Humanity Is Under Attack

Not just physically, but spiritually as well.

While many suspect that the coronavirus is, in fact, a biological warfare set against the population, that’s not the only thing us humans have to worry about.

No, I’m talking about the battle for your soul. And I’m being completely serious.

For some reason, perhaps because everything has been building up and now my “spiritual” eyes are open, I see a potential agenda in everything. And it all culminates as a hidden force, literally coming for your soul.

What am I talking about?

I’m talking about the normalization of – well, everything.

People will try and pass these subjects off as “art” or “artistic expression”, or as a means of “tolerance” and “acceptance”, or as a way to respect those with different beliefs, but LET ME MAKE THIS PERFECTLY CLEAR.

This is JUST a psychological manipulation tactic to get you to fall in line and be lenient with your own values and morals, even though every fiber in your being knows it’s wrong. It is a form of “gaslighting” to make you question your own reality and that everything is not as bad as it seems.

No, it’s not as bad as it seems. It’s WORSE.

Because we’ve been so compliant and “accepting”, we’ve allowed insane, terrible, awful impressions upon our fellow people – and especially our children. Below, we’ll take a look at just some of these normalization techniques that are damaging not only the human mind, but our spirit.

1. Exploiting Children

Many people may already know of the movie Cuties, which Netflix aired on its platform for several months before finally pulling the plug.

And thank goodness.

Yet, if you notice, if you look up the Netflix/Cuties controversy on a search engine, you may notice how MANY of the headlines are trying to downplay why the movie was so controversial to begin with. Stating that it was merely the director’s biography of what attracted her to the “dance troupe” to begin with.

This is a CLASSIC manipulation technique to make you question why the topic was so serious to begin with. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS TACTIC. It is deliberately created again to make people question themselves and their own views.

Thankfully, the Change.org petition against this egregious scheme garnered tons of support, stating the following:

“Petitioners say the film exploits children. “The movie ‘Cuties’ shows children dressed provocatively, dancing sexually and is rated only for adult viewers,” reads their post on Change.org. “It was created for the entertainment of adults who are pedophiles. Please sign the petition to protect our children from exploitation in movies.”Netflix’s ‘Cuties’ slammed for ‘sexualizing’ little girls

And that begs the question, why are people putting their children on display in this type of “dance” team and acting roles to begin with?

2. Normalizing pedophilia/sexuality in children

Continuing on with the subject of children, because that’s who a lot of these corrupt agencies are aiming at, we have the blatant sexualization of children – this time taking a look at Planned Parenthood.

There’s many more different avenues for this topic, however, but this one specifically looks at what Planned Parenthood is teaching/training your children on what to do.

It is highly disturbing, and speaks to the manipulation that Monica Cline herself went through to get her (and perhaps many other team members) on board with their program. Honestly, after hearing her speak on what they were training her to TEACH the children, they should all be arrested. It is an obvious technique in directing young children to having sex.

Why?

So Planned Parenthood can perform more abortions – thus making a business off of the tragic situations that young children are deliberately put in – by the very same company.

Says Monica Cline:

“Teach me how to teach girls not to have sex,” Cline implored.

No, dear!” her trainer said. “We’re not going to teach them not to have sex. We’re going to teach them how to do it safer.”

She told Cline that anything less would be “judging” youth for their choices.

But Cline initially trusted Planned Parenthood, thinking its “experts” knew best.”
Former Planned Parenthood Sex Educator: We Pushed Sex on Kids to Sell More Abortions

The WHO, another “expert”, is also pushing to sexualize young children, EVEN FROM BIRTH.

Disgusting WHO “guidelines” on how to corrupt our children from infancy.

There is nothing normal about teaching this perverted, depraved ideology onto ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KIDS. The images in this book are so bad that even Facebook removes its content from its platform. Research the contents at your own risk.

Explicit sex ed book causes controversy at Oregon elementary school

All of this is unquestionably sick, and twisted and I am honestly flabbergasted that there is not more outrage at these absolutely terrible, corrupt companies. Especially one WHO is also the director of the coronavirus situation.

3. Worshiping Satan

Aside from all the obvious Illuminati symbolism that we can see everywhere, we’re also inundated with Satan and demon worshiping merchandise everywhere we look.

We have Lil Nas X, who has raised controversy with his satan sneakers – which is claimed to have a single drop of human blood in each of the 666 sneakers… and the Montero video depicting him performing a lap dance on Satan.

– Nike/MSCHF/Lil Nas X collab – (NOTE: there is debate as to whether Nike was directly involved in this kind of modification – the truth is yet to be seen)

I know, I know, it’s just for “publicity” and “show”, right? Trying to be edgy and remain in the spotlight?

Or how about Netflix (again) advertising their movie “The Prom”, with the words “Praise SATAN” flashing across the screen.

Netflix tells us to praise Satan! (Only the beginning)

Not only did Netflix advertise to “praise satan”, but they also depicted Jesus Christ, not only as a gay character in the Brazilian comedy film “The First Temptation of Jesus Christ”, but also as a female lesbian who engages in carnal relationships with another woman in “Habit“.

Let’s not forget our very Christian pope/Vatican, who allowed a statue of Molech to greet the visitors at the Colosseum:

The Vatican Places Giant Statue of Molech at Colosseum Entrance – Perfectly normal, right? It’s only the deity known for demanding child sacrifices sitting in front of the Roman Colosseum (known for the ritualistic killing of Christians), opening his arms for a great big hug to the masses. What’s the problem? It’s just a graven image “art”.

And what about this spin on demonic summoning – now geared for children! Nothing can go wrong there, right? It’s not like it’s deliberately conspiring to get children interested in summoning entities from the dark realm in order to “help” them with their every day life – thus giving them a push into the occult to practice in real life once they get older and more acclimated to calling on these spirits…

But it’s all in good fun, right?

“A Children’s book of demons” by Aaron Leighton – “A Children’s Book of Demons” Teaches Children How to Summon Demons

No, sadly, this is not satire. I’m being completely serious when I say that all of this is very specifically propagandized in order to get the public into accepting these outrageous ideas – and whatever else they choose to push onto the population.

When are we going to finally admit that all of this blatant satan worship is deliberately meant to steer humanity down this wicked path – while nonchalant, blind, (perhaps scared) deniers continuously decry this agenda as nothing but “for the lulz”?

4. Cannibalism – tastes like chicken

Don’t quote me on that. I actually don’t know if human flesh tastes like chicken.

But many celebrities and others involved in this highly taboo fetish might. Just ask Armie Hammer, who has been accused earlier this year of his extremely questionable lifestyle and “kinks”.

WARNING: graphic material – Armie Hammer, Cannibalism and the Sickness of the Elite

The jury is still out on this one (although, with the coverups and corruption that go on in courts – specifically designed to protect those with financial stability or elitism, I wouldn’t be surprised if this whole situation gets swept under the rug…) but just going through some of Armie Hammer’s DMs and past tweets shows a very dark and disturbing fascination with not only human body parts, but also violent rape fantasies.

And as we often see when a person of “high stature” is accused of any type of crime or abuse, there are people quick to defend them. However, as Armie’s own ex-girlfriend testifies:

@TheWriterJess – could not verify – twitter is set to private

Said another ex-girlfriend, model Paige Lorenze: “Lorenze said in the beginning she believed Hammer’s “weird requests were normal.” She now says she’s realized BDSM acts can create a “smokescreen for men.”Armie Hammer’s ex-girlfriend says actor ‘has a desire to hurt women’

Of course, Armie Hammer is not the only one accused of cannibalistic tendencies, as a whole slew of music stars, hollywood movie celebrities, even politicians have been suspected of this egregious act.

L.A.’s Elite Cannibal Restaurant Boasts Katy Perry, Meryl Streep, Chelsea Clinton As Members

Is this “cannibal club” real? As the doubters and paid off shills are so quick to point out, it is nothing more than a clever play on words and “of course they don’t serve human meat there, you crazy conspiracy theorists.” But as we all should be aware of by now, this gaslighting technique has been implemented by the government and media since its inception – so please be careful with automatically dismissing, or believing, any of the claims made.

5. Ambrosia – young blood infusions

This mad-science attempt is as creepy as it sounds. But throughout most of the research I’ve come across with this “start-up company”, the term “young people blood” rears its head, over and over and over again.

Um… what in the world is considered “young people”? Are you kidding me?

What do you think of with the term “young people”?

Just because this company keeps peddling the vague term “young people”, and implies that it’s of persons of 16-25 years of age, doesn’t mean that they’re not hiding behind something even more sinister. Far be it for me to insinuate, but have you seen the state of the world lately and what has been allowed to run rampant throughout the industries?

“When the undercover videos were first released, Planned Parenthood delivered a carefully-constructed script to the public and to the press minimizing their involvement in fetal experimentation — but under oath, their story changes,” Daleiden said in a statement Thursday. “Now we know that Planned Parenthood flagrantly lied to the United States Congress about the extent of its abortion clinics’ criminal trafficking in fetal body parts for experimentation.”
Planned Parenthood Lied To Congress About Selling Aborted Fetuses

This business is selling “young blood” transfusions at $8,000 per liter, and hey, you even get a discount if you buy 2 liters at $12,000.

Of course, with this amount of money, who could they possibly be aiming at? Maybe… rich old people who fear aging/dying?

And yes, along with this strange agenda, the term “adrenochrome” has made its way around the theory circles, speculating that rich elitists are engaged in not only the blood transfusions that they may benefit physically from, but also a darker look into the interesting results that come from imbibing the chemicals of a highly potent substance created when adrenaline is at an all-time high. Whether this ambrosia and adrenochrome go hand in hand, or whether it’s two completely separate “businesses”, the fact of the matter is that both of these avenues are geared towards those willing to pay for it, and those immoral enough to engage in it.

Yes. “Young blood” transfusions is IMMORAL. I don’t care where these companies say they get this blood, the fact of the matter is it is built upon greed, ego and demand, and there’s nothing worse to compel companies to adhere to this demand, then by resorting to underhanded tactics in order to get their supply.

Of course, the owner will say differently, stating, “I feel like I should say there’s nothing unusual about what we’re doing,” says Karmazin. “It’s very much a normal medical procedure.”Company injecting rich old people with young blood: “There’s nothing unusual about what we’re doing”

Huh. There’s that word again. “Normal”. Trying to convince us that it’s normal to receive blood transfusions from younger people just to make older people feel younger again. Of course, I don’t blame older people from wanting to not feel pain anymore, etc. – but the point is that aging IS normal, and to try to defy that is going against what should be our natural lifespan. And you can’t tell me that most of the people engaging in this transfusion aren’t just interested in it to take away their pain, but more because they are hoping it gives them a more youthful look. It is purely aesthetic and superficial.

6. Transgenderism

A highly controversial topic that has been in the works for years is the idea that transgenderism is perfectly normal and okay, and that we should even push this ideology onto our kids. With some in the “health care profession” even advocating this for 3 YEAR OLDS.

Uncoincidentally, one of these advocates has now been announced as the assistant secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Biden HHS Nominee Defended Subjecting Kids to Chemical Castration (Rachel Levine)

I can’t say it enough. The agendas of whatever occultist elites are behind the scenes of these plans, are initiating their purpose on the whole world, implementing those who will cater to their whim at the highest of positions.

What is the point of “transgenderism” and to get as many people on board with this insane concept of mutilating and psychologically manipulating our children to rejecting their naturally born heritage?

I believe it all stems from a worship of baphomet, the hermaphrodite diety that has both male/female anatomy.

The Satanic Temple’s Baphomet – This is a watered down version of how the baphomet is normally depicted as. The real version has female breasts in place of the male chest shown here. – Notice how the statue shows a girl and a boy looking up at it in reverence. This may be why there is a huge push to normalize transgenderism, and have it aimed at children.

The Satanic Temple Unveils a Massive Statue of Baphomet in Detroit

Now, this is not me judging people who are truly born this way. Sometimes people are indeed born with this anomaly, and this is not to take away their identity or try to label them as one way or another. They are still people and deserve love and compassion just as anybody else. And it is not my purpose to judge and accuse transgenders of being involved in this agenda. I don’t know the condition or motives of their heart, so it is not my place to judge.

No, my beef is with the push to deliberately alter another human being and “modify” them into a state in order to defy their biological birthright. Why can’t we love people for who they are, instead of trying to convince them that they need to undergo treatment in order to be accepted?

With that being said, I cannot attest to the emotional/mental aspect of people who really feel as if they were born in the wrong body. I have no experience with this subject. But to immediately prescribe someone to completely overhaul their own natural being with chemicals, surgeries, drugs, harmful concepts – especially to a young child who has a hard time picking out their favorite ice cream flavor, much less understand the huge notion of genetic makeup and their own biological identity – is an extremely destructive and dangerous endeavor. Those who are messing with DNA and hormone blocking substances can have immensely detrimental repercussions. It is my belief that those who are suffering from this sort of identity crisis may be undergoing a form of body dysphoria, and should seek psychological help – instead of diving headfirst into permanent physical (and perhaps mental) changes.

People in the healthcare field should know this, which is why I suspect that those who are pushing for this agenda are deliberately put in their position to mislead the public and convince them that it’s “science” and perfectly acceptable.

It also makes one wonder why Reddit (who is suspected of having Ghislaine Maxwell as an admin – and who was also pushing to normalize pedophilia on reddit) was keen on hiring Aimee Channelor, a transgender with a very sordid family background.

It is no accident that those in these positions were put there on purpose. It is by design, to steer public opinion.

Bottom line: it is my belief that “satan” knows that his time is coming up, and all of these agendas are pushed all at once as a final bid to get as many people on board to the wrong path as he possibly can. Everywhere we turn there is conflict and the opposite of our morality and righteousness that most of us has been taught since we were children.

Now, there is no such thing as “man” and “woman” or “boy” and “girl”, “male” / “female”, etc. (blatantly false), or a dark agenda to get us to accept taboo systems of human consumption and sacrificial rituals. They merely call it “expressions of self” and the “right to explore freedom of natural exploration”, or whatever else hogwash they label it. This is the exact mentality of the satanic Aleister Crowley’s motto, “Do what thou wilt.”

The efforts in today’s society have been overwhelming in order to corrupt our mentality and the innocence of children into accepting all of these satanic ideologies, and there are still poor lost souls that can’t see the forest for the trees – still in their stubborn and rebellious belief system that they are fighting for a more liberating and free identity.

Sadly, this is exactly the angle that these corrupt forces are aiming at, trying to convince the public that what was once right and ethically moral, is now wrong and stifling our true nature. This is the greatest deception of the highest degree – and it’s no wonder that these forces are now pulling out all the stops to highly normalize all of the once immoral and wicked traditions of the past.

I hope and pray that more and more people will open their eyes, mind and heart to the realization of what’s really going on, and stop trying to deny that this depraved agenda is running amok on our planet.

Fact checking is extremely important. I want to reiterate not to take everything at face value; no matter what you read, where you read it from, or who you hear it from. And to be clear, do not rely on “fact checking” websites to give you accurate information either. These are just as likely, (if not even more likely…), to feed false information and false debunking accounts to manipulate the reader. Please take everything into consideration before adhering to a certain narrative – and always keep your mind open to other possibilities.

Media Addiction – Does Media Affect Our Thoughts? pt. 3

Think you think for yourself?
Well, think again.

When I was younger, I used to think that all the people that claimed that violence on t.v., movies, music, etc. made on impression on us, were ridiculous.

I ardently believed that people were conscious enough to come to their own decisions and thought patterns, and ridiculed those that speculated otherwise.

Perhaps that was me jumping on the bandwagon of mocking the alleged “conspiracy theorists”. Calling them crazy and uninformed.

Well, who's laughing now?

(Well, I suppose it’s no laughing matter, but at least I’ve finally come to the realization that I was wrong.)

Before I delve in, what do you think? Are you here on this page because you believe the same thing? Or are you here because you think it’s a ridiculous concept like I once did?

Expanding Awareness Relations

If you’ve read my previous posts: How do we Find the Truth? and When News Media Lies, you already know about the levels of deception and manipulation that these “sources” have propagated to the population. (With the help of the CIA, I might add.)

So is it that much of a stretch to contemplate on this idea?

If that’s not enough of a reason, I will be addressing other points that might provide a little more insight into this kind of “mind control” programming.

Welcome to the 3rd part of this series “Does Media Affect Our Thoughts” – “Media Addiction”.

Link to part 2 – Propaganda in the Media

Slave to Social Media?

If you’ve had any foray into the social media blowout, I think most of us can admit, at some point in our life, that we have been reeled in by the “glamour” and whirlwind of a social media online presence.

I had a brief bout of this on a few media platforms. I won’t say the names of them (a couple of them were popular forums – some, not some well-known), but during that brief time even I could feel the pull of the social media attraction and allure.

And, perhaps surprisingly, I don’t have a facebook account. I refuse to get one, as a matter of fact. But I think with as many people who do have one know, the appeal of getting views and comments and likes can be quite euphoric. Just having the positive feedback can boost one’s self-esteem.

However… on the flip side, not getting any comments or views, or getting a lot of dislikes (or no likes/dislikes in general), negative feedback… can have a detrimental effect. This particular topic will be covered more later in this post when I address depression and anxiety.

But to continue with the slave-type addiction to media, what are your thoughts? Do you, personally, feel as if you’re addicted? Do you see your friends, families, classmates, etc. fallen victim to this scenario?

A common theme I see is when everyone (and I mean, absolutely everyone) in a particular area is on their phone. Perhaps you’ve seen the same situation. Unless you were eyes-deep into your phone as well.

With everyone distracted by their phones, if anything important happened around you, would you know?
Most of us own a phone, or a tablet, laptop... all of the above, even. But can we make the conscious decision to put these devices away to appreciate the world around us, and make actual personal connections?

Personal Experience

I know one that has happened to me, personally, was 3 years ago, while sitting in the DMV, with about 15 other people. I AM NOT LYING when I say that EVERY SINGLE PERSON was on their phone. It honestly felt like I was sitting in a movie and slowly coming to the realization about what a hold the media has on us. It was eerie. And it reminds me of this very profound saying:

“We have never been more connected; yet never so alone.”

Now this alone doesn’t mean we’re addicted, necessarily. Right?

You’re right. But some of these other examples are a somber look into this very real dilemma:

This site: psychologytoday.com asks some very important questions to evaluate one’s use of social media:

    • Do you spend a lot of time thinking about social media or planning to use social media?
    • Do you feel urges to use social media more and more?
    • Do you use social media to forget about personal problems?
    • Do you often try to reduce your use of social media without success?
    • Do you become restless or troubled if you are unable to use social media?
    • Do you use social media so much that it has had a negative impact on your job or studies?

If you feel as if you are having problems with being addicted to media, social or otherwise, then don’t fret. Thankfully, there are many steps you can take to reduce the pull that technology has on us. From the same site, they list several ways you can come to terms with this addiction: “Top Tips for a Digital Detox: 12 ways to help you cut down on your technology use

Here are a couple of very nice reads into a self-reflected awareness of their social media addiction, and their efforts to curtail it:

Social Media Addiction: A Personal Story – Erin C.
How Social Media Is Affecting Our Focus – Jamie Eiland

Interestingly, The Social Dilemma (Netflix film which came out just a month ago) covers this topic, which features several people that have worked (or still work) at big tech industries, such as Facebook, Google, Youtube, Pinterest, Tumbler, as well as others. Even they, the creators and designers of some of these addictive programs, are against their own creations; urging the viewer to reduce their screen time and realize that there are many ways that we are being manipulated. Many even confess that they refuse to let their children on to social media; at least until they reach an acceptable age.

Be Aware

I have to add a precaution to this film; there are many aspects to it that I agree with, however, there are also a few to me, that I view as a red flag. Namely that of when they mention “conspiracy theories” – again, casting it in an unflattering light – a very common tactic of manipulation, and a couple of situations pertaining to this. Please be very discerning about these kinds of topics. The film itself mentions fake news and how easy it is to fall for something that’s not necessarily true, thanks to all the deception and lies that are deliberately enforced to push a certain agenda/propaganda, yet seem to turn around and do the same thing. Attempting to “debunk” certain topics. Again, I ask that you be aware of any ways that you may be coerced or manipulated into believing a certain narrative.

Other than that unfortunate addition to the film, it did seem to touch on a lot of subjects that are a very real problem in our social media age. And it does raise an important subject to be discerning, because certainly, not every “conspiracy theory” is true, but there are alarmingly many that have been proven to be true.

25 Conspiracy Theories That Turned Out to be True – (Another sad fascinating fact, 23 out of 25 of these “theories” involve the government (most from the US)).

Where Does the Time Go? (and the moral ethics?)

Perhaps some people still don’t think an addiction to media is that bad. Or maybe people are just making it a big deal.

Well….. take a gander at the link below (or not… it is a harsh and cruel reality check into some of the atrocities going on around us) and tell me if people are just blowing this out of proportion. These are tragic and horrific accounts of people choosing video games/media over real life people (including themselves):

15 Bizarre Deaths Caused by Video Gamestheclever.com. Some devastating accounts due to media addiction from this site (visit the link for a full list):

  • “In 2010, a South Korean couple ended up spending so much time raising their digital baby, in turn neglecting their real life baby, who ended up dying of prolonged malnutrition.”
  • “In 2007, a Chinese man engaged in an unknown online video game for three consecutive days at an internet café.” … “fixated on the computer for 72 hours straight, the man finally dropped dead out of exhaustion.”
  • “17 year old, Daniel Petric, shot his parents because they wouldn’t let him play Halo 3. He allegedly shot both of them in the head, instantly killing his mother. His father survived. – kotaku.com
  • “October 2010, Alexandra Tobias was playing Farmville … and she got so addicted that she apparently forgot that she had a three-year-old son. Her attention was taken back to reality when her son cried out of hunger, and instead of feeding her child, she responded by shaking him to death…”
  • “In the fall of 2007, according to his mother, Shawn Woolley killed himself as result of a lack of socialization and detachment from reality caused by endless hours of playing EverQuest.”

This site mentions 3 video gamers that regret their decision to allow video games to pull them into their addictive grip:
Video Games Ruined My Life: 3 Gaming Addiction Stories – healthyplace.com

There are many more events attributed to video games, especially, but also media in general. And as you may have noticed, the articles I’m making on this topic don’t just mention “social” media, but “media” as a whole. That can range from anything as social, internet use, television, movies, video games, etc.

How many times have you caught yourself on a binge-watching marathon? Or scrolling through the internet/on facebook/youtube? How many times do you check your phone for notifications, text messages, emails, forum posts?

While all of these aren’t necessarily bad things, per se, the habitual time sink it proposes definitely is. Which is why it’s important to be aware of how much time we really are spending on these different platforms. I find myself occasionally going on binge-watches, spending way too much time on youtube (although admittedly a lot of times I’m on there for research) and checking email for communication.

The important thing is moderation. Once we’re aware of how much time we’re losing to these different arenas, the better chance we have to come back from that and consciously choose to spend time more efficiently, and essentially.

Sadly, sometimes these addictions to different media platforms disable us from focusing on real life situations: work, school, relationships, raising our own kids… As we saw with some examples above, the decision that some people have taken to choose technology over other people, is a scary and serious look into the hold that media can have over us.

Porn and Gambling Online

We’ve already covered some topics detailing the horrible situations that have erupted due to media addictions. But we haven’t even covered media addictions in conjunction with other addictions, such as porn, gambling, and shopping. (Yes, shopping.)

In this day and age, with everything so readily available to us through the internet, the instant gratification mode that many people have is more prevalent than ever. And that’s not a good thing.

Instead of us appreciating what we already have, the constant push of “more and better” things that the internet poses to us keeps us in a state of always wanting more. Many are unhappy with what they already have and instead are continually searching for ways, in their mind, to improve their quality of life. Not realizing that material items are not going to make them happy, but being there for their loved ones (and friends and strangers), will.

What kind of satisfaction do we get when we watch porn, or gamble, or buy material things? A temporary one, if that. And more often than that, if one has moral decency, guilt and shame as well.

So not only do we have the issue of spending money (and/or time) on temporary gratifications, we also have to deal with the remorse that comes after that. Now with everything, moderation is key. I’m not here to condemn anyone who chooses to do these hobbies. Although some I do feel could be eroding our conscious (and conscience) and creating a negative cycle that’s hard to get out of. But if you do feel guilt and shame, then it may be a sign to start pursuing something else.

Some helpful links that dig a little deeper into this dilemma:

So why are these hobbies so damaging to our lifestyle? Well, they’ve been known to cause, in some people: divorce, financial problems, child neglect, and crimes (sometimes even all of the above). I guess one can come to the conclusion that just about anything could result in these sad situations, and while that may be true, the focus is on this topic to show the damages it can create.

Social Anxiety / Depression

The culmination of all this evidence into media addictions has boiled down to one interesting connection: higher rate of anxiety and depression.

In every single subject covered in this series, people have experienced an increase in depression, anxiety, relationship strains, and in some tragic cases, even suicide. This has been especially true in today’s children and young teens/adults – in which media/technology started becoming a prominent part of society.

Excerpts are shown detailing just some of the psychological difficulties that have arisen due to media addictions from a few of the topics covered above:

  • “They explained BSD (buying-shopping disorder), and particularly the online form, can cause a loop of extreme cravings for buying things and satisfaction when spending money. This can then lead to a breakdown in self-control, ‘extreme distress’, other psychiatric problems, relationship difficulties and physical clutter and debt.” – dailymail.co.uk

  • “Research has shown that there is an undeniable link between social media use, negative mental health, and low self-esteem. While social media platforms have their benefits, using them too frequently can make people feel increasingly unhappy and isolated. These negative emotional reactions are not only produced due to the social pressure of sharing things with others, but also the comparison of material things and lifestyles that these sites promote.” – addictioncenter.com

  • “Research shows that 97% of Americans 12 to 17 years old play video games, and as many as 23% of gamers of all ages show signs of addictive behavior. According to the WHO, these signs include impaired control over gaming and “continuation or escalation of gaming despite the occurrence of negative consequences.” And these repercussions can be seen in a person’s personal relationships, career, schoolwork, or daily life. Gaming disorder also puts people at greater risk for other detrimental issues, including:

    • Depression
    • Anxiety
    • ADD/ADHD
    • Sleep disturbances
    • Irritability
    • Bad moods
    • Fatigue
    • Fearfulness
    • Suicidal thoughts

Recognize When to Seek Help

Unfortunately, because media plays such a huge part in today’s societal norms, (case in point – my 7 year old son had to get a gmail account for school… I, personally, was not too happy with that idea), the delicate issue of people’s personal habits is something that has been ignored for far too long.

Ultimately, this should be a collaborative effort between the tech industries and the adults in charge of themselves, and especially their children, to monitor these kinds of behaviors and work towards a common solution to educate ourselves of these addictive dangers, and become consciously aware of our choices and the decisions we make. Because we can’t rely on the tech industries (after all, it has been admitted that their job was to create these programs to be as addictive as possible), then it is up to us, individually, to make the right choice and break away from this harmful lifestyle.

If you feel as if you are suffering from anxiety, depression, frustration, anger, suicidal thoughts, or anything of the like, please seek help. There are numerous support groups and phone lines that can help assist you in addressing these issues.

The FOMO (fear of missing out), “dopamine hits”, social interactions (whether it’s positive or negative), etc. can all contribute to an addictive behavior of the media. Once we can recognize it and address these factors in our lives, the better self-aware we can be and more thoughtful in our actions – leading to a healing and recovery of our mind, body, and soul; and, equally as important, our relationships.

Social media = social distancing? (no, not the coronavirus “social distancing”)

If we keep allowing the media to rule our lives, the possible end result is actually quite terrifying; a literal unplugging us from life and reality, and plugging us into a virtual reality that separates us from each other more than ever before.

With the ever-looming advent of powerful AI, is our future heading towards some kind of technological dystopia? We may laugh, now, at the “silly” prospect of having a real life “Terminator” or “Matrix” on our hands, but with the terrifying onslaught into the Internet of Things, microchipping, virtual reality agenda, it is honestly a serious proposal we must consider.

Are we okay relying even more heavily into all these tecnological advances? Or will we finally realize that a return to nature (in it’s pure, uncorrupted form), is the best way for society to move forward?

In part 4, I discuss the media experiments that have taken place; starring “us”, the unwitting user. In part 5, I cover the issue of data mining our information (and our minds).

Stay tuned. (no pun intended)
