Luciferase (Glowing Enzyme) and “SATiN” to be Used for Vaccine Development and Tracking Vaccinated/Unvaccinated Individuals

“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled…”

I wish I was joking about the obvious allusions that “the powers that shouldn’t be” have given to their agendas, but sadly, I’m not.

Yet, countless people around the world will think it’s nothing but coincidence or just bored scientists having fun with naming substances being injected into our bodies, or being used for testing/experimenting on us.

I don’t think it’s funny. In fact, it’s downright chilling and alarming and anyone who knows anything about Revelation and the “mark of the beast” should be on high alert and be strengthening their faith in Christ and be preparing for what’s to come.

In this post, I want to show what purportedly the “global leaders” are doing in order to keep track of people who are vaccinated versus those who are unvaccinated, and the unnerving implications that all of these “coincidences” hold.

To start with, there’s a lot of talk lately that an enzyme that glows, called “luciferase” (or SM-102), is in the COVID vaccines (and perhaps other vaccines). While some pharmaceutical companies try to deny it, like Pfizer, Moderna has it mentioned quite plainly on their website under the patent list:

Along with that lovely bit of info, is another interesting correlation to the namesake that seems rife when looking into the COVID vaccine’s origins and the testing that goes along with it.

Take into consideration the following:

“The Future of SATiN”

“Researchers have developed a new test that can measure a person’s level of COVID-19 antibodies with just a prick of blood, and deliver the results within one hour.”

“The test, called SATiN (which stands for Serological Assay based on split Tripart Nanoluciferase), uses an enzyme called luciferase (the same enzyme that makes fireflies glow).”

[ https://www.verywellhealth.com/bioluminescense-glowing-antibody-testspan-5120623 ] “New COVID-19 Antibody Test ‘Glows’ When Antibodies Are Present”

[ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18687009/ ] “In vivo skin penetration of quantum dot nanoparticles in the murine model: the effect of UVR”

One, the SATiN acronym doesn’t even make sense. Where does the little ‘i’ come from? The end of “tri”? And why skip three whole words just to better fit their narrative? Seriously? Just so that it rolls off the tongue better? Then at least find a word to make it work and omit unnecessary ones… All you crazy “SATiNsts” will know what you’re talking about anyway.

Second, some of these articles aren’t really clear how the luciferase enzyme comes into play. Is it that the luciferase is already in the blood of the vaccinated individual, and that their “Serological Assay based on split Tripart Nanoluciferase” technology picks up on this and is able to determine just how much “antibodies” are present from supposedly that one drop of blood?

Does it instead imply that the test itself uses luciferase that would then glow to determine how much antibodies are present depending on the amount?

If that’s the case, is it saying that even if someone is unvaccinated and just happened to have natural antibodies to COVID (under the pretense that this is even about COVID to begin with – which it is getting more and more assured that it is NOT – at least, not in the way that we think it is…) then the SATiN test will be able to pick up on this also? Or will it ONLY work on those who have been vaccinated?

But then there are plans to “quantum dot tattoo” people (specifically kids, for some reason…) which has been admitted to using the luciferase component to identify those who have been vaccinated.

And that brings me to my next point:

Do Vaccinated People Glow Under a Blacklight?

There’s been some talk also of vaccinated individuals glowing under a blacklight. But while I have tried to find multiple different sources of this, all I could really find are the two most popular videos with a gentleman showing a glowing dot on his arm when using a blacklight over the injection site and then he shows the veins in his hand, and then there is the video with the British lady showing her glowing veins to her daughter.

The legitimacy of these two videos, while in question, should be investigated further and seen if it can be replicated, instead of just swept under the rug. Even if these two videos are fake, the possibility that vaccinated individuals could glow under a blacklight should not be automatically dismissed and instead should be addressed scientifically (meaning real science… not “fact-checked” science…).

Especially when considering that there is a phenomena of what seems to be blacklights being installed throughout several cities.

While a FOX news station reports that Duke Energy, the company that alleged to have installed these lights, claims that it is nothing more than a defect, we have to be vigilant and alert that monopoly companies, especially if they are in cahoots with the “global leaders”, will stop at nothing to initiate their worldwide tracking and tracing goals. It certainly wouldn’t stop at lying directly to the public.

Now, the question here, what use would the black lights hold unless the vaccinated individuals were already inoculated with the luciferase enzyme? While some pharmaceutical companies claim to only use the luciferase for “testing” and imply that they do not use it in their final product, are we really expected to believe a deceptive company that has already been trying to deceive the public with their use of aborted fetus cell lines?

Melissa Strickler, an ex-employee of Pfizer, has exposed emails of Pfizer’s top executives discussing how to keep news about aborted fetuses out of the public eye (and of course the msm is only too happy to play along), and Melissa also alleges that SM-102 (the luciferase enzyme) is also in the Pfizer vaccine, although the patents available to the public do not show this.

There has also been many reports about parasitic like organisms or even man-made/synthetic nanoparticles inside the vaccines as well, as well as studies that have been conducted on this very subject:

New Micrographs Reveal Graphene Oxide and Parasites in the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID Vaccine
Studies PROVE That Live Parasites and Parasite Proteins Are Being Used/Tested in Vaccines | Are Parasites the Cause of ALL Illnesses?

Now, aside from their obvious homages to “satan” and “lucifer”, we also need to be aware of their other agendas that love to use the number “666” in some capacity for their endeavors:

– “CRYPTOCURRENCY SYSTEM USING BODY ACTIVITY DATA” patent WO2020060606
(nothing suspicious there… I’m surprised they didn’t name it “SEARCHING ALL TRANSHUMANS ALTERED by NEUROSCIENTISTS” or something crazy like that…)

– Bill H.R.6666 for COVID-19 Testing, Reaching, And Contacting Everyone (TRACE) Act

– Luciferin created by dissolving it in 66.6 buffer solution

– Joe Biden’s 2020 “Battle for the Soul of the Nation” (campaign #30330 – 2020/666=3.0330)

– many barcodes uses three sixes to mark the beginning/middle/end of the numeric sequence for the product

– Carl Sanders, who worked at a company named Lucent Technologies, invented the RFID chip, which uses an 18bit name divided into 3 sections (6/6/6)

– the first Apple computer cost $666.66 – (not to mention the allegory of humanity’s first sin)

And we also have to be aware that these organizations do indeed put their faith (and money) into supporting a “one world system”, no matter how non-believing some people are.

The Pharmacy Industry – World’s Greatest Con

PHARMAKEIA Deception

“Revelation chapter 18 gives a description of the fall of Babylon and in verse 23 it gives us the reason why all nations were deceived. This may be shocking for many people. Let’s read what the Bible says. Referring to the fall of Babylon Revelation 18:23 says “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.”

By the “sorceries” of Babylon all nations were deceived. The Greek word for “sorceries” in verse 23 is “pharmakeia” [far-mak-i’-ah]. According to the Thayer Greek Dictionary “pharmakeia” is “the use or administering of drugs; poisoning; and sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it.” If you put the original Greek word “pharmakeia” in place of the English word “sorceries” the end of verse 23 would say, “For by thy pharmakeia were ALL nations deceived”! “Pharmakeia” is where we get our English word “pharmacy”! Pharmacy is a well organized and professionalized system that administers poisonous drugs. The Bible reveals that Babylon will deceive all nations by the use of pharmacy that is in connection to “magical arts” and idolatry.”

What is the Transubstantiation of the Eucharist?

Is it a form of cannibalism?

There’s been a lot of debate surrounding the transubstantiation of the eucharist, and if Catholics really believe that they’re eating the flesh of Jesus Christ, and literally drinking his blood.

The whole point (at least in some Catholic circles) of transubstantiation is to magically alter the regular piece of bread into Jesus Christ’s flesh, and the drink into His blood. To partake in and consume in order to have the life and spirit of Jesus Christ within us.

Hm… it sounds an awful lot like cannibalism to me. But to be fair, let’s take an in depth look into what actual Catholics and scholars believe is the meaning of this verse:

53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.
54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.
56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”
John 6:53-58

“So, what did Jesus mean when he spoke about eating his flesh and drinking his blood? He certainly wasn’t talking about cannibalism!

He was talking about true religion. What Jesus meant is that it’s got to be personal. Jesus was saying that you don’t receive eternal life by understand concepts or by believing the right things, but instead by a personal and intimate relationship with him. Jesus must be to us more important than our very food and drink, and closer to us than the nourishment that courses through our body that helps us to live.”
What Does It Mean to Eat Christ’s Flesh and To Drink His Blood?

So according to the site above, they believe that the eucharist is meant to be taken symbolically, and ‘of course it’s not literal!’

Another insight into the belief that the transubstantiation is symbolic can be found here, as well as many other researched sites.

But further study and insight into this mysterious tradition does indeed show that many Catholics and practitioners of this ritual truly do believe that they are literally eating the body of Christ and drinking His blood.

And on average, according to several consensus studies, about 1 in 3 Catholics fully believe in the eucharist doctrine that the host transforms into the actual body/flesh and blood of Jesus Christ, while the other 2/3 believe that it is a symbolic, spiritual essence.

Results from the Pew Research Center: Understanding US Catholics’ belief in the Eucharist

There are even scientific studies declaring some rather unusual characteristics of these consecrated hosts that have undergone a transubstantiation process:

The video above shows several scientists/doctors/researchers who have studied the host’s transformation, and even hypothesizes the tools that would be necessary to replicate such a miracle:

– Odoardo Linoli
– Fredrick Zugibe
– Franco Serafini
– Jason DeGregorio
– Eduardo Sanchez Lazo

And as you can see, the full belief and trust in this miracle is alive and well by not only the creator of the video, but also many of the viewers who have left their own comments. And again, I am not bashing anyone for their beliefs. This is an attempt for me to truly understand these miracles and what may be happening. While I am a believer of Christ, I am also somewhat of a skeptic, especially when it comes to a process that involves the literal consumption of someone’s flesh and blood.

Some of the interesting similarities between the wafers discussed in the video are:

– They were revealed to be AB blood type
– The material derived seemed to have come from the left ventricle of the heart – while it was still alive
– The heart suffered massive trauma

(I don’t know about you… but this literally makes my own heart hurt and I can’t even imagine the circumstances that were involved in order to duplicate this kind of organic tissue result…)

While it may seem that these miracles are indeed mysterious and of a divine nature (or a terribly horrific one), I have to bring up a theory that some of the “host” wafers are not merely flour and water, like most people believe. I won’t get into the gritty details, but I will mention the possibilities that can arise between a religion that may be inclined to convince the public that miracles exist, with the combination of science and the capabilities of the technological age that are quite advanced at creating fabulous “signs and wonders” that the layman may not have even dreamed possible.

(And the insane amount of effort and length that these deceivers would go to, to convince the public in order to maintain their status as the religious world leader…)

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Matthew 24:24

This is a very cautious warning for us believers, to be very discerning when it comes to anything deemed “miraculous”. I have to remind everyone that a favorite practice of satan (who is called a liar, the father of lies, and the deceiver – and who also disguises himself as an angel of light) is to invert everything good and holy into one of corruption and wickedness.

What does the Bible say about demonic/satanic miracles?

What better way to do this than to lead the followers astray by taking Jesus Christ’s spiritual/metaphorical words, and twisting them into the belief that one must literally consume His flesh and drink His blood? Which by today’s measure, could be deemed as a cannibalistic, ritualistic custom. After all, if we read outside of the Bible and take a peek into the Book of Enoch, it states that one of the reasons why the great flood happened at all is because the nephilim (offspring of the fallen angels) gave in to the consumption of human flesh and all sorts of wicked tendencies.

(referring to the giants/nephilim) 3. Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them,
4. the giants turned against them and devoured mankind.
5. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood.
6. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.
Book of Enoch 7:3-6

On August 18, 1996, a woman parishioner allegedly found a consecrated host on a candle holder and brought it to Fr. Alejandro Pezet. After a few days of leaving the host in the tabernacle to dissolve, found that it had been transformed into a bloody tissue that was much larger than the original host. It was then photographed and sent for scientific study by none other than our current Pope Francis (Jorge Bergoglio).

The Eucharistic Miracle Overseen by Archbishop Bergoglio (Now Pope Francis)

Just as an added bonus, here are some questionable quotes from Pope Francis himself:

Pope John Paul II was a saint, I am the devil.”
“having a personal relationship with Jesus is dangerous and very harmful.”

– Pope Francis Says: “I Am The Devil”

“Joking” or not, these are pretty serious statements coming from the head of the Roman Catholic Church…

Here’s another extremely controversial quote, from Pope Francis:

“‘Yes, I carry the cross to show that I am a Christian.’ ” And “It’s fine,” but “not just as a badge, as if it were a team, the badge of a team’; but [rather], said Francis, “as the memory of the man who made himself sin, who made himself the devil, the serpent, for us; he debased himself up to the point of totally annihilating himself.”

Pope Francis: Christ “Made Himself the Devil”

There are also some extremely disturbing and, quite frankly, terrifying, implications of the Vatican installing satan as the new head of the church and the shady practices they engage in… so take that for what it’s worth…

Satanic Black Masses at the Vatican

Follow that up with this additional perspective from Pope Francis, and it starts to paint an incredibly sordid and depraved picture…

Pope Francis compares abuse by priests to ‘satanic mass’

I have to admit, one of the reasons why it’s so hard for me to accept the Catholic teachings that the bread and wine literally become Jesus Christ in the flesh and blood, is because it sets a dangerous precedent on consuming the body and blood of the innocent, to maintain a “saving grace” to wipe away one’s own sins. While Jesus Christ Himself should be the ONLY one to turn to, there are certain religious sects that take His word to heart, even further, by following the same verse of John 6:53, but with a slightly different meaning that changes everything:

53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you
John 6:53

We see that “Son of Man” is capitalized, which presumes that it is a title given to Jesus Christ. However, if one were to take this verse literally and dissect its meaning, well, most of us would not consider Jesus Christ to be the “Son of Man”. Don’t we all consider Him the Son of God? So who is the Son of Man? Why would Jesus Christ be referring to Himself in this way? After all, if the biblical story of Jesus’s birth is any indication, He was not even born from a man but from a virgin woman and the holy spirit in the “Immaculate conception.” Of course, “man” is usually the term used to include all of humanity (mankind), so this could easily be explained away. And since Jesus is not one to boast about His heritage coming from God, He states also that He came from man.

But, as many confused or simply immoral groups will pursue, one can misconstrue any verse and twist its meaning to suit their own agenda. So now this “Son of Man” title can literally refer to ANYONE. “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man (any human being) and drink His (in some translations, “His” is not capitalized) blood, you have no life in you.”

And while people may laugh and scoff at the idea, the history of vampirism is a very real ideology, and there are some that truly believe that in order to have a long and healthy life, one must consume another being’s flesh and drink their blood.

History of Vampires

Even if ‘vampires’ in the traditional sense don’t really exist, there are still many people that believe that consuming other human being’s flesh/blood will give them a longer lifespan and/or give them mystical powers. There are also pagans/witches/warlocks… even misguided souls that have reverted to using ‘blood magic’ to help them with their woes or any other number of transgressions or desires:

Practicing Witchcraft: What You Should Know About Blood Magic

While the author of the above article tries to present this practice in a benign way, even setting “rules” as to how one should use blood in their magic, they cannot speak for everyone that they will adhere to this. If we know anything about the human nature and the addictive quality that power (even an allusion of power) gives to anyone, once they get a taste for it, the measures taken goes to extremes and therefore steps outside of the boundaries that was once set upon them.

Although imho, this occultic practice should not even be attempted since it is quite possibly opening doors that should never be opened. It invites spirits/demons in and may be one of the reasons why people claim to be cursed/haunted/possessed, etc.

In closing, while I do agree that the wordings of the verses lean heavily into a physical consumption of the body and blood of Christ, I am also of the belief that translations and interpretations get confused, especially when trying to ascribe meaning and words to an ancient language. (And that’s if the translations are not skewed on purpose…)

After doing all of this research and myself being a believer of Christ, I have come to this understanding:

The ingestion of the bread/wafer that indicates Jesus’s flesh is a symbolic gesture for that person saying, “I come to you, Jesus Christ.” while the drinking of the “wine” is akin to saying, “I believe in you, Jesus Christ.” Not that Jesus was literally referring to Himself as a physical manifestation that people must eat and drink.

35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
John 6:35

It is my belief that Jesus was indeed speaking in metaphorical terms and talking from a spiritual standpoint. He knew that the hard-hearted, the unbelievers, the stubborn materialistic inclinations of some people would not understand His sayings no matter how He worded it. And that some people may be misled by this teaching. So He spoke with this type of parable to the people that could glean meaning and understanding that Jesus Christ is asking His followers to pursue a spiritual path – instead of the physical.

Of course, I have to admit, for Jesus to describe people’s manner of following Him in this way, does leave it open to different perceptions/interpretations. After all, if one were to read His verses in the literal sense, there is no other way to differentiate His meaning other than an actual consuming of His flesh and drinking of His blood. And it’s fascinating that even other Catholics cannot come to a resounding definitive answer as to the purpose of the eucharist/transubstantiation.

But perhaps to clarify, and put this whole situation to rest, Jesus also says this to his disciples after his very controversial, parabolic teaching:

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
John 6:63

Again, why Jesus Christ decided to tell His allegory in such a perplexing way, is perhaps the bigger mystery.

Was He testing His followers and other believers/non-believers alike? To see who would still follow Him and understand this spiritual/conscious teachings?

(And on the flip-side, to see who would take His words literal and continue seeking the physical fulfillment of a worldly life with material sustenance – instead of The Word and Life of the Spirit…)

Bottom line, God knows the motives of our heart. If we come to Him with a sincere and genuine faith and pure intentions, God knows this; and whether we believe in the literal transubstantiation of the eucharist or not, it should not be the key determinant in what kind of person you are or what kind of life you’re living.

After all, one can participate in the mass, yet not be a believer at all…

The Different Origins of Santa Claus

And a look into his evil counterparts.

Sure, most of us know him as a jolly looking fellow with a belly like a bowl full of jelly, but what if I told you that there are much darker depictions and origins of this mystery magic man in red?

Jolly 'Ol Saint Nick. Or is he?

Many believe that Santa Claus was an idea born from a man named Saint Nicholas. The name “Santa Claus” is believed to have evolved from Saint Nicholas’ Dutch name Sinter Klaas (shortened from Sint Nikolaas). Saint Nicholas was allegedly born around 280 A.D. in Patara, near Myra. It wasn’t until the 1770’s that the yearly celebration to honor the death of Saint Nicholas’ began to take hold on December 6th.

Reputation

There are many legends about Saint Nicholas of Myra. One story tells how he helped three poor sisters. Their father did not have enough money to pay their dowries and thought of selling them into servitude. Three times, Saint Nicholas secretly went to their house at night and put a bag of money inside. The man used the money so that one of his daughters could marry. On the third visit, the man saw Saint Nicholas and thanked him for his kindness. He also reportedly saved three men who were falsely imprisoned and sentenced to death.
Saint Nicholas Biography (biography.com)

To see images of what Saint Nicholas may have looked like, an artist, Luigi Martino, rendered an interpretation of what he believed Saint Nick really looked like by analyzing what researchers allege to be his bones/remains. There is also a forensic reconstruction that was created in Russia in 2004. You can see those images here.

Now, that’s the official story.

Of course, I like to dig around and research other possibilities instead of accepting the first thing that comes up. So with a little digging, we see more stories from a wide range of different beliefs, and not pleasant ones at that.

But instead of rewarding children with gifts and treats, he either gives them a bundle of birch wood (because that’ll show them) or, he threatens them and tortures them with the birch wood, and/or among other extremely horrendous actions.

Krampus – The Half-Goat, Half-Demon Devil of Christmas

Most renditions of this creature depict him as having one human foot, one cloven hoof, with horns at the top of his head and covered in fur, and a very demonic looking face. He would be known as the antithesis to the usual Christmas Santa Claus.

Some people have already mentioned the anagram of “Santa” being “satan”, but not too many people are aware that the name “Krampus” is derived from the German word “krampen”, which means claw.

One could let their imagination run wild with those theories, but there’s more where that came from.

Jultomten

Various customs developed which involved dressing up as a julbock. One example, probably from the 18th century, involved making a julbock‘s mask and fixing it to a rod, which was then tied to a man’s back. When the time came to become more goat-like, the man would lean forward and a friend would throw a blanket over him (see the above sketches). The ‘goat’ would then run around, probably just to scare children!

Julklapp

Another tradition developed of knocking hard on the front door of a house, leaving a straw goat with a joke verse and then running away. The tradition is the origin of the word julklapp (Christmas present), which literally means ‘Yule knock’.

Gradually knocking and running away became less common as the goat’s role shifted towards becoming the giver of Christmas gifts, so in 19th century Christmas presents in Sweden were often distributed by a person dressed up as a julbock, or at least wearing a goat’s face mask.

Tomte and Santa (swedishfood.com)

Huh. Interesting. Another reference to a goat.

There’s also another allusion to birch wood to punish children. Weird that the stories of both Krampus and Santa Claus would involve this form of punishment. This was seen from an American book that chose to depict Santa Claus punishing children with a birch rod, which is strange since that’s one of the punishments that Krampus allegedly used…

In 1821 the image of St. Nicholas changed significantly again when he appear in an American book called the Children’s Friend. Now he arrived from the North on Christmas Eve, rather than on December 6th, in a sleigh with a flying reindeer. But he wasn’t quite like our modern Santa Claus as he carried a birch rod to punish badly-behaved children, although the sleigh did have toys and a shelf of books for rewarding well-behaved children. Along with appearance changes, the saint’s name shifted to Santa Claus—a natural phonetic alteration from the German Sankt Niklaus.

Père Noël and His Evil Counterpart, Le Pere Fouettard

I am not sure why the idea of Father Christmas, Santa Claus, etc., seems to need to come in two parts. One good, one evil. But here we have it again, this time in the French/Belgium culture.

We have the benevolent face of Père Noël (Father Christmas), the one we’re all used to and love.

And then we have another person who, again, seems to be working in part with him, either due to guilt and repentance, or because apparently we just can’t have something good for the sake of it.

Le Pere Fouettard’s (which literally means Father Whipper) history is that he was an evil innkeeper and along with his wife, were involved in horrible cannibalistic atrocities towards children. Père Noël caught him in the act and resurrected the children, then recruited Mr. Father Whipper to apparently terrorize the children into behaving well, literally “cracking the whip” at them to scare them into behaving.

La Befana

The tale of La Befana (Italian Christmas tradition that celebrates the Epiphany) predates that of Saint Nicholas himself. Whereas St. Nick’s birth is said to have been on 270 A.D., the story of the “Christmas Witch” begins with Jesus Christ’s birth and the three Magi during their search for him. Of course, while there is alleged physical proof of St. Nicholas’ remains, supposedly, that of La Befana is still up for debate.

According to the legend, which does differ from story to story, the three wisemen stopped by the witch’s abode and asked for help in searching for the baby Jesus. She directed them to follow the bright star in the sky. Some stories state that they were already in the process of following the Star of Bethlehem, and asked the witch if she would like to come with them to meet the Christ child. She declined, as she needed to continue doing her housework, but said that she would catch up with them later.

Alas, she could not find them, and even took to the sky on her broom to look for them. During her search, it’s said that she brought with her treats and small gifts to give to the good children, and coal, garlic and onions for the naughty children, in honor of the three wisemen’s gift-giving to Jesus. She also used the chimney to enter the homes, or even keyholes, if need be.

Kris Kringle

Speaking of Santa Claus and Jesus Christ, one can’t mention “Christmas” without mentioning Jesus Christ, which should be the basis of the whole gift-giving tradition. Of course, due to the hectic, busy nature of Christmas and buying gifts all willy-nilly for everyone on your list, sometimes the whole reason for the Christmas season is lost on many.

What should be a time to reflect and give thanks to the gift that Jesus Christ Himself gave to the world and appreciating those in our life, this holiday is instead rife with extreme consumerism and panic induced sale-shopping to get the best deal not only on Christmas presents, but for gifts to ourselves as well. (At least for some people.)

The name Christkindl was coined by Martin Luther, ironically to try and get away from the honor of Saint Nicholas, but instead actually helped cement the whole gift-giving tradition and increased the “Santa Claus” popularity. Christkindl, also Kris Kringle, is translated to mean “Christ kind” or “Christ child” and is normally depicted as an angelic-like and/or child-like figure with blonde hair and wings, or  even as Jesus Christ.

Christkind: How Does this Christmas Gift-Bringer Differ from Santa Claus?

This account seems to simply be based on Martin Luther’s desire to get away from what he thought was the blasphemous tradition of worshiping and honoring a saint. Still, although this account seems to be from Martin Luther’s rendition of this holiday tradition, it is still celebrated in certain households.

And although Martin Luther strayed from the Saint Nicholas theme, it seems as if the similarity between Saint Nick’s partnership with a darker being can still be seen in a different form. There are depictions of this “Christ kind” seeming to work alongside Hans Von Trapp, another terrible figure known for his barbaric nature in harming and killing children. Again, the relationship between the “good force” and the “evil force” is seen working in conjunction with each other.

Why is Santa Claus sometimes associated with a “darker” personage in folklore traditions, that works in cahoots with him? Where did this development come from? Is the historic roots really based on reality? Did St. Nick really recruit a wicked man/being to work alongside him in order to frighten children into behaving?

And why are some of the depictions an evil, goat-like being?
Doesn’t sound very jolly-like. All of these revelations give new meaning to the lyrics “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”:

You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

He’s making a list
And checking it twice;
Gonna find out Who’s naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He knows if you’ve been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!

O! You better watch out!
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He knows if you’ve been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!

O! You better watch out!
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

There are many more interesting tales that relate to the history and origin of “Santa Claus” from many other different cultures around the world. Usually they will have something similar in common, whether it’s bringing gifts to good little children who behave, or punishing those naughty, misbehaving children, to a “good” Santa Claus and his partner in crime who dishes out the punishment (or whether they’re both one in the same..), to a certain fondness for porridge or other foods and drink to be used as a means to appease these magical visitors.

Could these stories simply be a way for parents to control unruly children? Is there any truth behind these legends? Why are there so many different accounts: from a jolly, sweet old man, to a demonic-like entity as his collaborator, to a kindly good witch and beyond; while at the same time all of these stories having some sort of interesting correlations?

And don’t even get me started on the Christmas elves
