I blame the media. (Or perhaps, I should thank the media for opening my eyes.)
You see, upon researching this topic, all I can think of now is that everywhere I turn, I see nothing but propaganda.
Let me give you an example.
No offense to Mushin Hasan in case his emotions are real in the picture in the following link:
– Experts mourn the Lion of Nimrud, looted as troops stood by
but I couldn’t help but be reminded of Ms. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her photo-op protest at Tornillo lamenting children being caged and separated from their parents. (Which, admittedly, is a real tragedy – however, one can’t help but feel as if these particular photographs taken by Ivan Pierre Aguirre weren’t staged.)
– AOC Shares (Totally Not At All Staged) Photos Of Her ‘Concentration Camp’ Tour, and Twitter Wasn’t Impressed
And yes, even though the infiltration of the Baghdad Museum happened in 2003, while the Cortez incident allegedly happened in 2018, we can’t deny that staged photos is a real event with the sole purpose of selling news/views and tugging at heart strings.
Now, again, if Mushin Hasan’s reaction is completely legitimate and just happened to be caught in a perfect-timed photograph, then my apologies and condolences. However, if all of the lies that the governments have initiated on the public are any indication, and how many people have been bribed/coerced/threatened, etc. to participate with them, you’d have to forgive me for having my bouts of skepticism.
Another incident of possible propaganda, is when I came across the name Donny George and his comparison to the heroic Indiana Jones. Immediately I was on guard.
Here we can see theguardian.com heaping praise on the apparent bravery displayed by Mr. George:
–Experts mourn the Lion of Nimrud, looted as troops stood by:
‘Indiana Jones’ archaeologist tells how gangs broke in and calls for borders to be sealed
Then, interestingly, I came across this article, also from theguardian.com, now questioning the legitimacy of the testimony that Mr. George told the world:
– What really happened at the Baghdad museum?
“What really happened?”, indeed. Were there forces of an inside job, along with the cooperation of the US military in some kind of covert, nefarious operation? Quite possibly. Only those directly involved would know for sure. Of course, we probably won’t be hearing any additional information from Donny George himself, since he is alleged to have died from a heart attack at age 60 (some speculate under suspicious circumstances since he and his family were under multiple death threats that ultimately compelled him to flee to the US.)
