrank back in horror. Every time, during the Review, that I erred or failed, he enjoyed it immensely. He would shout out, “THERE! See how she messed up?” He would accuse me, “Why didn’t she do better? Or help more? She ought to be punished!”

I was desolate. My few, little good works didn’t and couldn’t measure up to God’s perfect standard. I deserved any punishment I got. My soul was desolate. I lay dreading what would happen. – Alexa H. (nderf.org)

Another really fascinating account is told by Howard Storm with his near death experiences. He has had visitations to hell, Heaven; met with angels, demons, Jesus Christ and has had his whole life uprooted from a professor of arts to a Christian minister.

Visitations to hell and encounters with demons are not that common, but have been experienced. And interestingly, in order to escape these demonic entities, calling out to Jesus/God and looking toward the light has rescued them.

If only we can enact that on Earth; turn from our sins and start treating each other with kindness. After all, it seems as if that’s what the heavenly beings are trying to teach us.

I’m sure you’ve seen by now what one of the main purposes of our life is. As of this paragraph, I have already used the word “love” 35 (well, now 36) times. And I haven’t even gotten to this part yet! Another thing to mention, I did not go out of my way to search for this word. This is what showed up naturally while searching for excerpts that fit in which each theme.

So why IS love so important? Why is that such a focus of nde’s? Why does Jesus preach this in the Bible?

A lot of near death experiences seem to try to give us insights into this powerful force.

Bronwen C.

Suddenly I was no longer in this room, but facing an enormously tall angel. Surrounding both of us was radiant light. I knew this angel, and he knew me. I felt no fear, only joy and immense happiness.

We communicated non-verbally. The angel was ‘reminding’ me of the power of LOVE that was actually THE power of the universe. It seemed that I already knew this, but ‘he’ was just reminding me. – Bronwen C. (nderf.org)

Katherine L.

I had deep respect and reverence for these beings. I felt that they loved me completely and without any judgment. In psychology there’s a term to describe this called ‘unconditional positive regard.’ I felt completely sure that they had this feeling for me. This surety felt like a warm glow of light around me.

The conclusion of these conversations was that it wasn’t so much a decision of doing the ‘wrong’ thing in situations, or making unwise choices, but that the times of greatest challenge for me were times in which I could have acted but chose inaction.

It was concluded that when I returned to earth, I must choose action and use my experiences and feelings to guide these actions so that they be an act of love. – Katherin L. (nderf.org)

Melinda G.

I learned that everything we do matters. Even the person you smile to on your way to the bakery or work. Even the creatures big and small that you bend over to pet. Nothing goes unnoticed. It all matters. My purpose is to stand up for the meek, to be compassionate, but most of all is to love. Melinda G. (nderf.org)

Heather V.

Then I began getting an information download. There was no talking, just information going into me with absolute love. It was very clear, very loud, and very certain, that We are ALL VERY IMPORTANT TO GOD. We are all deeply, deeply loved by God and that Life is suppose to be hard but that it is some sort of proving Ground for God to create him.

The message was that our lives are deeply important to God and to the existance of the universe. Our Love we have and the love we cultivate on earth, especially for people we have a hard time liking, that love somehow expands the universe and does some very important things.

I felt that there was something at stake, that we have a very important job to do. Human Beings are beloved and our choice in how to act is given to us to prove God. I don’t know how to describe it, I am trying hard to explain it here but it’s hard to explain. It may take my lifetime to explain what I learned.

IN this place we go to, we will have lightness, laughter and joy, and our soul family is there waiting for us. Our jobs on earth are to find out how to break through all these illusory walls everywhere that we erect to hide who we are. We need to really love each other and love ourselves.

I felt as though there was a sense of humor too. I was like a deep appreciation for our lives and even for our failures. We are suppose to learn from our failures and not beat outself up over them. We find a way to forgive and love ourselves because in reality, in the real place of creation, there is only Love. It seemed the message was that if we couldn’t find a path to love, then we are destroying something very very precious. – Heather V. (nderf.org)

During your experience, did you gain information about the meaning of life?

Yes We are here to learn how to truly love one another. When we have learned how to love each other, we get to move forward. I am not sure if this means reincarnation until we get it right or what but the answer to life is love one another. Tonja BB (nderf.org)

Mary Jo Rapini

“Then God asked me… He said ‘let me ask you one question’. ‘Have you ever loved another person the way you have been loved here’. The love I had received in that time was so overpowering… I had never felt anything like it so I answered God honestly. I said, ‘No…it is impossible…I am just a human, you are God’. He gave me the illusion of a sweet protective chuckle. He then said, ‘Mary, you can do better’.” – Mary Jo Rapini (the-formula.org)

There is so much important information about love that many near death experiences talk about. The majority of them saying that it is the most important thing in the universe.

I wrote a whole post just on “love” and, trust me, I could’ve written a whole book on this one topic.

Now, one thing I have to bring up. The Bible quote from earlier: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” This quote is taken from Mark 12, but did you know that Jesus seemed to have changed this commandment? In John 13, he now says:

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
John 13:34

Did you notice any significant changes?

As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Jesus’s love is completely unconditional. This new commandment is telling us that no longer should we love our neighbors as ourselves, because our love as we know it isn’t sufficient. It is sad, but true. Most of us don’t know how to love unconditionally. When we love someone or something, we expect love in return. This is not what true love is all about.

And this is what Jesus is trying to teach us. Everyone is deserving of love. And completely true, unselfish, genuine love would not expect anything, nor exclude anyone.

Imagine if this force was practiced on every single person on the planet. Instead of hate, greed, pride, power… we actually care about and truly love our fellow human beings. What would our world be like?

And here we get to the Master Plan.

Chris Batts

“One time, my angels gave me specific messages on humility. Being humble is being strong enough to accept imperfections in yourself and in others.

The first key to humility is to appreciate what people do for you. Tell people how important they are to you. Tell them you love them. They just may need to hear it at the exact time that you are around. Don’t hold back.

Next, respect people’s views, no matter what their backgrounds, races, or religions. Even if you disagree with an opinion, understand that there is always a reason why people act or think the way they do. No one is perfect. If we were perfect, we would be boring.

The last key to being humble is forgiveness. Continue to do good to people even when they screw you over. The best way to kill hate is to love someone. Just because someone is a certain way does not mean you have to be the same way. You don’t have to be bigger but you have to be smarter and wiser.

Show love. Hate will come back to you if you show hate. Misery is the result. That is no way for anyone to live.” – Chris Batts (ndestories.org)

“I was shown that we were at a crossroads. I experienced this in 1968. I was told there would be an unemployment growth that would spread across the globe. Everything was flourishing at the time.

I was told about a plague that would spread all over the world. And I was shown everything that could happen on Earth if we didn’t change — and this ‘if” is of critical importance. It’s our piece of freedom in a way.

I was shown that things are unfortunately happening these days, as earthquakes, environmental issues, tsunamis, etc. But what I saw, and what worries me the most, is the emergence of unbelievable violence. This violence scared me. We are all somehow responsible for it.” – Nicole Dron (the-formula.org)

The guides taught us that doctrine and creed and race meant nothing. No matter what we believed we were all children joined under one God, and that the only rule was God’s true law — do unto others as you would have them do unto you. We should treat all people as if they were a part of our soul because they were. All living things in the universe were connected to one another.

They said that soon humanity would mature enough to assume a higher place in the universal scheme of things, but until then we must learn acceptance and tolerance and love for each other. They said there would come a new age when people would not be able to endure seeing others homeless and hungry. We would realize that only by helping each other could we truly help ourselves. – May, James & Rashad (the-formula.org)

There is a great need for healing and love in this world and if we are willing to be conduits of that love, lives can be transformed. The angels were the point at which my consciousness completely changed. I like to think that many other people’s realities have shifted in beautiful ways as they became more aware of their light, their connection to Source, and their ability to heal and create a more positive future for themselves and their loved ones while on their educational journey.

I am grateful every day for the life I returned to after my near-death experience. I am no longer limited in my thinking, but I am connected to a universe of love that wants to be brought into this world in large and small ways. We can all do our part to bring in this love in all of our interactions with others. – Tricia Barker (ndestories.org)

I’m like, OK, you shot down my idea, what’s you’re idea of what would I do? And he said, love the person that you’re with. And I said, OK, great, I’ll do that. No problem. What do you want me to do? He said, I just told you what I want you to do: love the person that you’re with. And I said, Yeah, but after I do that, what do you really want me to do? No, that is what I want you to do: love the person that you’re with. I said well, that’s simple enough, that’s easy, I can do that. And he said, oh really. Well, that’s what I want you to do. That’s enough. And I said, how is it enough? He said, if you do that, you’ll change the world. [...snip...] The way that I want you to change the world is by loving the person you are with. Wait a minute, that’s a contradiction. You want me to change the world but you just want me to love the person I’m with? Yes, that’s the plan; that’s The Big Plan… If you love the person that you’re with, then they will go out and love the person that they’re with, and they will go out and love the person they’re with and it will be like a chain reaction and love will conquer the world and everyone will love one another. That’s God’s Big Plan. - Howard Storm (the-formula.org)

“All it takes to make a change was one person. One person, trying, and then because of that, another person changing for the better. They said that the only way to change the world was to begin with one person. One will become two, which will become three, and so on. That’s the only way to affect a major change.” Howard Storm (near-death.com)

Is the world changing?

Sometimes it may not seem like it. There is still violence, war, hatred, racism, etc.

But with more and more awareness, and love and compassion, I truly believe that the world is changing for the better. It’s very heartening to see more videos coming out about people’s experiences; more testimonies with people no longer afraid to share their accounts; and an increase in people’s interest to “wake up” and look around to see what’s really going on in the world.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:12

Dark forces are trying to bring us down, away from the light and love. But God, Jesus, the Heavenly host, they are trying to bring us back.

Can you imagine a world without love? How dark, sad, violent, and lonely it would be? If some people grow up without love, just imagine the horrors and corruption they must have suffered through.

We all need love, even our worst enemy. And this is what Jesus Christ is trying to teach us. We can change the world, one person at a time.
